  1. Play one of these videos in the background or rip the audio from the video and use that. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=nttr
  2. There's no wobbling? Anytime I've experimented with a different mount for the WH I found that I had some wobbling due to the stiffer resistance of the large spring.
  3. Aside from the obvious issues with you wanting to wear a helmet......The weight of the helmet would get uncomfortable. I've done some training (law enforcement) wearing a helmet and I can't wait to take it off after awhile. I like the idea of saving your cash to upgrade an element of your gaming system.
  4. I recently contacted ED Support inquiring about the new minimum requirements. This is the response I received: Greetings, obviously the same like for DCS. It would be better to have modern Video Card with 3-4 GB of memory And 8-16 GB system RAM. Best regards, Andrey Filin Eagle Dynamics IT Team
  5. I updated to the latest and have no issues logging on to the 104th.

  7. Is disable the same as deactivate. Depending on EDGE's hardware requirements, I may be moving to a new computer. I have no idea what I need to do regarding DCS.
  8. AGREED! No doubt it comes down to the pilot in this sim. You can go to the 104th's server (as one example) and you'll find the better pilots get the majority of kills no matter what aircraft they fly or fly against. There are a number of pilots that fly the F15 only and they too are exceptional against a less skilled pilot. As it has been stated, you need to understand your own strengths/weaknesses as well as the aircraft's strengths/weaknesses. Additionally, and just as important, you need to understand the strengths/weaknesses of your opponent's aircraft. Air2Air is frustrating, as well as enormously satisfying to learn, but never master. I wouldn't blame the aircraft.
  9. I was hesitant on buying the Sabre. Watched several YouTube videos, etc. I even passed up on the recent sale. However, I recently made the purchase and I couldn't be happier. The sim is very well done and it's been a ton of fun to learn/fly. Landing was a bit of a challenge at first but I had gotten lazy after flying the more modern aircraft. Some practice landings/overhead breaks tightened things up quickly. I recommend the Sabre to anyone who may be on the fence.
  10. You should be getting substantially better FPS. What are your pc specs?
  11. Seeing the recent (absolutely gorgeous) videos released by WAGS.....it looks like many of us are going to need a computer upgrade. I have a 4 year old HP Pavilion with an i7 2600 and a GTX 550 Ti. The motherboard isn't compatible with any of the 700 or higher series GPUs. EDGE is going to cost me some serious cash.

  13. Take the base apart and check the black O-ring. After some 9 months or so they become very pliable and tend to stretch. One of the sides may have popped out. If that is the issue, you can get a replacement from Thrustmaster or a teflon ring from one of the DCS forum members: HEMPSTEAD.
  14. Has a poll ever been taken regarding this question? I can't imagine who wouldn't buy it. Falcon, as successful as it was/is, is graphically outdated. How many people fly the F15C only wishing that the sim had the same fidelity as the A10C or any of the other recent releases? A Western/NATO, SEAD capable aircraft is needed in this sim environment. It doesn't seem like the F18 release is near.
  15. It looks like one of your mods is interfering......
  16. This thread isn't about managing the aircraft systems of the F15. That's obviously not a factor in a FC3 aircraft. BVR engagement is not easy to master....AT ALL. Like other things, the more you learn about it, the more you realize how much you don't know. Go up against these guys like BLAZE and STUGE and many other veterans.......you will see my point very quickly as you spin into the ground. I suggest you jump on the 104 Phoenix server, Air to Air. Make sure there are plenty of guys from the 104th that are flying......let me know how you make out. You may want to make sure there are no children in the room....there will be some cursing..... :))
  17. I am trying to create a simple practice mission where once the first enemy aircraft is shot down, a second will activate. I've set the trigger as follows: TYPE: ONCE ON DESTROY CONDITION: GROUP DEAD (Dead group is selected in drop down) ACTION: GROUP ACTIVATE (Name of New Group Selected in drop down) The new group is not activating........ I know this is a simple issue for you guys. Thanks.
  18. You may find a Europe based squad/group here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34062 http://www.rafairuk.co.uk/

  20. Maybe this is an obvious question, but did you say, "Please?" AI pilots are notoriously polite to the ground crew. It's been my experience that the AI really take care of each other and respond well to courtesy. I don't want to sound racist here, but I can't tell the AI apart.....they all look alike to me.

  22. You need to maintain the lock until the missile goes active ("Pitbull"). There is an indication in the lower left of your HUD that will indicate when the missile goes active.
  23. Thank-you, Blaze. A great deal of information in a clear, concise and easy to understand format. It's much appreciated.
