Okay I have a problem in Steam.
I bought DCS A10-C from Steam not DCS World, and when I right click, as above, the drop down is different. No View CD Key??
Technically it's possible to put a 20MW laser on a satellite but costs are restrictive. And EMP weapon on a satellite could also be used too great effect.
Okay, and I can redeem the Product/CD Key for my Steam purchased A-10C by following this:
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113587
And then download that from the DCS site instead of Steam if I want?
So am I right in thinking I simply:
1. Go to the DCS site and login.
2. View Profile & click on game Details.
3. Get 26 digit Product Key (+ 4 dashes), e.g. XX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX.
4. Download module again, enter product key too activate.
Do I need any other keys to activate.
I did but I can't remember any details of my login. I've contacted eagle. Hopefully there's a way of tracing it. If not, looks like I'll be buying them again.
I least in a week my computer will no longer slow down when watching cluster bombs.;)
New spec on order:
i5-6600K
ASUS Pro Gaming MB
16 GB Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, 2666MHz
EVGA GTX 980 Ti 6GB GDDR5
Sound Blaster ZxR 5.1
Samsung 850 EVO SSD 512GB
24xDVD R/W
Acer Predator XB281HK
I currently have DCS World, FC3, A-10C and Ka-50. My hard drive just took a dump and I'm now scrambling for a new PC. What is the score as regards re-downloading them? I only had my work stuff backed up.
Agreed, if you think the F-35 is too expensive, go develop your own 5th gen and see how much it costs. My bet is near twice as much. There are really many options TBH. F-18 to replace F-18 just raises the obvious question of, "why bother?"
I think the issue with the F-35 only having one engine is blown out of proportion too. That was a major factor in aircraft survival 50 years ago but today it makes very little difference. As regards speed, once you actually add operational payloads, the F-35 comes out close to the Eurocanards, probably a lot better than Gripen in fact. I think some guy in parliament has honestly got a bee in his bonnet on an issue and chucked the F-35 and then asked for straw from gold.
Because you'd be looking at >$200m per aircraft, probably more and it would take at least 15 years, by which time the F/A-XX will be out. As for Mach 3 capable skin and stealth, good luck with that, make it $400m per aircraft.
Assuming he meant Mach 2 and not Mach 3, the EF is the only aircraft that fits that bill unless they're going to buy Russian. Gripen only has one engine and Rafale can't do Mach 2.
