AFAIK the version bought by the USAF/ANG/whatever doesn't include a flight model, only the avionics -
Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

I hope the latter will have their answer first though. Especially if that "end of the world" rubish turns out to be true :p 11 monthes to go :p -
Report de BUG et Solution (VISTA et SEVEN 32 BITS)
92nd-MajorBug replied to KAMOV's topic in Français
Sans compter que grace au packaging merveilleux de ED, chaque patch fait environ 2go. Du coup si y'a plus de 2 patches à installer, ça devient interéssant de prendre l'installeur complet, rien que du point de vue du poids ;) -
The "page" command of the UFC works, but IIRC you need to use the "func" button of the UFC. That's the same for every button of the UFC, the function written in white next to a button is accessible using the function button Hope this helps :)

Yes, PvE refers to Player Vs Environment although this term is rather used in popular MMOs (won't give names but you know what I mean :p). So basically that's what we'd call "Humans vs AI" or "Coop"
-
I assume it's a lot harder to actually pull the real thing by mistake, than to click the virtual thing by mistake, especially since the handles are near the maximum angle of view and the trackir tends to get a bit wild there Hence the need for some kind of misclick security, like clicking 3 times, pretty much like the ctrl+e e e command works right now ;)

Can we play DCS F18C with HOTAS Warthog?
92nd-MajorBug replied to jp203000's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's more "If" than "When" to be honest -
Definitely got shot by one of the red labels flying around them :P As soon as the aircraft looses a wing, airborne or not, it's considered dead and the AI will ignore it, which is why they weren't finished off ;)
-
Exactly what I meant with "several times", but you stated it more precisely ;)
-
That's just a little thing the Giant Bomb video reminded me of, but it would be cool if we were able to trigger the ejection by clicking the ejection handles several times instead of using the keyboard. Dunno if it's simple to code or not, just sayin' :)
-
Once you get past the frustration of wanting to click everything yourself, this was some great fun to watch :P This was actually very well done, they knew just enough so there was actually something going on, and at the same time they were clueless enough to produce that incredible lot of failures :P The straffing and their reaction to the GAU-8 effect was priceless too. Thanks for sharing :)

LAN Mode without Master Server Connection
92nd-MajorBug replied to CHSubZero's topic in DCS Wishlist
Bump Now that DCS BlackShark 2 is out and it has the same requirement for a permanent internet access when you just want to play on LAN, maybe this thread will get a few more +1 ? (already gave mine for DCS Warthog a while ago ;)) -
Yeah maybe, but then when another new DCS module will be out (who said Hornet ? Didn't say Hornet.), will it require an 'Upgrade' for every other 'older' DCS module ? The question is not that important right now as we only have one DCS module that needs an upgrade ; but since the DCS series seem built to last a long while, the first DCS modules like Warthog and BlackShark will have cost you quite a lot if you pay for every upgrade just to keep the online compatibility. Not saying that it will be this way for sure but any 'official' answer on that issue would be greatly appreciated :) (already asked this, like many others, on the "BS2" topic of the BS forums)
-
Because of this I guess : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80907

I must say I'm a bit concerned about what will happen next too (not aggreeing on the "lazy programming" bit though - of course it's perfectly understandable that achieving compatibility between independant modules can take a lot of effort for something as complex as DCS). I'm only flying the Warthog right now (+ some FC2) so it's great if BS pilots are happy with the upgrade - and I'll get to fly online with my BlackShark squadmates which is pretty cool too ;) But then what will happen when the next DCS module comes out, or when one of the DCS modules gets a major upgrade (major = big enough to greatly affect online compatibility, requiring a lot of work on each DCS module to get compatibility back). Will it be mandatory to buy a $20 upgrade for each sim just to keep the online compatibility ? I'm asking that because I'm flying with an online squad where each pilot has his favorite aircraft but we all fly together online on large coop missions, meaning that right now, multi-aircraft missions are flown with FC2 + BS. So when we will be flying online together on DCS BlackShark + DCS Warthog + (hopefully) DCS Hornet or whatever DCS module comes next, will it be mandatory for everyone to upgrade their sim(s) every time another DCS module comes out ? I would hate having to tell someone "upgrade, or get out" :( So basically, is this $20 upgrade a one-time thing or should we expect to see the same paying upgrade process for each DCS module every time a new DCS module comes out ? Thanks in advance for your lights on that matter

After cold startup, aircraft wants to bank right...

Or maybe because the nosewheel is not at the center of the plane because of the cannon ? It was the same with the Su-25/T ;) -
No weapons in DSMS but are under wings?

Did you try to do a "DSMS load" from the DTS Upload page of the MFCD ? -
No mention of MP datalink fixes in 1.1.0.7 changelog?
92nd-MajorBug replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It might be because the refresh rate of broadcasted SPI is quite long (around 5 seconds I think), so if you're broadcasting your SPI while tracking a moving target, it will be hard for your teammate to know which unit you're pointing on If you broadcast static targets your teammate should have his TGP really close to the target, if not right onto it -
Yup, you can put the IFFCC switch back to "test", select "display modes", and change the "airspeed" setting to "GS"

LAN Mode without Master Server Connection
92nd-MajorBug replied to CHSubZero's topic in DCS Wishlist
+1 My squad will probably consider officialy switching from FC2 to DCS when the F-18 will be out. But we do 2 lans a year, and obviously won't switch if we can't play on LAN. So that's approx 50 "+1" for all the people listed here : http://www.3rd-wing.net/index.php?act=newroster -
True, but "easy" isn't "efficient". That would be funny to see 4 vanilla FC2 F-15s vs 4 DCS F-18s, with full datalink support on one side and none on the other ;)
