For me, the ping on Burning Skies server is actually worse than DoW server, even though it is atleast 6000km closer. Oh well.

illumination for flaps and landing gear switches
JST replied to LcSummers's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
They are always illuminated for me with power on. You sure you didn't miss some circuit breaker? Or perhaps you flew through some flak trucks, stopped working for me after that, too. :D E: Unless you mean the buttons themselves, NOT the indicators. The buttons were never illuminated for me. -
Hmph, I think not only requiring high stress, it is probably randomized as well. Once, engine on my Dora died 2 minutes after takeoff, full power with MW50. Although there have been dozens of similar situations.
-
Did updating the module screw up the keybindings for you? Or anyone else for that matter. Sure did for me, even the saved config file was ruined.
-
This is how I do it:
-
Why bother locking the tail wheel? If anything, I find the plane harder to control with it locked.
-
In order to save paint, some late-war planes were left partially without paint on the bottom, just showing the bare aluminum. Not the best pic, but you can still see how they were.
-
That is simply they way I personally do it, any problem you have with that is yours to deal with. If I want to "go historical", I use photographs, anything beyond that is just speculation and open for interpretation. This discussion is just as fruitless as discussing what colour and shade RLM 83 is/was/was supposed to be/never was. You don't know, I don't know and those who knew probably aren't alive anymore. And do not even cover every late-war variant.
-
Yes, from landing thread:
-
I had an extremely hard time with the locked tail wheel/brake method, so I tried a different way some people here mentioned. No locked tail wheel, stick in the middle and only use rudder the keep her straight. Ridiculously easy and always works.
-
Thanks! If you mean heavier weathering, I don't like that style, unless I have a reason to do so, such as making a skin from a photographed, heavily worn-out plane. For now, you'll have to do with the more minimal wear.

Second camo is not out! Included a version without swastika as well. http://www.mediafire.com/download/68d3x1ce3xidn53/Tropical.zip

Will have to check this one out, I'm from Northern Europe and ping on the DoW server is nasty, 150-200ms. Should be about 50ms to any Western Russia server. DoW server already has good traffic, although I can't see how this would be a problem in the first place. Is there something fundamentally wrong with the Ez 42? I doubt I'm the only one who uses the gunsight just for a general idea where the guns are pointing, and rely on tracers beyond that. Yeah, I'm no marksman, but it definitely helps to try the best to avoid angles where the target is no longer visible.

Definitely.

First skin is out now and the second will also be available soon.

First skin released!

Glad you like it. Also available on user files section: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/837650/

So the exact same scheme? :D Thanks!
-
Roadrunner asked, and I will do my part. These skins will have no historical relevance, other than being inspired by 109's in North Africa. First is a standard two-colour Afrika scheme with additional white markings, the second will be the same two colours and added green camo. Two-colour scheme released!
