  1. And i assume you are launching at the launch queue? (Wings on the Pipper appear). Ive never had any problems when it comes to accuracy using the High Drag bombs or Arak (or Akan for that matter) when in ANF mode with Radar ranging. Only times i have accuracy problems is when i mess it up myself by missing the launch queue (Usually due to not having the pipper on the target yet when the Launch command goes off) but launching anyway 1-2 sec to late (with the predictable result of the weapons missing).
  2. Indeed no Chaff/Flares without the pod. The KB countermeasure pod can be mounted on the Inner Wing pylons (same as the Anti-Ship missiles and Gunpods), so if you want to have Chaff/Flares you need to mount that pod under one of your wings (Or both if you want more Chaff/Flares). There is also two different variants of Jammer ECM pods that can be carried on one of those wingpylons and a standard Countermeasure loadout would be one Jamming pod and 1 Chaff/Flare pod.
  3. What keybind is it that you have bound?. For me the Quick release (Fast Countermeasure Dispense) works just fine, I have it bound to the Throttle on my Warthog and it works no problem. Is that the control you are trying to use or are you talking about another keybind?.
  4. But yea Air-Air weapons and Countermeasures can be mixed with anything. The limit is only related to Air-Ground weapons. (with the before mentioned Exception of the RB 75+Gunpods and RB 05+Gunpods mixes)
  5. Il build on Corrigans response. The only Valid Air-Ground weapons mix is RB 05A + Gunpods and RB 75 + Gunpods. (as well as air-air missiles and countermeasures as Corrigan mentioned).
  6. Sure but then we could atleast tell people to RTFM as in that case they would only have themselves to blame. But in this case neither manuals nor tutorials tell you it cant be done. So people are likely to try it then assume its a bug when it does not work until somebody tells them otherwise.
  7. I really feel like they need to include the Valid / non valid weapon mixes in either the Manual or in the tutorial since there are so many people that are having problems with this and are mixing weapons and then have no idea why it is no working. And wherever the info is added it needs to be very obvious (to where people cant miss it). Another suggestion on a similar subject. I feel like they should probably re-designate the RB 75B to AGM-65B both to differentiate it from the Historical RB 75s carried by the Viggen and to give people a clear idea of what it is and the differences between it and the other RB 75s.
  8. The RB 75B is a fictional designation for the AGM-65B. (As Sweden never Acquired the AGM-65B the designation is Fictional / non historical). The RB 75 and RB 75T are both based on the AGM-65A and have the same seeker. the AGM-65B (so RB 75B ingame) was the follow up development of the AGM-65A and had a Magnified seeker ("Zoomed in") making it easier to detect smaller targets and targets at longer ranges. (Downside with the B model though is that the Magnification comes at a cost as it has a more narrow FOV so finding targets at close-Medium ranges become more difficult as the Seeker is "Seeing" a smaller area). The devs decided to add the B version since where as it was never carried on the Viggen (as Sweden never Acquired it) it was compatible (as any aircraft that could carry a AGM 65A could also carry the B), another reason why they decided to add it (and probably the more significant one) is they thought some people (depending on Monitor/Resolutions etc) might have a harder time finding targets using the non-magnified RB 75/75T then they should have compared to reality. Im okay with them adding it but i really think they should re-designate it AGM-65B to differentiate it from the historical RB 75 and RB 75T (this will also let people know what the variant is more easily). And as to Armament mixes. There are only 2 air-ground mixes that are valid loadouts (where all weapons carried will work) and those are RB 75 (any variant) + Gunpods and RB 05 + Gunpods. Any weapons can be mixed with Countermeasures and air-air missiles but these are the only two valid air-ground mixes. I really wish they included this info in both the Manual and the Tutorials (In bold text ^^) as there are so many people having the same problem and not understanding why their weapons dont work, So unless you are knowledgeable about the AJ/AJS 37 you are unlikely to know this beforehand even if you read the manual that is included.
  9. My understanding is that the RB 75 was ordered around 1975 with deliveries during 1977-1978 so the modifications where probably done around that timeframe. (im sure Someone else has more info on the subject) But since the Viggen on the first picture lacks Unit markings it might be one of the Prototypes (or it might be that it was stripped before being made a "museum aircraft").
  10. Rockets and Gunpods are an invalid loadout. Most Air-Ground munitions can not be mixed. The only two Air-Ground Mixes that work are RB 05A + Gunpods and RB 75 + Gunpods. Air-Air missiles and Countermeasures can ofc be mixed with any weapon but those 2 are the only air-ground mixes possible. And this is completely realistic and as it should be.
  11. As Outbaxx states the RB 04E can not be launched from the Centerline. Word is it could be mounted there but you could not launch it from there (so it could in theory be used to transport missiles for example to a roadbase etc). Not sure about the first Picture but since its unpainted i would guess its an AJ (since the SH 37 entered service after the Splinter camo had become standard). And the Model on the second picture is Sporting the F15 markers which would make it a AJ 37.
  12. There is one Red Viggen with the Green Camo though. the Nr.1 Viggen (#243 ) at Sochi has the Green Splinter Camo and not the Metal/silver. Its a minor thing but if people rely on Skins to ID it might be good to fix it =P. I mainly use the map for ID. If i see an aircraft infront of me and i think it is hostile i just Open up the Map. If there is no Friendly in that area i go for it as then it has to be hostile.
