Guys: checked over my controller and found a slightly loose confection between the cables on my X52 Pro...redrew the mission just now and all is working right now....the only thing I wonder about is that the 3rd and 4th when I lock them up with tms up long the view does not go to area and then point but the system does track and the targets are hit. any idea why that would happen...I even unlocked and then reset the spi and lock up the targets

Mtuckner I think so. the HUD shows TGP in lower left so I am assuming the system is set up right..

slug88: I hold the release button down for more than 2 seconds in fact I hold the release button for up to 45 seconds.....approaching level flight...the ASL never falls...

Is there a problem with this Training Mission? I have done a search of the forums but can't seem to find any mention of problems...I can drop the 12s but the 38 will not drop.

Where can I find this ghost ipad app...searched apple apps store couldn't find it looking for "ghost":huh:

Simfreak: Have to agree....some of my saved tracks are not what I flew...sometimes there are craches that just didn't happen when I flew the mission...No sure what that is about.

Snacko: When JackB set up the profile he just picked A and S as they were not assigned in Beta 1...Most of us used A and S through to Beta 4. You are right , the controls for the speedbrakes are as you stated, in the Release Candidate. You need to check your profile while in the profile editor. Open the profile editor, select your profile ( Jack Bauer) or whatever you chose to call it. On the top right side off the editor you see several icons. Click on the one that looks like a toothed gear. This will open the test page. the key strokes to the various buttons and sliders etc will be printed on the page as you move the various controls buttons etc. See if you have any that are a A. such as on the slider for the speed brake commands. Hope this helps.:)

Snacko: I occasionally have the same issue with X52 Pro....I think this is a ongoing issue with Saitek....probably the SST software? It usually happens when I plug my controllers into the USB ports on my computer.

ZenChess: Do you have the speedbrakes set up as A and S and programmed to the slider on the Throttle via SST? If so it is giving you repeated A because the slider is not in the middle of the range of travel and is actually imputing a command.

Runibl Wow, you don't get a deal like that very often. Good for you. Did you see the Thread where they are using the Ipad as a screen for the various parts of the instrument panels.

the problem with the 10 inch Kindle is the price...$370.00 is way too much for a book reader/PDF reader....For only $30.00 more you can buy an IPAD...that is why I am currently waiting for the IPAD 2 to be rolled out.:thumbup:

Runibl: Can you give me a step by step on how you got it on your IPAD. It's not clear to me how you transfered it to itune? Thanks

Does *IPad have a built in PDF reader?

I have the 6" Kindle, latest generation. The PDF is very hard to read and you need to use the "zoom" function too much...I had the same hope of using the Kindle to access the manual but so far it has not all that easy to use...You can send the PDF to yourself on the Amazon network with the subject line CONVERT so that it is changed into a Kindle format that allows for font change but because the PDF is so large, my service provider doesn't let me send it so I am kind of stuck right now...the 10" would work much better but at over $350 US dollars not really a good option. :(

Zenchess: I assume you have changed the speedbrake commands to A & S...the repeated A can happen if you don't have the slider centered ie, commanding either the up or down speedbrake command.

Has there actually been an acknoledgement by ED that this is indeed a bug for all toe brakes?

You can see the problem when you have the view control position Cntrl & enter open. The brakes are sometimes partially on without any input and you have to press w key to get them to release. I am using Saitek Pro Pedals.

If you downloaded the Beta 3 instead of the patch do you already have the new Training Missions?
