  2. Hey nice server you have there! :thumbup: But i ask if you could add in the future some more "realistic" missions, where there is an one long frontline rather than this "active target areas" for A2G planes? Similiar to the 51st US server had/has.
  3. It's like "sticking an long iron bar deep into muddy ground and trying to push that bar" said some finnish bf109 ace when diving the plane +800 km/h and leveling it up.
  4. Last time i played in some multiplayer ww2 server, i was parked and engine off in my fw190. Some quy made fly by's over me with his K4 and that didn't sound nothing like v12 engine.. in fact it sounded more like a RC-plane :megalol: Yesterday played after long time some il2 46 with latest HSFX mod and damn, the daimler-benz even sounded something like real engine (external and internal)
  5. The videos posted by DB 605 gives kind of accurate sound if not the best atleast 85% what you could hear IRL. Everyone can agree that the current engine sound ia wayy off. Even a Cessna 172 sounds more powerfull :music_whistling:
  6. Look more closely the new "smoke". The smoke trail is too short and it lacks that curly shape caused by turbulence. Now it looks like the candle flares... Maybe the textrure is better than the old one's but the shape ain't no good. Oh boy i wait what kind of new chemtr.. i mean contrail effect we see when EDGE comes. Hope its better done than this
  7. Limitations of ED's current sound engine or the audio "specialist" hasn't simply focused enough with the sound.. Hope the sound gets little better over time :thumbup: Basically every ww2 prop plane sound in DCS world at the moment lack that "something".
  8. Ha! They look like the current candle flares except that "star shape lens flare". And that smoke trail needs more life.. :cry: The old ones were way better. C'mon ED's "effects artist" you can do better!
  9. Yeah some pics please. In my opinion the old flares were quite good looking, but maybe too bright at daytime. Is the flare "ballistics" changed? I mean with the old flares when dropping them at speeds like 800-1000 km/h they loose speed too slow. (they stay within the aircraft too long like they were some slick iron bombs)

  13. How you know the debriefing stats are messed up? I have done some "tests" and they seem to be kind accurate. When i first time tested the FW190 againts a AI p51 and he took some hits both cannons and mg's , it started smokin and still he flew like the plane was never took any damage. When i looked the debriefing stats i stopped counting after 10 cannon hits and thought never again against AI :megalol: (this was something like 3 months ago and have't played with dora since then) There's lot of comments by people in this thread about "many registered cannon hits in the debriefing stats"
  14. Well yeah, basically i was speaking about the AI damage model:music_whistling: And that thing simply sucks bad, the player DM is indeed much better/ more realistic... And DavidRed, Trying to improve? we are not part of ED team and this "complaining" is the audience way to "improve" / make things better. You know too by yourself, that the current AI damage is bad.. The pony should'nt be flying after 20 20mm hits.:)
  15. The DCS World's current damage model simply sucks. Even the old il2 46 DM beats 10-1 DCS's DM.
  16. Bucic. Have you seen il2 CLOD 3d stick animation? The animation of the stick movement is something like 3 fps :) That's what i call "jerky" movement and in DCS world the stick movement is perfectly smooth, if not (like in those videos you posted) it's the joystick fault or very bad hardware. The end.
  17. Correct. That trailer is definitely made with EDGE. At least we have new countermeasure flare effect :thumbup: But we all know that it's still W.I.P
  18. Hope we get also new contrail and missile smoke trail effects with the EDGE. I see there's still that ugly flickering smoke in the new su-27 trailer, even its shooted with EDGE?
  19. More different cloud types and real time weather would be nice too, like fsx.
  20. Remember to lock the tail wheel. I just ram the throttle to the max and relase the brakes and simply use the rudder to steer. At 100-150 km/h center the stick, 200 km/ we're in the air! Nothing special or hard to do.. I'm using TM 16000m.

Yes its true you get some high G's with every current plane while rolling and sometimes you even hear the pilot heavy "G- breath":lol: But in MiG's case it's like the runway is full of craters, when the other planes rolls "realistically" smooth in exterior and interior view. So theres something wrong with Bison too and the dev's are working with this issue.
  22. Maybe because it's suspension dynamics are simply f**ked up! :) Hopefully this is fixed in the next update, when it comes.. in 2016.. Just kidding :D
  23. I've always used mouse look from IL2 to DCS. I don't see any disadvantage at using mouse in dogfight , except when i need to use throttle, i fast "jump" from mouse to throttle lever in my joystick, (so basically third arm would be nice :)) IMO best way is to map the joystick's (example) left hat switch to mouse clickaple mode (LAlt + C ) and the scroll wheel to use the "6Dof thing" and the zoom (if you have clickaple mouse wheel.) Very simple to use and easy. Only minus thing is the throttle proplem in the thrill of dogfight :) And last who the heck uses joysticks hat switch to look around! i mean seriously! :D
  24. Well generally at the moment all the DCS World particle effects are awful except the wing tip vapour :thumbup: I wish we had at least a new contrail effect when EDGE arrives... But i think im just too optimistic :music_whistling: BTW the artist who designs all the effects should look at example the current il2 46 hsfx particle effects wich are great even the game is very old...
