  1. The cloud skating or cutting is just amazing to watch.
  2. The SU-27 AFM would be gorgeous. Or SU-33 ... I just love those huge beauties.
  3. Exactly... about 6 years of school and training. And then you still have to be the top 3% guy if you want to fly the F-16 ... well that was at least 20 years ago. Don't know how the standards changed till then. And that's only for the chance to get to fly that thing. Then about 2 years of another training. I'm just in middle of the Viper pilot book by Dan Hampton... :music_whistling: :joystick:
  4. Comparing FC level planes to arcade games is a bit off I would say. Show me any other arcade flight sim that will do following things to you when certain situations happen... Killing you when you over G. Tears your wings of when you over G. Asks you to start up your engines in different way than increasing throttle. Will not allow you to fire unless you enable your weapons and choose the proper mode. Will shut off your engine if you fly in a bad manner. Will require a proper fuel management. Will not give you radar and instant targeting for any enemy near you. I could continue on and on here...
  5. Maybe they do not want to use paint but give it a different tint of a metal look? Just guessing... :music_whistling:
  6. I do not think this is a problem of translator... From what i could understand, does he mean imediate score show ups during flying?
  7. I suppose that the new Saitek X-55 could do the job also. According to the Frooglesim channel its very precise.
  8. Would love to see it also. The AFM for SU-33 is then only one step ahead. :)
  9. For me the FC3 updates are simple steps to provide a full featured planes in future. From my point of view they are trying to achieve some kind of middle ground where you have FC level of aircrafts that have all the features except click-able cockpits and full featured systems. And then you have a single purchase packages which will upgrade your plane to next level. Developing the systems for F-18 is the key I suppose as then they will be able to implement the same systems in the FC aircrafts with less effort. The AFMs will be done by that point and 3D cockpits are on the way also...
  10. SU-27 already has AFM? I did not know that. Good! To be honest I have bought the FC3 today, but I will not be able to fly anything in it for about 20 days from now on.
  11. I would love to see AFM for SU-27 and 33 ... I hope it's on the way as those planes would really deserve it.
  12. I'm looking forward to buying this one eventually.
  13. The Su-25 also has a pilot in it from what i can remember.
  14. Hmm it will take at least one or two months before I will be able to buy this stick in my country...
  15. Maybe you have already seen it but I would also suggest to watch this video: He covers the basics how to turn properly and how to avoid vortex rings... Regarding the problem with the turning, the helicopter wants to return to previous heading after turn for two reasons, either your autopilot interferences or the heli still has negative inertia. So turn off the keep current heading autopilot and try it again. If you still experience the same problem, then you will have to compensate for the turn until the inertia will balance out. From my experience being gentle with the stick is the key. Jerking it too much will cause the most issues. Also map the remove trim button somewhere so you can stabilize the craft without too much problems. Also do not forget to hide the Gears. I have problems remembering this and it causes issues at higher speeds, you will be fighting the plane a lot more with them out.
  16. Hello I'm new here also and I had the same issue with trimmer as you. I do not have now after I have watched this video: And regarding the need to have hand on stick all the time. That's also solved now after I have played the tutorial missions from the community here. Map the autopilot keys on your hotas and you will be golden. :) It's really unbelievable how easy is the helicopter to fly when you know how you can utilize the autopilot options and on route way point follow. For example trimming and afterwards enabling the hold altitude autopilot will leave you with a lot of room for cockpit clicking. You can also use auto-hover for example... The autopilot is sophisticate enough that it can fly the whole mission for you and land at the end. With some minor adjustments of course... Check the training mission here in KA 50 forums.
  17. Ok, then there is other thing to solve with Oculus. I am using glasses as I do not see well at long distances. From what I have read, the screen is made to appear far away from you with the optics. What I'm afraid of is that I will have to use glasses to be able to focus properly, but I really do not want to have glasses on with oculus at the same time.
  18. From what I have read, it does not have two stage trigger. I don't know if that is true but if yes, then it could be better to buy the x-52pro for A-10C.
  19. For the time being I have ordered a webcam with nightvision and I will try to make it work with facetracknoir app. The webcam was really cheap, about 10 euros only... But I have question to those who use the app, is the virtual joypad driver needed for the application to work? Thank you.
  20. Same feelings here. Im enjoying the black shark a lot. :)
  21. Maybe in one year I will be able to do so Pharoah. :)
  22. I was trying the freetrack too but it was crashing each time when i wanted to start the tracking. I would like to see the silly hat though :) The webcam with ir dioedes is a good idea and its cheap too! Btw. Im from Czech republic too. Ahoj :)
  23. Well if that is true, then I will eventually buy the trackir but I will wait for the final version of Oculus and then decide. And to ask you something, the blur is caused by the small resolution, or by the optics in the device? I do understand that high resolution is good for spotting targets at long distances if you want to do so by looking from the cockpit. I'm really new in this game I have only destroyed targets in training mission so far. :)
  24. I have, I really would like to have it, but it's so overpriced I cannot even think about it. I would rather wait for the Oculus. I have tried to make Facetracknoir to work and it is somehow acceptable, but as I'm playing mainly during the night in a room where my wife is actually sleeping while I'm playing, I cannot use it as it needs a bit of light to work at acceptable level. But I do understand why people buy it, it's a next level in the sim and it's essential when you want to play with HOTAS only.
