  1. Well, nice to be a part of great community where things get sorted.
  2. She said shes ok .... Actually about the first picture, they landed a plane with other wing 60 and other 20 degrees, so pretty nice flying. Wouldn't wanna try carrier landing in that condition.
  3. Don't worry..
  4. So if I put radar on, and then make 90 degree turn left, radar points to my right at 90 degrees? Or is it just elevation? This gets confusing. Edit: Ok, if you would have said this "...radar is stabilized in reference to the horizon, not your nose." earlier, this thread would be a lot shorter.
  5. Ok, I see that VVI doesn't tell really aoa then, haven't studied these just thought. Anyway when pointing nose to target, what difference does it make what targets altitude is? isn't radar following the nose of the plane unless manipulated otherwise?
  6. This should give you idea of targets alt. Also if you wanna take another look at the pictures, F-16 is scanned with different PRFs with lower altitude at aoa 20, target in the middle of HUD. If the radar is that bad that it can't lock a target in front of the planes nose, so be it.
  7. Then I must have superb radar, heck I can smell the plane. ^^ But fine, if it is the reason I live with that, just feel pity for russian pilots lol I think that answer is the most logical one, since the radar beam isn't very good below nose, well non-existant.
  8. Should have taken .trk, but didn't..
  9. A-10s should be around 6700m MSL - <1500 mountains and F-16 headed my way, I'd say 6000+. hard to say, can't see the my exact aoa to calculate the F16s alt.
  10. VVI should give you a hint, F-16 is right in FRONT of me. if the radar isn't pointing forwards like the HUD says, where is it pointing?
  11. This is pretty much how I see it. A-10s... hmmm, but F-16 is stealth?
  12. Yes, will do - it's not like it's happening all the time. just occasionally gets me wondering whether it's bug free or am I bugged.
  13. Comment about AWACS didn't relate to this issue, I just said reason for using larger display range. And yes, changing display range leaves enemies on HUD in any range if they were there at the beginning. "and trying to pick up a F16 90km away in MED PRF most probably ain't gonna happen" You can probably see that I went through all different modes. Also I scanned earlier a lot with low as far as -8 also left, right etc. and didn't see them. Point is enemies are at my nose, radar is scanning forward +30/-30 is it? It really doesn't pick them up that's what I wonder.
  14. I only have it when I put AWACS, so can see the enemy on display screen to get heading if it's very far away. And well this time.... apparently.
  15. Well, thank you for your opinions - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be disappointed if I bought the MiG. F-14 is must buy for me when it comes, half way thru flight manual atm, eagerly waiting ^^. I've flown A-10C for some 200+ hours, I don't find it too complicated and when I hear it's kinda easy to learn Leathernecks modules, I'm more confident to buy these as well. I understand it's very difficult to compare these 2, when they are and have so different uses.
  16. Actually I think I found the issue here, kinda stupid of me, my display range is too much, they simply don't fit the HUD, if they were say.. 90kms away, then I'd see them at lower half of the HUD. So I should have 20 display range to see them on HUD. Good that I ask the questions, otherwise I'd never answer myself....
  17. Not behind any terrain and you can see the radar zone pointing right forward. Tried with all different scan modes, yet this game keeps doing that every now and then. So I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong afterall.
  18. Why am I not getting any readings with radar? See attached pictures. :joystick:
  19. Oh btw, there's a very good drive-in near Gudauta, you should check it out ^^
  20. Ahh, right well that explains why I don't see a stop sign there.
  21. Nooo, I wouldn't! Besides there's plenty of room below electric wires!
  22. Supercharged Su-27, brakes sound barrier in less than 900km/h and reaches these altitudes too :pilotfly: actually it was 26505m but slow fingers...
  23. Watched some videos from youtube and damn, this really looks gorgeous, the sounds, graphics - Maybe I try sometime, have to ask my wallet.
  24. I understand the cars and traffic and all. But using turning signs with planes in the middle of fight, isn't that just too much asked? :pilotfly: After that we probably start getting speeding tickets too, right? Yes. No I don't have anything better to do atm  Just can't wait for this module, I hope I can learn it too... that would be nice too. Go Leathernecks!
  25. I'm just not sure, how could I handle it. Eagerly waiting F-14 and wondering how are these compared to EDs.
