  1. Personally, I'm not that excited. The news concerning EDGE isn't very encouraging in that it won't be ready by November or December (according the first paragraph of the newsletter). Training aircraft aren't going to be very useful in combat missions so that isn't doing much for me. I would have rather seen a NATO aircraft capable of SEAD missions released.....but that's for another thread.
  2. http://theaviationist.com/2014/10/23/hornet-ball-2014/ If this doesn't give you blood flow....nothing will.:geek:
  3. SEAD I would VERY much love a NATO aircraft capable of SEAD missions. Did I say VERY much, because I MEAN VERY MUCH!!!!
  4. I don't use Steam either. If not for that I would have definitely consider joining. I'm looking for a mature group that flies coop missions.
  5. I would hope it's an option. I prefer no pilot body.
  6. Voice Attack Software
  7. I have..... It doesn't matter.
  8. Yes.
  9. Yes...
  10. When I attempt to replay a track recorded in MP, the track will start normally but then go immediately to the debriefing screen. The track never plays. I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated.
  11. It is runway 13. I believe the heading is 125 or 127.....
  12. I've been avoiding straight on attacks so that I can notch if I need to. I try to close in by basically "weaving" but yet my opponent gets the shot off first and is always able to evade my missiles. The guys on the 104th server are just too good for me. I appreciate the input it has clarified a good deal of my confusion.
  13. That clears up the radar confusion greatly, thanks Frostie.
  14. Its my understanding from other pilots online that turning on radar and/or jamming too early is foolish as it gives away your location. If my opponent has his radar on, he is probably "seeing" me, so what point would there be in not turning on my radar? His radar isn't looking for my radar emissions. Second, I'm told that jamming too early gives you away as well. But again, if he has his radar on, wouldn't it be better to jam so that he can't get accurate altitude/distance on me? I'm not disputing the advice given me, I'm trying to understand it. My opponent is getting his shots off just prior to me which obviously gives him the advantage.
  15. Thanks....I think I've read everything there is on these forums already. I may just have to fact the fact that I have no aptitude for A2A. If I was having a problem with landing I know how to sort it out. I just don't know what to practice. No point in doing the wrong thing over and over again. I'm just getting good at doing the wrong thing. I'm okay against AI, its human opponents where I have no chance.
  16. In an effort to learn A2A, I've been flying the Eagle on MP. I've only had one kill and have been shot down countless times. It's very frustrating and I'm ready to quit and stay with ground attack. But I'm stubborn. I've got a much better understanding of the radar but it hasn't translated into success. Once I lock onto and pursue a target, I fire once I get within 12 miles or so after accelerating and climbing for altitude. It's about that time I get an inbound missile warning. Once I fire a couple of 120Cs, I decelerate and turn away using ECM. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong would be helpful.
  17. What controller are you using?

  20. ......she really doesn't even have to be that good looking. Seriously, there must be somebody out there that's obsessed with this stuff like we are and is looking for a group to participate in.
  21. Generally you get wind information in the briefing. You can then program that information into LASTE. There are some YouTube videos that cover it. Its not difficult.
  22. The learning curve sped up for me when I joined a friendly multiplayer group (Ragtag Air Corps). The more experienced members were great help and the desire to contribute to the mission motivated me to study/practice.
  23. I highly recommend the PRO CLIP.
