Vista, what a freaking pain... I could not save any modification made to any *.cfg or *.lua files until I tried to disable UAC security feature to see if that worked and it did, and yes my account shows that I have admin privileges from the get go, what’s the point of saying you are admin if MS you don’t allow any modification without providing the valid source reason? LOL. It even never asked me if I wanted to modify the file as admin privileges. Just replied you cannot save the file, either it does not exist… something within those lines. Anyhow disabling UAC fixed the issue, and no more nagging screen when running apps and stuff. Ok, Aero desktop feature of transparency seems to be the major culprit here. It hangs less, but still hangs if I enter the game, not fly then if I click on exit, it will hang. But If I fly then exit, it closes normally. I can't wait for the service pack to get out. Hoping it will fix lots of these issues. Thanks gents for your assistance. Ok, FC works, although had to waste a activation since the save key utility did not do its job. Engines sound are very loud in game, I can live with that, will try and tweak it as such. But now every time I exit the applications, it hangs. Realtek, humm, possible fix for this dilemma, since it does come on my MB, but in true form, already tested it (with other games like bf2, 2142). The X-Fi has better sound quality IMO. But thanks for the heads up. I might give it a try with FC. Then again that isn’t my real concern. The stick configuration is one pain that I do not wish not to re assign all manually. Any Ideas on how come I cannot replace the *.ini file? I can replace it, but the assign key seems not take effect (compared to Xp)… If I can get that issue working, then I would be a happy camper…. And no, I cannot revert this system back to Xp yet. I'm keeping the Xp key for a 2nd system that I'm working on. Thanks

Hi gents, First, huge thanks for your contribution on a amazing sim. My question is, will BS be fully compatible with Vista? I mean, thoroughly tested with the vista OS? I know, some may argue that all the issues are driver related. But is there a commitment to attempt to make sure that it’s fully functional under that OS? I know, still not DX10. But vista is backward compatible DX wise. I do not have issues with other games or sim on vista so far, only lockon is the one being the greater challenge. The reason why I’m asking. On my rig, it’s obvious that FC has issues with Vista, especially in the sound department, among other thing. I still have too many issues that prevent me to enjoy FC under vista. Yes it will run, but at the cost of loosing sound quality, other bug that I have is my stick *.ini file is not loading as it should be expected under Xp, not sure why. (yes still using a sidewinder pro, and using inside game config) I want to replace the initial setup that I’m used to that comes with the config made by ED for the 1.02 version. For FC, under xp, easy fix, rename the old sidewinder profile to the present active *.ini file. That brings back the key bindings that I’m used too. But for some odd reason, that does not work under Vista. I would appreciate any help in that department if anyone has any clues on a fix for this. Thanks again, keep up the good work. When in external, zooming your aircraft or any object, increasing the zoom aspect, seems theres a barrier that you cannot zoom more...

Question. Is there a way to remove the limitation of the zoom in external view?

Thanks :D I admit the formation sequence is too long, the action is to short, camera angles on the action needs to be re worked. But it was a test. Hi ED, First thanks for a great sim. Looking forward for Black Shark. I have small concern on the registry save key application on your website. I recall in the old days it did worked by experience. But seems, it’s no longer the case. My FC was working fine, no upgrade of any kind when I backed it up, timestamp not that old as well. Unfortunately I had to re install the OS, Xp, due to a bug, etc… Re install Lock-on, download and install FC, merge the key in question, reboot, still does not recognized, it says I had modified my setup to much in short, witch it’s not the case, I give you my word on that. I bought FC on day 1, and looking forward to get BS on day 1 as well. My concern is that the application in question to save the key, no longer seems to work like it did in the old days, has the entry been modified on it's location in the registry? Would you be able to look into this issue since, now, I’m down to 3 activation left. The application seems obsolete at this time, unless someone can shed some light… I still have some activation left. But I’m concern that I will be left in dark, if and when I have to re install again. As you know, windows OS are prone for virus and spy ware, so sometimes out of our control. We don’t have much of choice. Should the application saving key be revised? Anyhow, thanks for listening and for a great sim.