  13. Never said it was mandatory =P. Just said that some (i was thinking of the The PA3 primarily) had the Agave which allowed it to use the Exocet. Never said that was the only way to make it Exocet capable. That was simply the way the came to be PA3 equipped. (To fill the requirements needed by the Pakistani military at the time) My understanding is that the PA3 were acquired around 1979, where as the later Mirage F1 EQ variants with Exocet capability seems to be Mid-Late 80s. So maybe the Cyrano IVM variants compatible with the Exocet had not yet been developed / entered service therefore the only choice at the time the PA3 was developed / delivered might have been the Agave. So im well aware that there are multiple other Radars used in conjunction with the Exocet and i dont think i ever stated the opposite.
  14. Well a Vietnam era Mig-21F-13 or MF etc would not really add anything new. As while they would be suitable and helpful for some scenarios they would not really add any new capabilities, (And there is no real need for one either since there is no Map atm that would need a earlier Mig-21 for a realistic sceario) so for now the Mig-21Bis fills all the needs for a "Old" Mig-21 Variant and i think a Mig-21 F-13 or MF variant would be unlikely to get a tonne of sales unless / before there is a Map / Scenarios where the Mig-21Bis would not fit. (Vietnam map etc). Where as a Mig-21Bison would add allot of new capabilities and make for a much more capable aircraft in the DCS scenario and would likely get much more attention / Sales since it would be competitive enough with its R-73s and R-77s etc. And Both the Mig-21 Bison and Mig-21 Lancer variants are in service (Though the last Mig-21 Lancers are about to leave service now as Romania has started to Receive the F-16s from Portugal). The Mig-21 Bison would probably be the best choice of the two since its both more capable, will remain in service longer and is based on the Mig-21Bis (where as the Air-Ground optimized Lancer A was upgraded from Mig-21M's and the Air-Air Optimized Lancer C were upgraded Mig-21MF's).
  15. Well rather a French Mirage F-1E since they are making a F1EE which is the Spanish F1E variant (where as the Spanish F1C variant was designated F1CE). But it always depends on information. What variant they have the best infromation on in order to make the best possible module. So if razbam has all the info they would need for a full Mirage IIIC module but not all the info they would need for a Mirage IIIE module then id be 100% ok with them going Mirage IIIC This probably plays less of a a part when it comes to a Mirage III C or a CJ as they are much more similar then a C vs a E or different Mirage F1 Variants (where there could be very significant changes between different F1s).
  16. Well there was no ED update =P. So no way for Leatherneck to implement any possible fixes they have made since the last patch.
  17. It was still fully capable of air-air combat yes. But it was more aimed towards a strike role with a secondary air-air role where as the Mirage III was Primarily a fighter with a secondary air-ground role. (as it had improved air-ground capabilities compared to the Mirage III but was slightly less capable in the air-air role due to the lack of a radar and apparently being slightly less maneuverable.)
  18. Well the Mirage 5 was simply optimised for the Air-Ground role rather then the air-air role. So it had more Weapons pylons and most variants had no need for a radar (though some of the Mirage 5 Variants did have radars some even had the Cyrano IV radar of the mirage F1 and others with the Agave radar to allow them to carry the Exocet Anti-ship missile). So how capable it would be would depend on the Exact Variants. But some of the variants had superior avionics to the Mirage IIIC or E not worse.
  19. Not a valid loadout so it wont work (have not tried it myself since i know its not a valid loadout but im 99% sure the EP-13 Mav sight will not light up).
  20. That is not the problem. It happends even when the radar is off. The problem is as follows. Lets say i get locked up by something like a shilka. After it locks me i dive behind terrain. It will still maintain lock for a long time(or the RWR will indicate so atleast), ive had cases where it had me locked up for 30+seconds (and many KM of separation) with no line of sight between me and the Shilka in question. The same thing occurs with other radar types as well.
  21. Same here. Always prefer to have the Standard variant of the nation that designed it and used it the most then one of the export variants. So i would also prefer the Mirage IIIC over an export CJ (or any other Export IIIC variant)
  22. As corrigan state this is not a valid loadout. Only valid Air-Ground weapons mixes are RB 75+ Akan or RB 05 + Akan. Air-Air missiles and Countermeasures are ofc compatible with any weapon type but no other Air-Ground weapon mixes are possible then the ones just mentioned. This is related to the CK 37 and the External Armaments panel. When the aircraft is loaded the ground crew will also set the external Armaments panel to the correct positions letting the CK 37 know what weapons are loaded. http://imgur.com/a/xrc6o These are a few pages from the Ground-Crew manual when it comes to the armament panel, and it lists the different positions for the selectors on the panel for different loadouts.
  23. yea and i kinda wish they had added one right away =P. It took ages for the Mig-21 to get Rotation keybinds for its "Weapon Selector" so one would have hoped they would know to implement it for the Viggen straight away where ever possible. And the Viggen has many rotary selector switches where this would be very usefull =P.
  24. It has keybinds though sadly there are no keybinds to rotate it left or right etc but only keybinds for the different positions.
  25. Bind the Seat Raise / Lower keys and then simply adjust the seat as needed. (For example you can lower the seat when using Air-Air missiles / RB 75s or raise it when using CCIP bombing or for landings).
