Windows 7 8370 4.4, 16GB ram, AMD 280x, m5a99x evo BitDefender

Tried to use web installer, and when it's starting just opens two windows. Other window says: Updating myself and the other one Initializing, then it just stays there, also it locks up Windows, I can't even open task manager to end the process. So what's wrong?

I don't have .trks - was just normal mission I made, couple of waypoints, couple enemy fighters nothing special. Has happened many times, last time I flew, I was flying about 1km above enemy without radar only IR and locked enemy and waited for LA - well what happened, enemy spotted me (how?!) and here we go again, I got hit when his AIM-9 was 2.5kms away from me, I was using (5) helmet lock and saw missile with labels at 2.5kms away and boom. What worries me, that game appear to be badly broken.

Enemy missiles are hitting me when they are 2.5km - 3 km away, checked with labels on. Sometimes can't lock enemy planes, don't show on radar, even when they are directly in front of me (not ECM thing), they just disappear from hud. None of missiles ranges are right. Looks like all missiles have the same range. Isn't 73s range 30 km in rl? Anyone seen similar behaviour?

Edit: I took screenshots in game mode, when in normal mode it shows the blur. So it's a bug.

I did save them as separate profile.... Well, so I need like 4 different profiles for one plane? I try that then, but still - one would think that "save profile" saves all your current controls.

Yes I saved them in separate folder and replaced them after reinstalling, that's what I'm trying to say, you can't easily restore joystick controls, because in every DCS install it creates .lua file with different name. For example my joystick settings are in: Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {ABDC1180-AECA-11e3-8001-444553540000} (my backup) and when install game joystick settings are in: Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {F2AA1FD0-BA37-11e3-8001-444553540000}.lua so good luck replacing? Why isn't the name "joystick.lua" . like keyboard .lua? Anyway I will now transfer my configs and rename them as these newly created configs to get it to work. Very non necessary hassle.

Can you please fix the control options, again all my joystick, throttle, pedal settings were gone after reinstalling the game. I had even saved them in separate file, loaded it and result was keyboard bindings in joystick slots and so on. So it's totally messed up. I really don't wanna go through control assigning every time something changes in game. And if there is "save" and "load buttons".. well why? They don't even work.

Yes it works. I Don't have line "GUI-channels = presets", not did I add it. I just put: presets = {} presets[1] = 120000000.0 presets[2] = 121000000.0 presets[3] = 122000000.0 presets[4] = 123000000.0 presets[5] = 124000000.0 presets[6] = 125000000.0 presets[7] = 126000000.0 presets[8] = 127000000.0 presets[19] = 128000000.0 presets[10] = 129000000.0 presets[11] = 130000000.0 presets[12] = 131000000.0 presets[13] = 132000000.0 presets[14] = 133000000.0 presets[15] = 134000000.0 presets[16] = 135000000.0 presets[17] = 136000000.0 presets[18] = 137000000.0 presets[19] = 138000000.0 presets[20] = 127500000.0 to the very end of the R_863.lua file.

Ok, thank you for your help, I took Mi-8MT line from the server.lua and now it's all good. I couldn't disable autozoom, but actually I got something else out of this; I changed default views for all pilots, at least to me it's now better. I'm gonna stop fighting with autozoom now, since now I got views where I wanted. If you wanna try these values too: Server.lua (all playerslots) CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,64.574562}, Snapviews.lua player slot 1: viewAngle = 64.574562,--FOV player slot 2: viewAngle = 64.777542,--FOV vAngle = -14.500000, player slot 3: viewAngle = 64.777542,--FOV vAngle = -14.500000,

Ok, editing server.lua could work then, too bad I don't have that file in user files. I have 4 in DCS folder, in 1 of them is that CameraViewAngleLimits line, but there's not config for Mi-8MTV2.

Thank you, but that doesn't help with this. I was actually making snapviews earlier manually, because imo the default view is too low vertically, but that zoom kicked in, so I'm in square 1.

Anyone have any idea how to disable that zoom out effect, when entering cockpit? It's not only annoying, but it also messes up my TIR settings. If there's some file which could be edited or something..

Here's 'cleaned' version of weapon status texts in cockpit. I removed shortcut key texts and the title, goal was to make the texts less intrusive. Also moved the texts to right bottom of the screen. Made this for myself, but maybe someone else finds this useful. Screenshot is in the archive and original DCS file is in same place as the modded file, extractable to revert changes.
