hi, When updating DCS world I get the following error: ERROR: Can't move f:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\_downloads\Mods/aircraft/P-51D/bin/p51_protect.exe to f:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods/aircraft/P-51D/bin/p51_protect.exe: (183) Cannot create a file when that file already exists. This is causing update problems How do I fix it? Thanks

Hi guys, I had to reinstall DCS. Now when I launch the L39 albatross the engine cuts to shutdown. Im using the hotas warthog and I set the quadrant correctly but to no effect. On the mirage 2000, the jet departs from its trajectory upon takeoff and becomes totally uncontrollable. What am I missing in the settings?

The solution for flying inverted as long as there is fuel in the tank is a very simple one. A flexible fuel line (the part that goes into the tank) with a heavy clunk at the end. It will always move with gravity (in tandem with whatever fuel there is at any given moment), and this system is used on RC aircraft for time immemorial (my other hobby) and allows for very long inverted flight times. I guess it is not used on full scale aircraft because there is limited use to flying inverted indefinitely as it has no practical use in combat - possibly only in aerobatics

Hi all Need some help with tacview. I have purchased it however when how do I open .trk files? For some reason when I try to open DCS tracks in tacview I get a message that the file is empty. Obviously it needs to be converted into a format that tacview can read however I dont see how to do it. Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

I'd start with FC3 for about 100 hours (su 25t along with the interactive guides) then progress to the p51 followed by either the f86 or MiG 15 then to the MiG 21 (interactive guides are well made for it) for another 200 - 300 hours +. I guess then you would be ready to take on the a-10/blackshark

I'm confused what is the head and tail for the other needle (course needle)? It is very unclear in the tutorial and manual. Also in the ARC mode one has to follow the tail instead of the head??

Actually according to Change Log 1.2.10 Update 1 compressor stall is modelled in the F-86 (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2178959). I just have never had one occur.

Ok so it is possible to actually stall the compressor requiring you to perform a "hot start"?

Hi guys My engine sometimes flames out on the f86 when flying too long inverted and simply restarts when I point the nose down (similarly on the mig 15 bis) On the mig 21 bis the engine flames out if I stay in a steep climb and pull out of it too quickly. However in this case I actually have to use a switch to restart it. My question is that on the f 86 control panel on the right there is a provision to restart the engine in a similar way but I have NEVER had to use it. Does this mean that engine stalls are "simplified" on the f86/mig 15?

Ok I just bought MiG 15 from steam however I cannot activate the game because the starforce dialog box to input the serial code does not pop up! When I use the shift key when clicking on multiplayer the dialog box asks for teh serial key for combined arms (which I have) but not for MiG 15. Restarting steam (or the PC) does not help. Any solutions to this problem would be most helpful! Thanks

Today is the 13th where I live (Singapore) however steam says that it will only be available approximately in 9 hours from now which effectively means it will release on the 14th. I thought steam kept timezones into account when calculating release dates?

Hi guys, According to this youtube video of a f-86 in flight the aircraft has leading edge slats (similar to the fw 190) which the sim version of the f-86 does not have. Scroll to 0:58 seconds you can clearly see it in motion. Can anyone explain why? Is it a different model than what is simulated? Thanks

Interesting article on this whole AIM120c being "nerfed". According to this article it probably is pretty well modeled in DCS (personal conclusion). I don't claim to be an expert however probably neither are those who claim that the aim120 has been nerfed "in game" to appease the red team http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Rus-BVR-AAM.html There is certainly a difference between the missiles however the aircraft are sufficiently equipped to fit in the performance doctrine of the said designers. I guess you can't follow the same BVR tactics in an F15 as you do in a Sukhoi
