I beg to differ on this.... although do you think it would be nice to show pride of your squad skin online, without having all the others download via a third party url? Not to mention, I did request that the host have the ability to allow or prevent skin downloads... Edit: for me it merits some major attention. I have yet to see a 20 meg skin within lomac. Again, like I said initially, give the host the ability to allow or prevent download skins..., third of the same, man , still have to repeat myself, dawm, lol ;) Think off the big picture in the end. So far I see beta testers replying so limited to there own opinion, man... Do testers have imagination? I only posted this request to seek better improvement in multiplayer that we already have right now. Doing so, to give credit to skinners in this community. Shit I never heard of a 20 meg skin. If it exist, then issue is not with the community, but the ability of the skinner to trim down… Humm, Again, I repeat, give the ability to turn off the download from the host. You don’t need to be a beta tester to see where improvement should be implemented, reckon the community itself speak for themselves. By your math, IL2 would have died long time ago, but it's still living strong as we speak. Not that I compare apples to oranges. Thanks for the heads up. I knew it was mention before, don’t recall the thread itself. But we no longer live in dark ages, 15meg, although I admit is a bit big for a download skin. Like I mentioned initially, give the host the ability to allow or prevent… This would fix the issue. Hate to see such a feature being brush off for a bandwidth issue. Would think that most users, especially flyers that fly online on HL have some sort of high speed connection, you rarely see a dialup users trying to connect… I pitty them if they try. What's the point? Dialup users should never play such a sim via the bandwith it requires for stability online...Only thing it does is to bring the flight session down, due for the lag that they implement... Hi, My request is; would it be possible for multiplayer sessions, to put in place a skin download feature. Similar to what they have implemented in IL2? So many nice skins available out there, provided by the Lockon community, why not make it available for other to see, by joining a host. Example: An option might be enable on the host side to allow or prevent, such feature if the host prefers to see & fly with the originals… Some might argue that this option would allow peeps to install “invisible” skins. Note I’ve yet to see this happen on IL2, fact remains cheaters will always find ways to cheat. But taken in consideration of allowing the option of allowing or prevent downloads from the server, skin wise, then I would think, this feature would be something to exploit, would be beneficial for the community as a whole… True maybe not for BS, although I still wish it.
