You mean Ponies aren't supposed to absorb 20mm HE's in the tail?
-
I'd say it's more a question of adjustment. The Dora and Pony definitely are more open to spraying, higher AoA and firing from longer distance. The Mk 108 is low velocity and the 109 carries a rather low amount of shells, but the cannon is also extremely powerful and has a relatively fast rate of fire. In most cases it's one hit to severely cripple or destroy a single-engine fighter, especially since the belts mostly consisted of mineshells.

Thanks! Kurfürst next!

Thank you. Last one for now.

Mineshell is uniquely manufactured with a pressed, thin shell covering the explosive, unlike the traditional way of drilling a hole into a whole shell and applying filler there. More boom with mineshells. But I'm just assuming the HEI-T shell is the latter. Thanks, the tracer thing is indeed weird.

Devs don't have any input on this?

Out!

Edit from top row - Add aircraft Click anywhere - Choose plane from Type dropmenu and country as Germany from menu and assign Skill dropmenu as Player Now you should have access to Payload tab and paint schemes

Replied again. It depends on how you're trying to use it. I don't think it's possible to change skins in Instant Action mode.

Like Germany isn't made up of several regions each thinking they're speaking proper German with their respective dialect... :music_whistling:

Yes, but actually I started WT in Arcade, moved to HB and from there to FRB/SB only, but even then it was mostly tanks until the direction of the game got to the point I just quit it completely. Never had a problem with spotting in any games I've played though, be it WT, CloD/BoS or DCS. I know making fun of the Pony was the norm in WT, but here? Haven't seen any of it. We can have a normal conversation any day.

Hated? More of a kneejerk response and a sarcastic joke to the hype and praise the Pony gets in mainstream media. As for a favourite, I have to choose the 262. Gorgeous, predatory design combined with a deathray of grenades with an additional a hail of rockets. Interested to see how much of challenge it is to maintain in the air and how dogfights will turn out.

Well, you might be able to bake a new template for any plane if you have access to the 3D model and meshes. But with a preexisting texture file, you have to remain within the dimension (Or aspect ratio) set.
-
Going from 2048x1024 to 4096x2048 does not increase detail? This is exactly how textures work, higher resolution has more pixel available to enhance detail. You can't change dimensions without the game failing to read what is assigned to the 3D model. Is your texture quality set to high ingame? This is so the game itself won't compress and lower the resolution of textures.
-
I highly doubt resolution itself matters, except for skin quality and performance/File size. As long as the proportions of the template stay the same (Like the example above 2048x1024 is 2:1) I see now reason why it wouldn't work at 4096x2048 or 1024x512.

I replied to your PM and updated installation instructions.

I remember someone asking about the R4M rockets for the Dora, though I can't remember whether their inclusion was confirmed or not. Can any devs shed light on this? Did the Dora also support the 21cm WrGr? But my main questions regard the ammo for MG151's/131's. What rounds do the current belts consist of? I know the MG151 has atleast the Mineshell and an AP shell, and MG131 also having some HE and AP rounds. Are there any plans for other belts or maybe even customization? From what I know, tracerless setups were quite common, atleast for 109's, but that must come down to pilot preference. Which leads us to tracer colour. The current tracers are extremely saturated and bright, not to mention the colours that seem odd. My knowledge is that the MG131 only had a weakly red tracer, while the MG151 tracer was white/weakly yellow, though I have heard of special tracer rounds for nightfighters.
