  1. Wooow. The bad kinetics conversation is back. OMG. Maverick is resurrected! Thank you buddy for kudos. Kudos goes back.
  2. Maybe this works: https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/DCS_func_setAltitude duno jet... From -DCS 2.7.11.22211 - 08.04.2022 - Scripting. Added setSpeed and setAltitude to Controller class.
  3. Did some more tests. Its messy. I just want limit AI unit's altitude without some extra wp settings. Case with race track orbit is ok for AWACS or Tanker, but for direct flight AI randomizes altitude and approach.
  4. Similar request, except locked on AGL with two waypoints, takeoff and landing. Someone?
  5. video diagnostics 3d model information egg. in 3d model viewer, 3d model Lod0 file size etc..
  6. this is what i would like to see in DCS +internal environment
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXl3-l3VJoo
  8. Checkbox should go "on" to fill sym hardpoints, and go "off" to refine after. States should be remembered, no reversion after uncheck. Like those HP in sym should just go dimmed with mirror HP ordinance chosen on right side but special always undimmed.
  9. This would make a life much easier I suppose as many players do take symmetrical loadouts, exception would be some pods like in F16 but that can be turned off and set in full range of weapon hardpoints in second iteration turning the checkbox off.
  10. Was thinking more like counterpart of E2C
  11. What about this AWACS in DCS?
  12. Hi Flappie, well I was thinking more of hiding nicknames from each side only. Players on same side could see nicks and modules of team members.
  13. Did they used Froude scaleup in calculations then?
  14. Hi guys, I propose some view restrictions in MP matches and new entry approach. The reason? Certain players do get too much attention on MP matches, with GCI coordinated attack probability increase, and sometimes are forced to change player name to avoid GCI focus. So here are proposal changes in coalition menu and F10 map. Starting from coalition selection in MP with 'Game master' instead of 'Spectator' as Game master would see current dual coalition view: Then role selection of only previously selected coalition. This could speedup module selection and sorting: Then F10 GCI map showing opponent player module without 'Player name' (bearing and altitude istead?): Then score-list with hidden module details: It should also protect teams from tactics leak and would contribute 'Fog of war' scenery. I hope many multiplayer gamers would agree on this . Thank you.
  15. Its not easy to tell was it hard or not. Pilot body would say that to his mind. There was deflection in flight path for some 10-15 deg up. No warnings, no indication. Even if one masters the maneuvers and keeps it under structural limits, there are still updates in FM to cope with. So every update gives something new, even as catastrophic as it is in that case. So yes, X-box indicator might be good aid during learning and adaptation to FM updates.
  16. In this case (tunnel vision, grey-out, G-LOC, red-out) seems to be not indicative enough. Maybe that is the thing that has to be tuned up too. (Airframe stress-meter is about to come for X-box version.) - why not add the indicator on screen in PC version just like ctrl-enter controls indicator? Last case for me was when I broke F-5 wings in a pullout. Was it my fault or not, its hard to tell but there it is, structural damage too easy to accumulate. There's no time to react properly.
  17. You're right in most but one critical sensor is missing here - pilot body g-force feel. Every combat pilot knows when he's on the edge, well trained to recognize signs of high g-forces and intervene in right time dancing on the edge. Even well trained racing drivers use that feel not to slip over the road edge in high-speed cornering. Thing is that that feel is below structural limit of most combat airframes. Maybe there could be a solution in form of on-screen visual aid as g-force meter (g-suit compression) with some structural stress red zones. That could help this thing not to happen or even discuss too much.
  18. tx grimes. didnt know that.
  19. Guys, would it be fine if ground unit liveries would match the season by default so there's no required livery selection from mission designers. Tx.
  20. +1. May I add some things too. Its all matter of screen information filtering, as what is shown and what is not.. - player titles only OFF/ON - AI units titles OFF/ON ..basically filtering by type of any kind. Then: - clear the route of ground units - combine various ground units into a group with single path to destination - group ranking (egg lead unit set, then next becomes lead if first gets killed etc.) - adding some rules of engagement to that group (AI behavior in case of attack from ground of air) - disassemble the group etc. Tnx.
  21. No problem at all. Just let it pass to dev team and that is fine. No pressure. CA is quite important segment of game as, I suppose, many players don't understand that. The harder the target the more skilled player is. Regards.
  22. Thank you BIG on reply. I think many would like this kind of "exploit", as MAX noticed, not to be present in DCS. I'm glad you hear my voice and hope some fix will come in next updates.
  23. I wasn't bored and either was the guy on 25t dropping most of his arsenal on me, his last vihors killed me just because i got stuck in river.. and that tank almost entered their base traveling 30miles from init farp manually.
  24. Hi guys, I think that tree hit boxes should be reduced to trunks not booth trunks and tree canopies. It might be a lot of work, might not, but at current state there are some rather strange defense tactics that works. Here's the video of demonstration from live server. Tnx
  25. Sorry for interruption. Thing is that prior mechanical failure in non brittle materials there is always obvious visual deformation on any structural geometry exceeding yield linear stress and entering nonlinear zone. That means plastic deformation. Fatigue is strength degrading factor and is expressed in allowable stress cycling thus limiting geometry strength over time. Not an issue in most cases as most stress concentrated zones do appear visually by surface texture change and can be detected and observed. Most airframes do have skin as primary structural element and all stress is accumulated there. In combination with fatigue and set stress limit or factor of safety airframe manufacturers do predict airframe lifespan in years. Catastrophic failure is not first option but rather second as first goes plastic deformation, aerodynamics degradation and then ultimate failure.
