  1. Has anyone come across this issue yet? I cannot start DCS World because of this error message. I check my applications running list and I do not see this in the list. The Multiplayer seems to start fine but not the single player sim. Any ideas? "Another Updater Instance is Running" error message. Log: 00000.000 INFO : === MiniLog opened UTC 2012-10-15 00:20:58 00001.000 ERROR : Caught an exception: Another updater instance is running. 00025.022 INFO : === MiniLog closed.
  2. Can someone clue me in on the setting in Max for creating glass. Is there a specific texture I should be using? I just cannot get it to show up clear in sim. Thanks, Racer
  3. I have per your video. I froze the vid and looked closely at how you had your config layed out. Still did not seem to work.
  4. I am having a heck of a time getting the Assembler to function correctly. When I run the .bat file I just get a quick flash of the command window and off it goes. It does not appear to be working for me. I have all of the files that it comes with in the zip file placed in my \stable directory in Flaming Cliffs 2. And suggestions guys??

  6. Yet another bug I came across while doing the CT-114 Tutor cockpit for the VSB mod. I solved this disappearing textures by creating a small part and applying a glass texture with the Lomutils. This was the very last item I created before exporting the .LOM Once I did that the parts no longer disappeared. Go figure... Racer

  8. Great job so far guy's. I know what kind of work goes into these and you are to be commended for your dedication and determination to get that pit working correctly. "I don't understand why all team who have a virtual pit don't make it public" I don't know everyone Pougatchev. Last I checked the VSB have made our duel cockpit mod public. It is our first generation version mind you but it works. http://www.virtualsnowbirds.com/downloads/ Please don't fault anyone from making the cockpits public. There is a HUGE amount of time that goes into creating one of these things and some may not what them out either before they are just perfect (which they never are lol) or they flat out do not want to give them away. As far as I can remember I have not read that anything posted in this forum had to be free.
  9. I have read that the land Hi Res 3D Max template is set up to be 40 sq KM in size (16 10km squares). I have also read that as far as elevation goes, using 75000 in the displace modifier is really simply just what looks correct as far as elevations go in the simulation. No issues here as we all deal with these "Lockonisms" when modding this Sim. What I am having a slight issue with as far as size goes is with the Anapa Airfield wiki supplied model as it fits onto the Hi res land template. What I am finding is that when this airfield example is merged into the template it appears that the airfield runway is around 4km long. Clearly this is way to long as compared to reality. The issue in trying to create and accurate scenery around the airfield I am trying to create is difficult as the airfield is way to large sitting on the template. Is this just another "that's the way it is" and just move on? Or, am I missing something here. Racer
  10. Can anyone lend me some insight into how the mirrors can be created in the cockpit? Try and try as I might I just cannot get them to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Well, it is the cockpit (kabina lom) textures which shift or disappear (maybe 1/4 of them) when the a-10 lom model lowers the arg 38 canopy. It happens right away as soon as the canopy starts to lower. I have not assigned any textures to the cockpit model from the lomutils. The only lomutil texture assigned was to the a-10 lom for the glass. I killed that but the problem still remains.
  12. I have an issue that some of you cockpit modelers may have come across. It seems that when I active the canopy on the aircraft arg 38, as soon as it starts to close I am having a number of cockpit textures shifting position. Raise the canopy back up and right at the top of the retraction they all pop back into place. The cockpit is scratch made and does not have any connection to the aircraft model at all. The cockpit does not even have arg38 on any piece either. Any thoughts to this perplexing issue?

  15. I am looking for a bit of help on this one. As everyone knows you can cycle through the airports with the F-11 view. When in this view at an airport you can move the view around to the spot you wish to view from. Then, if you cycle through all of the F-11 views when you get to the airport you moved the F-11 view on it will be at the last place you moved it to. However you lose this placement when you leave the sim. My question is there a way to save these change in placements of the F-11 views. Is there a set of coordinates in a .LUA file somewhere for the F-11 views which places them in the sim like the F-4 placement? Thanks, Tom

  17. Has anyone been able to get the LOM export in Max 8 to work properly in Windows 7? Is there a plugin update out there?

  19. The plan right now is to cut her loose with the other VFAT mods in December.
  20. Is it flyable?? heck ya. It is a repaint of my Virtual Golden Hawks sabre. I have it over the A-10 flight model.
  21. I take it this is the end result you are trying to get to. :thumbup: All ready for the VFAT Heritage Flight.
  22. Plus, we are still working on a higher count carrier vs. a separate lower count one for lower end machines. Looks for these releases around VFAT .:)
  23. They are extended in the model being used. This was a shot very early on.
