Ive had my joystick for two days now.. And Im still searching the web trying to find out how to fly the F15.. All I can do is so far is manuver and fire cannons. The ingame tutorials belongs to the stoneage compared to where were at in terms of graphics and physics. Just a shame IMO. Probably the most dificult thing for a newcomer is whics functions and buttons to map. Theres ''3'' buttons for weapons such as Cannon, Weapon release and Fire weapong.. Still dont know what Weapon release is but Im guessing it is releasing bombs.. how bout rockets.. Do I launch rockets with the Fire Weapons or the release key? Ive managed to get a lock-on on a bandit but never got the rocket to launch. Swaped between different weapons with the D-key as default. :doh: I wont give up though :)

I just got the same thing, launched the F15C campaign and ended up in a Su-27 or something.

Ive searched the forum, youtube for tutorials and other forum sites for help, but Im just lost here! Im having a real hard time setting up my device which is a x55 Rhino. I got how to program it thanks to this guy I need some tips on where to start. I feel like I can only fire cannons, havent got to launch any rockets even with a lock-on on a enemy fighter and toggling trough the different weapons using the default D button on keyboard. If someone please could or would take the time to make a list something like this http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1557538 or just anything to get a dummie like myself started, Im sure I wouldnt be the only one happy enough about it! Maybe the F15C aint what I should start with? I got A10C (which is even more hardcore :)), I got the whole FC3 and p-51 mustang with pre-ordered 109 K-4 but Im really hoping to learn some new jet technology. I also got IL-2 BoS for a starter, so please, I need some help to get started with my modern jet carreer :joystick: AceRevo

It should be easy if you know which buttons to map, and how to map them all where you will need them most.. But for newcomers like us (or me at least) it aint that easy at all.. Ive spent a whole day messing around with it for IL-2 but I ended up fireing up WT instead to start out there as thats the game im most familiar with... I still havent optimized my joystick and to be honest.. I wont come here until ive got either one of them right for IL-2 or WT first! I would like to see someone sharing their bindings to have something to look at and take it from there... I know that most of you wont share your hard working achivements but it would be nice for newcomers like us!

I dont want to fight a f18 with f15 pysics or anything like that, are the unmodded servers populare? I just want the ''real'' deal :) Edit: I dont seem to get any kind of notification when Im beeing quoted.. Where can I see a notification on this?

Got a question bout modding. Is this only a feature to experience offline or are mods allowed online too? Edit: Reading posts above Im not sure if this is a mod or not but my question still remain :)

Ive downloaded DCS World and registered a name here on this forum. Today I bought myself my first plane, preordered the 109k-4. I had to creat a new account on the DCS homepage as it wouldnt reconize my username or email that I got on this forum. Now, my question is.. Is this how it really works? Becouse I am now a bit confused and worried that it may cause some kind of errors or something when this 109 is released.. Im using both same name and email on the DCS home page as with this forum. Thanks for answers.
