You might want to post this in the NS 430 Bugs and Problems section. I have a somewhat related issue. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195134&highlight=chic

Would be careful with regards to SLI predictions. Unlike promised, SLI performance with EDGE is hit or miss for many of us. Right now I'm running much better with a single 980ti than SLI. And yes, I've been trying different graphic profiles for years. I remain ever hopeful.

Yah, maybe you missed page 182 of the Fl Manual.

Options -> Controls -> Modifiers -> Switches
Chic replied to Captain Orso's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Good work around. Keep in mind, you can use Condition Blocks in VA to allow your Switch Command to know the status of the overlay. In other words, if the Switch is inactive (no overlay), the Switch command will activate the Switch mode and put up the overlay. The next time you toggle off your switch, the overlay will disappear as well. This will allow identification of multiple switches (using audio feedback). I know from experience that overlays that will work for you are few. Less immersive as well. I tried using sticky notes at one point. No joy. -

Does your DCS window lose "focus" when the overlay is up. -
Furia (post 64) here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1721244 says composites. Very reliable. Also see DCS Huey Fl Manual, page 10.

If you activate multiple Switches then you will hear multiple switch sound notifications. The audio playback reminds you to turn the switch off. Not sure why you would need multiple Switches activated simultaneously though. My profile has 6 Switches. Attached is the profile. My sound files are too large to upload. You will need to modify the profile to fit your rig. "Quick guide" is frankly not practical. You'll need some basic understanding of VoiceAttack. You will need to map your own buttons to the switches, and reprogram the "play a Sound" commands. Happy to take specific questions. Switch Profile-Profile.rar -
This issue was reported on this forum recently. Can't remember which thread or the resolution. Will look around some. EDIT: Found this but not sure if it deals with your issue. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=194765

Okay, my latest switch fix is this. Using VoiceAttack conditional blocks and homemade sound files, I now get an audio message every four seconds telling me which switch is active. Sound notices stop when switch is deactivated. Should work fine in VR. -

The gauges are rotated so that the clockface orientation of the normal operating range of each gauge coincide. This allows the pilot to assess with a quick glance. -
BRD-DS ‘Raven’ Review - The Man & The Machine
Chic replied to Fubarbrickdust's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My new BRD-N cyclic base has been just sitting on shelf for months as I wait for my MCG-Pro grip to arrive. KILLING ME!!!! While I'm waiting, I've changed out the springs to suit me. I'm thinking about modifying the rubber boot cover but don't want to touch it without a back up. Baur, is it possible to obtain a replacement boot? EDIT: Thanks for the Support Baur. -
Thanks again for Mi8 door gunner

To delete a kneeboard; Click "Create Custom Kneeboard" > "Select Aircraft" > delete the "Available Groups" items one at a time.
-
If I understand your issue correctly, the kneeboard is "installed" into an aircraft, NOT a mission. Your aircraft will have that kneeboard on board everywhere you go.

A motor may need a little lube or just some break in time. Let it go awhile, will likely work itself out. Enjoy this great adjunct to your sim. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3296571#post3296571

Worked out great. Critically important to my sim experience. I'm truly grateful for your responsiveness and your time.

No link to the "external indicators". Comm/Nav not modelled currently. GPS Nav working.
-
My Man! I'll test it tonight.

Snacko, that rendition puts the Radio Comm and Mission texts in good position but the font sizes are not appreciably larger. I tweaked the Radio Comm fonts to optimal size for my setup but I don't know where or how the Mission Message Font sizes are changed.
-
This is what I got currently. The mission text would be showing higher up in the right corner if the radio comm menu wasn't showing at same time. Having the mission text centered would be ideal but this current location is ok if cant be easily changed. Getting the mission font enlarged is the priority.

I could combine the mods no prob. The reason why i have not is that it makes makes it more difficult to trouble shoot after updates. I think if I had your mod converted to single monitor, i would be ok.
-
I run a 65" curved 4k monitor. These old eyes struggle with the Radio Comms and Mission Texts. I've been using an old multiply patched mod that center tops and enlarges the radio menu. I've managed to keep that one working. I also run the Chat Enhancer/Text Enlarger Mod (just the Text Enlarger component) to enlarge the mission texts that appear on the upper right corner. That one has been borked by recent updates, just as described by AuntyStatic in post #5. It can probably be fixed with your most recent update. Sorry to say, I have not been able to sort it out, nor have I been able to convert your mod to single monitor. Bottom line is that I'm happy with larger fonts in the aforementioned config (although center top Mission Texts as well would be even better). Being able to consolidate with just one mod would be awesome. I'm not looking for a customized mod but would truly appreciate a tweakable Fixer-Upper. Thanks again for any advice.
-
Snacko, I wouldn't ask if I didn't already spend hours trying to do it myself, but is there any chance this mod could be tailored for single monitor? In any event, thanks for what you have already provided.
