  1. Put some hours in on it today. Went through alot of different plan views trying to get the tail end correct. I had to do alot of reshaping that isn't exactly obvious but I should have some time to do more this week.
  2. That is on the shelf until much later down the road. With the Mig-29 I can use alot of the assets already in the game for the current Mig-29. The 25 would have to be a complete from scratch build and I dont have the capability to do that. I do need a skinner tho for the 29K.
  3. I wanted to do both but to redo a Mig-25PD/PDS will take a long time starting from scratch. Hopefully a 3rd party dev can do a cockpit for it. But I'm working on the Mig-29K and will be putting in some hours on it all this week.
  4. I figured this would be easier to get in game. Although it wont be 100% accurate and up to Mig-21 standards it will be a start. Cleaning the model up, lengthening the wing, fixing flap and aileron position & size, removing mudguard, etc. Hopefully someone would like it.
  5. I did some work on IL-2. The issue is I'm not use to the very high poly counts.
  6. Have any 3D modelling, texture, animation, or coding skills? :) I've thrown the entire model away 2 times so far just messing with how I want to construct it.
  7. It would take more then me to get it done. Google translate and some time learning Russian letters also helps.
  8. There is no secret. If Wags will allow it I would like to make an attempt at the Mig-25PD then the Mig-25BM. There is already a Mig-25PD external model in the game.
  9. Anyone able to translate the text on this schematic? Main interests are the Mig-25PD & BM
  10. I want a Mig
  11. You need to post more vids man.
  12. In the process of analyzing if I want to work on the Mig-29 model that was previous done by 59th Reaper I just looked at the models accuracy. I read a few mentioned that the model was a tad rough and in the process of giving it a look over is when I got confused. The slat configuration for the different models is where the problem is. Mig-29UB has a inner slat that deflects further then the outer. Mig-29(9-12) Fulcrum "B" appears the have a similar split slat but I can't tell if it has 2 or 3 slats on each wing due to what appears to be a gap in a smaller inner slat and either a panel line or a 3rd outer slat. Mig-29(9-13) Fulcrum "C" appears to have a larger inner slat but a fixed or demand needed outer slat that appears to be different then the other two. Mig-29K is the carrier version. This has folding wings but the wing itself is 2 feet 1 inch longer and it seems the slats work as one unit and break where the wings fold. I find references to a new wing layout Block 263 but dont know which version this is in regards too. Hopefully someone can dig up some detail on which model had which configuration and their deflection values so they can be modelled and animated correctly. Don't mind the texture on the wings. Messing around with 4096x4096 texture map instead of 1024x1024 from the original but you can see what looks like 3 slats and they appear on several plans.
  13. Sent Pman a PM hopefully he gets on soon.
  14. I agree that it is very odd and yes there are Boeing planes(IP) already in DCS but they probably worked out a deal and have the ability to do so. Some of the 3rd party devs may not have this ability and that is what leads to the issue. Either way its easier to not make a plane as Boeing has plenty of money to fight in court compared to just about any other company.
  15. Anything that Boeing owns will be extremely hard to get a license for. A-4, F-4, etc They want a company to give them royalties on sales plus that company must carry 1M dollars in insurance and the list goes on. Even for old aircraft like the A-4 it is next to impossible to get Boeing to give you permission to even make a model of it. They put a value on their IP and that is what sets the rate, which can be extremely high. EDIT: I also wanted to add that Boeing owns alot of IP(Intellectual Property) because they bought alot of companies over the years that designed those planes.
  16. You would need to build the tank track in equal sections. Right now you have 1 very long piece in the middle, if that was to go around the sprockets it wouldn't be right.
  17. I did some work in IL-2 many years ago and had some free time to see what I could come up with. What can I say, I got bored.
