Comrade, Im not saying you're wrong. But to base a "theory" on test by one machine, be it good or bad, is no very valid, even if it's correct...

Interesting results, but I think saying it's confirmed is a bit much, yet. Considering the test have only been performed on your computer so far. Others should make such test as well so we can get a more "scientific" result on the problem. Also, post your specs and settings. :) Im gonna try it now :)

I use a Samsung SyncMaster 204B, 20inch with 1600x1200 (also in-game). Works very good and response is good as well I guess :)

Sounds like you're EXTREMLY unlucky.:( Ive flown alot of HL in my "Lockon Career" and I rarely encounter any cheat. From time to time one sees some guy warping, but hey, thats no proof of anything, is it. ECM macros are rare and Ive never encountered a bandit which seems to have perfect SA and dodge all my missiles. Usually when I die, I know what I did wrong and change to the next time. People are very qiuck in yelling CHEATER!, coz they thought they were invincible. I even got accused of ECM-blinking when I was using normal ECM (coz of the blinking nature of a ECM strobe on the Russian HUD... But then again, im not saying that these cheaters do not exist. Sure, someone surley faced one on HL or whatever, but I think they make up <1% of the people flying LO.

You're saying that if I launch a ET at 30km with no lock, it will be more effective than a 120 launched with lock and fully supported, at the same distance? I think not.... Sure the ET is really lethal, but mostly due to no lock-warning, not that the seeker is much more uber...

Can you prove that? Coz I would really like to see that... What Im trying to say is that the ET might be flawed, but so are the ARHs (and not just under-modeled...)

Yes, you can, but so can the ET's. And in RL, at 30km-40km, the ARH would have a much better possibility to hit. However, fact remains, both have little chance of reaching a manuevering target. While in LO, both are quite successful...

Their INS has nothing to do with launching without lock. The scan zones of the ARH are enormous. You cant defend that....
