  1. So is the current F-15 on Flaming Cliffs 3 at the same realistic flight model of the a-10c and other modules?
  2. Same here. Gonna hold off and see how Edge works out before buying anything. However - being the fool I am, I didn't realize that changing my Sata to AHCI instead of IDE makes a massive difference in FPS. My FPS probably doubled as a result. So I might be good to go without any update.
  3. Looks freaking awesome. I'll be buying it first day. After you guys take a much needed vacation - Can't wait to hear about your next product. This looks brilliant.
  4. I second that. With its crazy low stall rate, it would be really interesting to fly. Maybe have some missions where you sneak in low under radar dropping off spec ops guys. The AN-2 has been so mass produced, they must be in abundance in Europe.
  5. L-39 is actually almost completed and will be available soon. C-47/DC-3 is a great idea. Maybe see a Vietnam era spooky and also the civilian version of the standard DC-3.
  6. It would be great if some of the companies or people making the really high-quality Civilian stuff for FSX/X-Plane would jump on board with DCS. Not only would a lot of DCS fans love to fly commercial aircraft but I think this would pull in a lot of new customers who prefer non-combat flying. Hell - I'd love to have something simple like a basic single engine Cessna. Anything is fun and challenging when it's at the high-fidelity detail that DCS puts out. The necessary information would also be extremely available since we're not dealing with highly classified military equipment. I'm not suggesting DCS put a ton of their own resources into this but I would think there are a lot of options for 3rd party developers to add commercial aircraft to DCS. Really hope this happens eventually.
  7. Spasticatedtoad, I'm in the same boat. Looking to buy a new CPU and Motherboard. It would be great if you can post what you end up buying and what kind of FPS and performance you see on DCS. Thanks!
  8. Thanks, I'll check them out.
  9. Thanks for the help guys. I think I figured out the problem. Now I pull all the way back on cyclic, do a force trim. And I can bring the nose up and glide it down. Without doing the force trim, I wasn't able to lift my nose at all once dropping collective. Now I just have to work on the flair.
  10. I've just started messing with autorotations. Once throttle is totally cut - should I immediately push collective 100 percent down? Or should I just decrease collective but not all the way?
  11. Damn - nice work Batou. Any chance of doing a Vietnam map in the future after this project?
  12. I'd buy it. Then again I'd buy anything DCS puts out as long as it maintains the high-fidelity standards of the other mods. However - I think most would agree that there are so many more interesting aircraft to work on than the su-22.
  13. I'd love to see DCS make civilian planes. Either smaller prop or airliners would be great. As a few others pointed out - main issue I see is the lack of scenery. It would be pretty lame flying a 737 only in the crimea. We'd really need a good chunk of European map (or elsewhere) to utilize airliners. But it would be awesome going through the real procedures of a big airliner. One day perhaps.
  14. OH-6 "Loach" (perfect for Vietnam) Its modern day cousin - MH-6 "Little Bird" These choppers would be a blast to fly as they are tiny and very agile. As for fixed wing - I also think the F-4 Phantom would be awesome.
  15. Been dreaming of a realistic Vietnam Era sim for as long as I can remember. It would be amazing to fly this super realistic Huey in a beautiful Vietnam terrain. The challenges would be endless. Tough landings on tiny LZs, bad weather flying in mountainous terrain, medevac, close air support.... From what I understand - the Cobra is already being made. If they added the "Loach" - a dedicated Vietnam terrain/campaign would really be worth doing! Then you have the Mig-21 being made F-86, etc.... I doubt it will ever happen but damn it would be so amazing.
