[FIXED] Drag chute does not get replaced after rearming

Other models doesn’t require repair to replace drag chute. Requires repair on every landing is a bit too much... Although I can live without drag chute, but it would be nice to have rearming also replace chute. -
Hi, I don’t know it is a bug or a feature. But you can fire weapons on the ground if you first go to ACM mode then switch weapons. I only tested guns, PL5 and SD10.

Hi, when you panic you are panic. Please make it bindable to keyboard and joysticks so I can hold on that key when I’m in panic.

If you put radar display on the center(low) MFD, and you move TDC up after radar display automatically changed to max range. The TDC will go over the top and shows on HUD.

Hi, if you use drag chute during landing, it won’t get replaced after rearming.

Can we kickstart F14D or other project from HB? For highly reputable developers as HB, I have no trouble funding the project before early access.

I mean the current implementation by ED or the proposed possible future implemented in this thread are all too simple to be efficient. If you look into the code of current AIM7M/MH lofting logic: It only looks at the distance between you and the target. If it is longer than about 5NM, then aim7 flys initially flys at the required angle plus 30 degree up for four seconds. Then resume on an intercepting course to the target. I would say a six grader can write a better algorithm than that. If the real missiles engineers do something like that then he should be tied on the missile and fired. At least one should consider the time of impact and also the lofting trajectory should be optimized as well. You are not shooting 1 dollar 556 bullet after all. The cost of one missile should be enough to at least hire a college graduate to work on the optimization problem. That is basically why many others and I think the current lofting mechanism of AIM7 on F15 is a bug. The missile will work much better if this kind of lofting behavior is disabled.

I think minimizing time to impact is much more important than increase Rmax. IRL the algorithm cannot be this ridiculously simple as only involves middles school mathematics... Calculus is a must here to solve the optimization problem for either Rmax or time to impact. Of course, only very basic Calculus is involved here...

You also need to consider Fox1 only setting where features only sparrow vs R27 and 530D. I rarely bring any chaff with me as I mainly practiced against other AIM7s within squadron. but thanks to your thread you made me realized that chaff can be very useful also in fox1 settings.

Hi, thank you very much for your answer. It might not be a bug for F-15. But if many really experienced DCS pilot say it is broken on F-15, then it might need a review. As far as I can see the potential fix for the broken AIM7M/AIM7MH on F15 can be as simple as changing two numbers in one txt file in the game client. Of course I fully respect the ED team's professional spirit in making things perfect. Finding a much more sophisticated way to improve the missile behavior. Please take your time. We will be patiently waiting. But as I said, I see many familiar names of quite experience players in all the posts that I can find regarding to this lofting issue on F-15. Let's not call it a bug, it might just be something that worth look into. :) Many thanks!

I'm 100% sure AIM7 as today, has exactly the same behavior as you described in your tacview.

Hi, as far as I understand, unlike AIM7 or AIM120, AIM9 should launch without any significant delay when you press weapon release button. Now it requires a long delay to fire AIM9. Can we fix it so AIM9 can fire immediately?

Same thing goes for AIM7 since the beginning. And after the latest update. AIM7 are too easily chaffed to a point that they are not useful any more.

Sorry, I just found out, in the gun mode, the diamond is not supposed to move.... But I appreciate if some one can answer the second question. Thanks!

Hi, when guns are selected the diamond is not moving in what ever ACM lock mode. (PAL Hi/Lo) Is that a bug or a feature? And sometimes there's a lead cue (T) on the HUD when missiles are selected and STT locked a target, but most of the time the lead cue only shows on VDI. Is there a bug or is there anything I need to do to display the lead cue on hud in AA mode? Thanks!
