  1. I still feel like the RB 04E is a bit to weak if it cant reliably destroy or atleast cripple Frigates with a single hit... In irl terms if it would not outright sink the target it would for certain put it out of action for a long time (with massive damage). So ingame term since disabling a ship does not really matter i feel like if you hit a target it should either Sink instantly or take enough damage to slowly sink (Burn untill it sinks). (Since a Crippled ship would most likely be out of the war either way so in a shorter war it would be as good as a destroyed ship) Against larger ships then Frigates then sure 2 missiles or more. But for something like a Krivak having a single Hit do minimal damage i feel like is not realistic. (Since as already mentioned even if the ship did not sink outright it would most likely cease to be combat worthy for some time) And the RB 04E feels like its underpreforming in general as ive had many instances where i hit Cargo ships with it and they dont die. They take damage and burn for a little bit but they never sink. And i doubt a Cargo ship would easily shrug of a direct hit from a RB 04...

  3. Today its 50 years since the Viggen First Flew ( 8 February 1967). And i find it very pleasing that Leatherneck got the Viggen into the game before that Anniversary date =). Happy 50th to the Viggen the most Magnificent bird that ever flew ^^.
  4. My guess would be is that the Unlimited ammo might come with the Re-arm fix. We will have to wait and see but that would be my guess atleast. And also when it comes to rocket runs you could activating the Single Salvo mode (by moving the Grupp-Enkel selector to enkel) this will give you a single rocket per pod instead of all rockets for each launch.

  6. This seems correct to me. They were known to not be very effective and were said to have almost no effect at low speeds. I mean just look at how small the airbrakes are in relation to the aircraft size/mass. The Viggen is easy enough to slow down as it is, just use the inherent drag of the Delta and canards to slow her down. And the Landing gear can be brought down safely at speeds below 600 and with the Air brake / Flaps out she will slow down quite quickly to landing speeds etc. From what i can find the primary area of use for the Air Brake might have been during formation flying where it was often quicker to adjust the speed to maintain station on the lead aircraft using the air brake then constantly adjusting the throttle. For slowing the aircraft down significantly the fastest way would be to just throttle down and maybe do some slight maneuvering to bleed the speed to below 600 kph and at that point lower the gear.

  8. Though they have stated this is temporary. And they have said they will move to having different Pod types for Single or Mass launches. Which would be fully realistic.
  9. We are getting the AV-8B NA. The AV-8B NA does not have a Radar so no Aim-120s (Aim-9s only for Self defence) though they have stated they might do a AV-8B+ later on. (Which had the APG-65 radar from the F-18A and would be Aim-120 Capable). It should be TGP capable though (though don't know if they have officially announced if it will release with a targeting pod or not).
  10. RB 75 and AKAN pods should work. Atleast it does for me. RB 75+Akan and RB 05+ Akan are the only two Air-Ground mixes that are valid loadouts..
  11. Are you sure the Nav computer has the right starting airfield and Starting runway set? Do you have a NAV SYS warning while you have this problem?.
  12. I think 0 drift just means that drift is less then 1 Km. does not mean there has been no drift.
  13. Yea its a known Re-arm bug. But RagnarDa has stated its been fixed internally so hopefully it will be included in the next update.
  14. Yea switching the Grupp/Enkel selector to Enkel will give you one rocket per pod at a time and in group it will be All rockets at once as is standard.
  15. Only possible air-ground mixes are the RB 05+Gunpod combo and RB 75 + Gunpod Combo. All weapons can ofc be mixed with Aim-9s and Chaff/Flare+ECM pods but those two are the only Air-ground mixes that are Valid.
  16. It was not missile cooling itself. But rather the RB 74 Required a different Type of pylon to help cool its seeker. Where as the RB24J could use a smaller / Simpler Launch rail system, That could be more easily mounted on those outer Hardpoints. Atleast that is my understanding of the situation, Though is probable that there were also other considerations that played a part in the decision. Somebody else (Like Renhanxue for example) can probably add more information.

  18. The problem has been fixed internally. But they did not have the time to implement them into todays update sadly.
  19. They say they have fixed it internally so hopefully the next patch for 1.5 will fix it.
  20. Yes and it has been confirmed they know its a mistake and they will Update the Skin to Display the Correct F15 markings. Especially since F21 did not even operate the AJ/AJS 37, they Operated the JA37/SH37/SF37 and for the last few years the SK37. But not the AJ/AJS 37.
  21. This is My personal Viggen tune. And while its not period correct it perfectly fits the Viggen in my opinion. This is my reading of the text in this song as it relates to the Viggen, Viggen = Thor,The Thundergod,The Wielder of Mjölnir. Soviet Invasion Forces = The Serpent. As the Viggen was indeed the Protector of mankind as far as Swedens citizens where concerned! And i always activate this song as i roll in on the target area ^^.
  22. It does not have dedicated Sead weapons. But its speed and agility will allow it to get close to Sams while flying at low altitude allows it do complete a SEAD/DEAD type mission. With a few different weapons beeing suited for the task. I would probably say Mavericks,BK90s Rocketpods and High Drag bombs in CCIP mode would be the best options for the SEAD/DEAD type mission. With the BK90 and High drag bombs having you fly 10-20 meters above ground to avoid enemy fire untill you get into range of the target. Where as the Mavericks and rockets would require a pop up attack which would be more vulnerable to interruption (as one might be forced abort the attack run if launched at) Though the Maverick with its FF capability would allow some stand off (and it would be more flexible then the BK 90). Personally i like using the High drag bombs and ive killed a few SA-15s by flying in at 10-20 meters at high speed and dropping in CCIP mode. ^^ But no the Viggen is not a Sead aircraft and does not have Sead weapons though it can take out enemy airdefences if needed (and its speed and agility lets it do so well enough).
  23. Especially the Attack Viggen =P. Since its Proper Flight altitude is 10-20 meters not 10-20 km =P.
  24. What altitude? And you sure you have the Oxygen on?.
  25. Though that Afterburner more then makes up for that! (since while it had weaker Mil power even then some of its contemporary aircraft with a similar role the AJ 37 had a more powerfull afterburner then any of them) Since while in MP its weak but in Afterburner it has a tonne of thrust. (20kN more then the Engine in the Mirage 2000) Which is quite decent for a 1960s Engine/Afterburner combo =P. And even then there were some aircraft from the same time frame with similar roles that were significantly more underpowered then the AJ 37 was,the Sepecat Jaguar for example. And in my opinion its better to have that extra power / performance when you really need it then to have a slightly higher Mil power cruise speed ^^.
