I have made a test whit one 27" and 2 7" lcd, this is a blueprint havent tested it in real life, but mabe it can help you. Let me know if you need the .dxf file. /David

Im gonna put the smd on my backplate, just need to figure out how to get light in to the buttons, working on the blueprint right now and maby i can fit smal diodes on the back of the button, just next to the pin on the smd. And i will try to light it from behind and see if the light goes trow allt the way.

Yes it is, But as the framework for this lcd does not sit exactly in the middle, so you get a little short on space whit the buttons around the LCD, but it will probably work in some way :)

Yes its the same 4" lcd, a very nice lcd. I was so lucky that I found an old video card with s-video out, which was ATI the same that I use now, so it was possible to use both. have a plan ready for the CDU, but I have to do some more research how it should look like, as you say the RL is not the same as in the game. I'm thinking of making a PCB for it, or maybe I do something with SMD Push Button attached to the backplate. But a PCB is better :)

I got the lcd working so now its time to make the CDU!!
