  1. I have it on dual boot, because of my addiction to Lockon.:D
  2. I just installed Fedora, having a ball learning it. Check out this link, never thought Linux would have awesome eye candy. Vista Aero is nothing compared to that ;) Cheers
  3. Just wanted to say HEY and give my blessing. Happy Farthers day buddies....:smartass: Thanks for my father, without him I am nothing.. Cheers.....
  4. I had the same issues with Lomac sounds when I installed vista business on my pc. I tried everything. I called it quits after a week, could not live with it. Reverted back to Xp soon after. from Creative lab faqs; Solution ID # 25937 Audio in Windows Summary: In this article, we would like to address questions and concerns raised by customers regarding compatibility of Creative audio products with Windows Vista. Audio issues In general, issues relating to Creative audio products may be divided into one of four categories: The Windows Vista audio engine runs faster than the Windows XP audio engine did, and Vista has tighter requirements on audio buffer position accuracy than XP did. This exposed low level driver bugs that we had not been seen before. Issues that may be encountered: Audio dropouts, distortions that only happen once in a while, constant distortions, or audio/video synchronization drift that only happens after several hours of watching movies. Status: We are working daily to address issues in this category, and we have recently published drivers for Vista for some of our products that address these. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you find our latest drivers continue to exhibit symptoms such as those described. The Vista audio architecture changes the way per-stream audio processing works, which required us to write new software to support this. Issues that may be encountered: CMSS no longer works on audio streams from the OS. Status: Features based on Windows XP architecture must be rewritten to conform to the new Vista architecture, and we have a team of software engineers, project managers and testers dedicated to this task in order to provide our customers the same seamless audio experience under Windows Vista that they enjoyed under Windows XP. The Vista audio architecture disables DirectSound 3D hardware acceleration; resulting in legacy DirectSound based EAX game titles not working as they did in XP. Issues that may be encountered: Could range from loss of EAX functionality in EAX enabled games to a complete game incompatibility, depending on how the game title was authored. This would only happen with games that render 3D audio using DirectSound, it should not affect games that render 3D audio using OpenAL. Status: These issues cannot be addressed by the Creative audio driver, because the functionality was purposely removed by the operating system. We look forward to game titles moving away from DirectSound and toward OpenAL for fully optimized Creative 3D audio hardware and technology support. Bugs in Vista. Issues that may be encountered: The user mode audio stack is nearly 100% brand new software. As a result, there are indeed issues whose root cause is in the operating system. Status: We are working closely with Microsoft to alert them of any and all issues like this, and we have found them to be cooperative with us in bringing them to resolution.Short story, it has not been fixed yet & will it? Your guess is as good as mine:D
  5. Thanks for the high rez pics, just awesome

  8. Don’t get me wrong guys, I love the F15C as any other. I fly all the birds in Lomac. I do not restrict myself to one bird. The F15C has his flaws true. I work with it. But I admit I do get more frustrated engaging in the F15C as opposed to other Air to Air airframes available in lomac. I was just venting… But I still prefer the mig, my choice. But now I’m getting a high flying the Su25T. :smilewink:
  9. Not arguing, but the way ED has set this sim up. The mig has the advantage in my opinion. Harder to see, etc…The f15c sucks, no matter how you look at it… It’s unfortunate…
  10. I agree, reason why I fly the mig, the way it's model. The f15c, stands no chance against it...True some may have valued argument. I have to stop, I love the f15c, but the way it’s model... At 12 Nm you fox 1, 3x then the 120 missiles misses…. Enough said I reckon, there is no real balance. But then again this is my opinion…
  11. I ask myself. Why limit yourself to one bird...learn the limit of each, since it’s there and available…It will make you a better virtual pilot in my book… Limiting yourself to only the f15c, only limits yourself on what you can learn. Remember the f15c is poorly model, the aim 120c in lomac ...

  18. Yep, WOOT, GAI flight status, will make the AI take off only when threats are in the area. Thanks All. So thanks for that info. Will make my mission building more enjoyable. Shit after 5 years of flying lomac sky's, just found something new. Man this sim never stops to amaze me...:smartass:
  19. Thanks, I will play with GAI mode to see what it actualy does, not sure GAI stands for Ground Air Interference? Anyhow, will play around with it, to see what it does. Cheers
  20. Thanks for the quick responce. what is the GAI flight status you can set in editor?
  21. In the mission editor. I heard that you can set the AI to take off when threats comes close to their base. Wondering if that function is the GAI? Assistance appreciated. Thanks in advance
  22. Think outside the box people...:D And GG, about your math, Seems there like 700 plus peeps still playing on IL2, 200+ dedicated server (yes. Did I say dedicated? yes, I reckon I did, even able to run a linux box) while on lomac you have average of 6 dedicated servers with max online I saw around 100 peeps max, being generous on that number. Like I sayd, I dont compare apples to oranges, I Just fly. Been doing so from the begining, look at page one of this forum. lol i'm there. I saw something that I think required our and your attentions, reason I posted it. Thats it, end of story. Ed please make it happen. Cheers
