  1. Wow, you can turn it off now in the options, thank you so much! I didn't notice that.
  2. Can you also comment a little on the STT thread? Thanks!
  3. Because your RWR also received the SAM guidance signal that was aimed at your AI wingman. That is how RWR works. There's no way for it to tell whether the SAM was locking you or another plane near you or in the general direction. As long as it receives a signal, it will give you a warning.
  4. If HB can make a F-14D for us, I would like to pay for it same amount of money as I paid for F-14A/B
  5. Hi, I wish to know whether this is true in real F-14B radar system or this is a small bug. Switching between P-STT and PD-STT cause loss of track when bearing of the target is greater than about 30 degrees. It is very annoying because it keeps you away from ideal cranking angel. Also, why does Jester have to switch to P-STT within 10 NM?
  6. If the F-15E will be made by HB then I know for sure that my dream DCS mod will be in good hand. However, if Razbam is going to make it, then I'm not sure it will be my favourite DCS aircraft...
  7. Can anyone say something about this? When you have a PD-STT lock and when you switch to P-STT. The HUD will flash and the time when the HUD goes off and back on seems depends on the angular distance between you and the target. The higher the angle the longer the flash. And if the angle is too high (~>30 degrees), although it is still well with in the gimbal limit of the radar, you will lose STT. As if when you switch between PD-STT and STT, the radar first reset to the centre and then slew to the target again... Is this how it works on the real F-14 or it is a little bug?
  8. I fully agree. The drop tanks menu should go away. And show bvr radar menu instead. Actually the drop tanks menu should not even pop up in the first place. I don't mind press a few more buttons to drop tanks. But, when I see a radar contact on TID with in 15 miles. I want jester to lock on it asap. Better with a direct key bind to my HOTAS.
  9. Dear HB developers, I might notices a possible bug. When you ask Jester to program flare through Jester menu, he seems does nothing. And the flare program is unchanged. Could you please take a look, thank you!
  10. Dear HB developers, There might be a possible bug when you switch between STT modes. At least when Jester switch between radar modes. If you have a target in PD-STT and you crank to either left or right over about 30 degrees. Then when you switch to P-STT or Jester automatically switch to P-STT when the target is about entering 10 miles range. The lock will break. But if you put the target within ~30 degree cone in front the lock can be maintained. I guess this might be a bug. As the switching between P-STT and PD-STT should not cause radar antenna to turn to the center. Could you please look into this. Thanks!

    F-15E?

This is my most anticipated aircraft in DCS. Any news on this project?
  12. Thank you for your track. I wouldn't even bother to make a track or video for those people baby-crying hard "no" and "close the thread" or even a blatant 'shit'. They don't have any basic respect to other people so they are deserved to be treated as animals and completely ignored. At least they are so ignorant to this game thus should not be considered experienced enough to provide any useful feedback. I would not like to close the thread. I created this thread not to advocate this is something to do in real life. There is usually a difference in real life between something that is possible and something that is safe to do. I only wish to ask the developer of this difference in behavior of 120s on F18 and 120s in F15 in DCS, the game. Which one is good which one is wrong? Could the developers please fix the wrong one. Thank you so much! We should of course be able to do whatever is possible to do in a game. We are not going to risk anyone's life if we mass up.
  13. Exactly. I agree with you. But still this is the developers’ game. Since both FC3 F15 and F18 are made by ED. And there is this inconsistency in behaviors. I would like to ask them to fix the bug. It requires some gut, timing and positioning to intercept an incoming aim54 anyway. I wouldn’t against any game mechanism that requires skills.
  14. When the RCS of the enemy fighter is smaller than the incoming missile You stt the target so the missile goes to the enemy fighters. I don’t want to digress anymore. But your question got my interest. Have you ever fight in a situation that a friendly is turning with a bandit and you want to help out. Why your missiles goes to the bandit instead of your friend...
  15. The system you mentioned are all older than ARMAAM. And there is little value to compare game mechanism with RL. And you didn't provide any evidence regarding ARMAAM at all. I would like to reiterate: AIM120s on F15 behaves differently than then same AIM120s on F18. They cannot be both correct. I hope the dev team can look into it. I accept any game rule the developers want for their game. And there is little added value if we continue the discussion of real life weapon system newer than 80s. Everything should be deviated from modern RL counterpart intentionally for very good reasons.
  16. I totally agree with you I didn't have to mention about OP thing at all. It was ridiculous. Let's set the OP BS aside. And focus on resolving different behaviors of the same ARMAAMs on F15 and F18.
  17. No, nothing I can tell you about it. You can find them yourself, outside of this forum and outside of this game, if you are really dying to know.
  18. No, the rule is there for a very good reason. Please at least show you respect to the admin team. Please keep your mind open. Before saying some thing is impossible, use your knowledge of physics and other sciences. It is quite possible. I didn't say it definitely can do this in the real world. But of course not a hard-no or impossible. DCS game mechanism, as see on F18 and some SAM systems, is allowing this. F15 using the same missile should have same behavior as the ones on F18 in the game. And please don't say obvious and non-relevant things such as: game missiles are different from real life. Lets focus only on the game. Please don't repeat any question outside this bug report. The behavior of ARMAAM on F15 is different than ARMAAM on F18. And that is something that I want to notify the dev team. And they will decide what to do to their game.
  19. I really want to hear from members of the dev team.
  20. Because the launcher aircraft cranked after launch, you can do a little cranking at the same direction and put the missile to the side. So there will only be the incoming missile in the FOV of the ARMAAM when you launch it. Also the missile is much closer to you than the aircraft. Thus it may have a larger RCS. I'm talking about the game mechanism, not in the real world. In DCS su27 can receive D/L from E3, I don't think it should be possible in real world, so let's focus only on the game. It is a game after all. Talking about real world is against rule 1.16. Please stop asking for that information or using it as an argument. As long as it is possible, there is no reason to say a hard no... I hope you understand what I mean. No offense.
  21. You should provide evidence... Not me. Because you said something definite, I left everything open. And according to rule 1.16, neither of us can do it. So please be constructive. And stop say hard no without evidence. It is quite reasonable for a modern A2A missile design. Even old SAMs can detect and intercept incoming Anti radiation missiles. We have reason to assume this is possible, not the other way...
  22. Please provide hard evidence before saying a definite "nope ... the end". And a missile coming at you at mach 1.5 at 5NM range allows ARMAAM more than enough time to react. BTW, I'm talking about intercepting incoming missiles that has been fired at 15NM distance. This does not work when the launcher aircraft is also close by, because: 1. missile is coming at you too fast, 2. ARMAAM will 100% go to the launcher aircraft because it has a bigger reflection.
  23. It is said that you are talking it all out of your mind and without proper thinking. Same for you: I hope, "you realize there is a significant difference in AIM54(late 60s tech) and ARMAAM(late 90s tech)." I hope you have evidence showing that ARMAAM cannot detect and track RCS of a midium range A2A missile.
  24. If you have DCS F18, you can try aim120 on it, within 5NM and head on, PK for AIM54, AIM7, AIM120, R77, R27, BUK, KUB should be 100%.
