@Art-J.. Gozr - probably because only minority of folks have FFB sticks? Notice that most (if not all) youtube previewers used Warthogs or similar gear. Keeping modern software compatible with the old Microsoft FFB (no matter how good it is) is going to be a problem. Ok here a very good example. DCS is aiming to be complex and great simulation. I know people that had Cougar's, warthogs and what do they have today ? well they keep their great throttles and use a FFB M$ or G940 etc,. if you want the most fidelity with an virtual aircraft you should invest into good gears that can simulate more or less some forces since those forces are very important on an aircraft in RL. and .. DCS should never alienate FFB's and more sophisticated hardware. You always do the best to cover all . I hope I make some sens.

This post is not made to hurt feelings but just a serious matter and criticism to obtain a better product to our actual hardware. I'm not here to rub no body's back but tell how it is in our end. While testing beta or Alpha the tester should be frank to every angles to have the best performances on programs and graphics optimization. We all know how difficult and time consuming and beauty this aircraft is. no doubt I cannot give any flight model input or review with this low fps that can affect the aircraft negatively unless lowering all graphics to a minimum like on the tests reviews we all saw online from beta testers or reviewers. lacking to tell about low fps make me doubt. If someone give me an aircraft to test I'll tell how it is directly for the best results with the appropriate settings etc. In the other hands i'm very excited by the MiG-21 and the up coming MiG-15 which i have experience with and hopefully this will be optimize soon.

SkateZilla, " So a Small FPS Decrease " Are you serious to call this a small hit ? it's important to optimize and not letting it pass. no this is a serious problem and it should of been seriously taken in consideration.. this remind me of the first Lockon no one could run it .. it took 10 years to do so basically and we shouldn't wait that long again. i am rough about this but this is serious if we ALL want to enjoy the flight sim and to have new comers. The MiG-21 is very well done and a great work but now ot's the optimization that should be adressed

Now thinking of this why no FFB problem reported in Alpha/beta before? as flying in RL I can tell with out any doubt and reservation FFB is the only good way . you can get any ultra expensive sticks but it wont cut out. invest in FFB. ;) So a fix should come quickly thanks to LN... hopefully

Well wao!! hummmmmm doubt FFB ? joystic doing a buzz sound when activated.. and stay activated after DCS off. ( can cause damage ? ) ? .. Hope a serious boost with EDGE.. unflyable atm.. ( shouldn't be due to 3D polygons count, modern days GPU should eat this right up maybe a dx9 problem ? but maybe by gauges quantity to compute ? ) -Polygons/computing optimization solution? Horrible FPS ( Only for the MiG21 cockpit view and external directed toward 3D model ) Why double set keys ? FFB ON/OFF in DCS interface and in MiG21 controls ? I barely touch it .. landing the Su-25 onto a carrier it's a "hell of more fun" than the SFM's SU-33 no a doubt about it. ;) ( Su-27, Su-33 and MiG-29 are a no go to me in their actual FM state )

Well i remember i did in the older version . but it really shouldn't matter AFM or not more of a question of a invisible graound damage box level somewhere in today's version.

Well I would treat it as a bug.. landing the Su-25T onto a carrier is not too difficult and fun but there is something that ovoid to completely stop.. at the ramp. some kind of damage box invisible? All is ok but at the amp this.. The aircraft explose when stopped and not touching ground. I should believe that it shouldn't matter what aircraft used for landing or a touch go, it shouldn't have this problem. Thx I have a track as well
