Well, there is such thing as dual-channel access to memory, which gives some advantage when handling large data volumes - i.e. in game loading times. It won't work if your modules are not in pairs. If you plan to go for overclocking - take OCZ, radiator and EPP (enhanced performance profiles) would be of much help in that case. The memory subsystem on all desktop motherborads will work with speed of the slowest component, i.e. if you install DDR2-1200 RAM - it will work as DDR2-800 (if you do not remove old modules) or 1066 (if you do). So in your case best choice is to get rid of the old modules and buy 2 fresh 2048Mb DDR2-1066 (aka PC2-8500) (A small note: the rating is not frequency, DDR2-800 chips work at 200MHz with 400MHz bus frequency - though in stores it will be named "800MHz")

Not guaranteed, but may work: try shutting down unused devices, like Firewire aka 1394 port, unused IDE/ATA/SATA controllers, parallel ports in BIOS. This will free IRQs in system. But only if you know what you are doing.

But there's not much to discuss, IMHO. Either ED fixes that, either they don't. In FC 2.0 the problem with ET seekers seems to be addressed, but by expence of adding another trouble - flare ineffectiveness when the heat-seeker is launched in-front. In addition, some fusing problems are obviously also looked through (Chizh gathered data on missile fusing radius a while ago) So, anyways, it worth looking on the update first.

Дело в том, что Falcon 4.0 и Falcon 4.0 Allied Force - слегка разные игры. Второй - это аддон, вышедший через 6 лет после оригинала. Но основа та же. Больше материалов на русском, к сожалению, нет, но мануал, на который я дал ссылку, вполне актуален и для AF.

Безусловно стоит. Falcon 4.0, 4.0 Allied Force, Open Falcon и FreeFalcon в основе одинаковы. Русскую версию мануала к Falcon 4.0 (обычному) можно взять здесь. А отличие версий мануала... Возможно, скачивался тоже мануал к обычному Falcon 4.0?
