I absolutely love the dicision made by HB to let us decide when to switch WP. Tomcat is no automatic toy, even with jester it is good handwork :)

Do we already know what jesters abilitys with Lantirn will be? Cant wait for him fiddling around with it.

First used the normal Delan clip, now I just got the Delan Clip Fusion... This thing is wireless and works awesome!

Shame on me... I confused PAL with PLM :doh: No wonder I got no lock... But I still dont get it why my Phoenix missiles didnt track. Is firing in TWS not modelled at this time?

This is the case I was expecting as I first heard of the possibility to fly an DCS aircraft with real people in two seats... Human pilots complaining about the human RIOs and vice versa. This will never work really well online, beside of the few people who know each other. But nontheless it is one of the best developments for DCS since the beginnings IMHO. I hope HB is developing Jester AI much further as it is already awesome - I dont get it why there is so much moaning around here in the forums and also on YouTube about Jesters comments and his work... it is the first time we get an already decent working AI in your backseat inside one of the most iconic jetfighters ever. And this is just Beta! Sorry, but shutup and enjoy it.

Hello! I just did some training with the Phoenix and had the problem that the missiles where not tracking. I was in pilot seat only. I tried to attack 4 TU95 bombers in TWS... had master arm on, in A/A HUD mode, PH selected. The HAFU was blinking and had the sequence numbers right of the targets on the TID. Range was about 50nm. I fired them one for one and they just flew straight into nowhere without any tracking, I rechecked in Tacview, the bombers where not going defensive, they where flying straight. After this I tried to go into Visual Range with Sparrows and Sidewinders. Here I tried to use the Pilot Lockon Mode. On pushing the PLM Button the diamond was not appearing... I expected to see it going left and right. But I only heard the switch sound but nothing on the hud and no lock. The bombers where about 10nm out. Isnt the range of PLM around 15nm? Thanks

Can we use the TCS for designating the target for Computer tgt, or so to say CCRP? If so it would highly increase the ability to hit exact points because of the zoom of TCS. I talk about the pilot seat only here. Thanks!

When you look at the hud symbols, at the lowest dotted line. Behind this there is a faint yellow line on the actual carrier deck. You can align on this line.

I did two testflights, one with 100% RPM and one with 90% RPM in different altitudes. See attachment for the sheet. The numbers are just written down via looking at the gauges and I am aware that they are in no way accurate. But I will trie and see and make it more exact over time. See sheet for conditions for the flights. Maybe it is helpful for other, feel free to use the sheet for whatever you want.

I dont think we could find anything classified that easy in open forums. It was classified in the past.

I think I will trie and do testflights with writing down the numbers.

Unfortunately there is no Performance part in the Natops manual... Couldnt find it via google either. How is Heatblur doing the calcs for programming it? Any source for us?

So, first time lost both engines due to dry tanks :-P Was not aware enough of my fuel levels... This brings me to fuel calc in the cat. What is your source of Performance data for our tomcat? How do you guys do this?

Hello! As the Title says, I have my own checklist in the Kneeboard folder Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Kneeboard/F14 but in the sim they dont show up, I just have the default F14 pages.

Most of fighter aircraft have an enemy equivalent. Like spitfire and dora or F5 and Mig21... Since the Cat has a quite long time of service they may have changed, but what would you say is the main agressor for the tomcat? Especially for the cold war time span?
