  1. That's what I attached previously. DCS has not run at all since I made this thread. I've attempted three subsequent reinstallations, all successfully update, but nothing is working. The log file is here again. Thank you. The fact that I cannot install any antivirus programs and that 5 independent pre-boot scans of the of the PC reveal nothing leads me to believe I may need to wipe this machine clean and start over, something I really do not want to do. There's nothing in the saved games logs folder after the 10th of this month. The problem started after that and there are no log files related to this. autoupdate_log.zip
  2. I can manually update it but still cannot run :(
  3. Thank you - I am fully updated to the latest version.
  4. Uninstalled and reinstalled (will not auto update) - still get the same message. Edit: Updated and still have the error. autoupdate_log.txt
  5. HA! I wish! Since all of my systems are normally maintained in such good order, I never use a restore point...now getting punished for my hubris  Thank you. I will use restore points in the future. I will attempt another reinstallation of DCS again. I am running a fourth pre-boot scan, this time with Windows Defender offline. Then Comodo and then I'll reinstall...grrrr!!! The Milviz F4 is a payware plane for FSX and P3D. :/ :joystick:
  6. I've run three separate scans with recovery CD's of Kapersky, Bitdefender and Avast. Nothing other than a strange potentially false pos with the Milviz F4 and driver sweeper. Other than that, the system is clean. Any help?
  7. I have no hair remaining and I had good hair! :/ Can it be solved?
  8. Here's the file - I can't seem to run the hash checking tool any longer. edCore.zip
  9. I'm not running any AV programs and seem not to be able to install any. It may have been that something slipped in when I disabled MSSE a few days ago. I posted the hash results previously. The hash matches what you have posted.
  10. Thank you - I found a cool hash checker. The screen shot of the SHA test is attached. C68FCBFC11F08469E5FC4E33B46E01E08F6BE5F295119CA86D782F17D67494D1
  11. Ok - I uninstalled MBAM and am not running any AV software. I tried to run DCS again and still get the same error. I also tried to reinstall MSSE and it fails; fails in Safe Mode as well. Old DCS v1.2 fires right up without issue.
  12. Here's the situation: I turned off MSSE when I had the last problem with DCS after this most recent update. I re-enabled MS Security Essentials and then this trouble came up. I uninstalled it (forced with Revo Uninstaller) and still get the error. I cannot reinstall MSSE now, either...strange error when attempting to reinstall. Anyhow, I am running Malwarebytes now and will uninstall it and run butt-naked to see what I can do. I can assure you there are no oddball programs trying to hook into the DCS executable. Thank you for the replies.
  13. Updated to the latest version and still get this message.
  14. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it (no updates) and the same message comes up.
  15. So this is a new one. All I did was start the program. Nothing on the system has changed and the hardware is fine. What to do without needing to reinstall this again?
  16. I'm wondering if it's something that can be corrected locally or if a repair is needed from ED.
  17. Am I the only one with this? It's still there after the most recent update from a couple of days ago.
  18. I think it would be helpful to have release/update notes available when the updates are deployed. While I appreciate the update and the hopeful improvements they bring, it's a disservice to the user base not to include release/update/patch notes with the update. Knowing that the Oculus 0.8.0.0 runtimes were required could have save hours of lost time. IF there are release/patch notes somewhere, someone kindly direct me to them.
  19. I'm stuck at .45208 and can't get this thing updated to the latest version now. EDit: I found this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147735 Seems to be working :)
  20. Are there release notes somewhere stating that it's necessary to update to 0800 runtimes? And how does one manually update DCS? It is not updating automatically today to the latest version. EDit: I found this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147735 Seems to be working :)
  21. Edit: Solved. The latest update wants to use the 0800 runtimes with the necessary nvidia drivers. It's running fine and still nice and smooth for me.
