  3. Welcome to LockOn Community Exercise Red Flag 2008. This thread is an information thread only, just as last years threads. It ill be designed to disseminate information to the community about this mission LOCERF 08-4. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE GENERAL INFORMATION THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE A MODERATOR. ease post your questions etc over on the 159th forums found here: http://www.the159th.com/forum It will continue to be the official spot for all planning etc. Please be advised that the LOCERF rules have been amended and can be viewed here: http://www.the159th.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3387 LOCERF 08-4 DATES: The next mission will commence at 1400 zulu on 19th July 2008. If you are interested in participating in the next RedFlag please PM S77th-GOYA no later than 30th June 2008 at 2200 zulu. You must include in your post: Number of Slots Requested The type of aircraft you request (for example 51st requests 4 Su-25t's and 4 Su-33's) If you do not PM S77th-GOYA with this information then you will not be considered for the next mission. __________________ All Lonewolf Pilots: Please PM with the same information. Unless you have already done so, you will be required to pass a checkride in order to participate in the mission. __________________ The number of pilots that will participate in this mission will be limited to what is considered maximum for server stability. IF YOU REQUEST A SLOT IN REDFLAG YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FILL IT!!!!!! In the past we have had teams who decided to leave or pull out of the mission at the last moment. Please be considerate of your team mates and realize that you are hurting your entire team by not showing up. This also includes briefings etc, make sure you represent your squad and yourself well and attend scheduled briefings and the mission. S!
  4. In US planes you can always watch the radar screen. If it's active, then the radar is on. It works in all modes I think. In russian planes though, I dont think you'll see it in nav mode...
  5. I dont care much about dropping (or shooting) nukes myself, but maybe for the big bombers? If you fail intercept them them, you'll see a big result :)
  6. Looks promising :)

Congrats Russia! :) The Swedes were just standing still:huh:
  8. In LOCERF 08-2 (GOYA made it), the mission file was ~260kb. Without the ~70 planes with wpts added, The file was ~120kb. So you see, just the aircraft themself represent 140kbs of the file. Now you cant have a LOCERF without SAMs, Ground targets etc. :) However, you're also saying that that one was more stable anyway , and as far as I know, this one was not much larger in size. I try to make em small as well, but often you cant cut on SAMs or aircraft... I agree on the scenes thing though. Alot (not all) of the drops and lag is often client based.

  20. I dont think anyone implied that US pilots didnt have any feeling and fear, just the advatages the US had in both numbers and technologies. If Ive understood it correctly, this particular fight was a 2vs1 (with some radio problems), and with a Second element beeing ready in to engage in the 'backround'. So if thing got really nasty, they would most likely have pressed the bandit. But there wasnt any reason since Dozer put the bandit defensive and pressed til the bandit was downed. Rhen, how far behind was the second element of his flight? And how close must they be for it to be called a 4vs1 instead of a 2vs1? ...
  21. Happy B-day Viper!! ;)
