  1. Several have already asked. Hopefully Cobra will set up a pre order page for it. I have money on stand by.
  2. So in other words, Line is going to be the b*tch in the backseat telling you how to fly. lol
  3. Cobra, where can we pre-order? Yes I know end of this year or beginning of next.
  4. I updated to 1.2.15. Mig-21 Module turned green. Didn't try to start anything just in the start screen. Exited, Ran Repair, went back in and everything is good now.
  5. He could be a family member of a service member currently overseas.
  6. Yeah, looking back on it I shoud've grabbed the 109 and 190 due to the price alone but the F-86 has always had a place in my heart while the wife has a hand on the wallet that quickly shot down that idea. lol
  7. I managed to grab the Mig-21 and F-86. I was only going to buy 2 of the lower priced options but ED dropped the price at the very end of the sale. F-86, 109,190 were 9.99. A-10C was 7.99. While the Mig was listed at 37 but was dropped to 24.99. I'm happy I got the Mig-21 and the F-86 but wish I bought the A-10C as well.
  8. I wonder why they call it "Bazar"
  9. The A-4 got cancelled The F-8 and A-7 would be nice as well as the Sandy. The F-100 would fit into early Vietnam nicely as well. Just need a flying Golly for rescue missions.
  10. I hope you guys got in on the sale as it looks like it is now over with. The prices even went down further then what they were listed at. 109, 190, F-86F were 9.99 and not 14.99 A-10C was 7.99 Mig-21Bis was 24.99 instead of 37. I didn't notice until I clicked the module page.

  13. Well supplied units in Europe typically got fillets for their P-47s. It was a slow process and often front line units went without the fillet due to operational demand. If ED does not include the fillet then they will have to program in the characteristics caused by the low pressure area behind the canopy.
  14. The M was made in small numbers and as far as I know they were only used in Europe, many of which went V-1 hunting. "The P-47M was a more conservative attempt to come up with a higher-performance ("Sprint") version of the Thunderbolt, designed to chase V-1 flying bombs, done, in part, by reducing armament from eight .50-caliber Colt-Browning M2 machine guns to six.[17] In September 1944, four P-47D-27-RE airframes (s/n 42-27385 / 42-27388) were modified into prototype YP-47Ms by fitting the R-2800-57© engine and the GE CH-5 turbo-supercharger, a combination which could produce 2,800 hp (2,089 kW) at 32,500 ft (9,900 m) when using Wartime Emergency Power (water injection). Air brakes were added to the wing's lower surfaces to allow braking after a dive onto its prey. The YP-47M had a top speed of 473 mph (410 kn, 761 km/h) and it was put into limited production with 130 (sufficient for one group) built. However, the type suffered serious teething problems in the field due to the highly tuned engine. Engines were unable to reach operating temperatures and power settings and frequently failed in early flights from a variety of causes: ignition harnesses cracked at high altitudes, severing electrical connections between the magneto and distributor, and carburetor valve diaphragms also failed. Persistent oil tank ruptures in replacement engines were found to be the result of inadequate protection against salt water corrosion during transshipment. In the end, it was simply errors made by the R-2800-57© model engine's manufacturers which led to these issues with the P-47M. By the time the bugs were worked out, the war in Europe was nearly over. However, P-47Ms still destroyed 15 enemy aircraft in aerial combat, normal results for any fighter type in March–May 1945 when aerial encounters with the Luftwaffe were rare. The entire production total of 130 P-47Ms were delivered to the 56th Fighter Group, and were responsible for all seven of that group's jet shoot-downs. Twelve were lost in operational crashes with the 56th Group resulting in 11 deaths, two after VE Day, and two (44-21134 on 13 April 1945 and 44-21230 on 16 April 1945) were shot down in combat, both by ground fire. The second YP-47M (of the batch of four converted P-47Ds) was later fitted with new wings and served as the prototype for the P-47N." Since many seem to talk about the PTO for DCS then the P-47N would be my pick for late model 47. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-47/p-47n-88406.html A new wing was designed with two 50 U.S. gal (190 l) fuel tanks. The second YP-47N with this wing flew in September 1944. The redesign proved successful in extending range to about 2,000 mi (3,200 km), and the squared-off wingtips improved the roll rate. The P-47N entered mass production with the uprated R-2800-77© engine, with a total of 1,816 built.
  15. If you took a total of 6 A-A missiles with 1 large drop tank. Carry the tank to 5km, then release it and only used mil power from there on out, how high can you get the 21?
  16. I'm aware because it is too long. Just a friendly reminder.
  17. I want the Sukhoi. Or I want the A-10A.
  18. Dont post your serial number! PM Cobra and he should fix you up. http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=92852
  19. Can you guys try testing altitude by flying to about 6 or 7km on mil power. Level off and accelerate until high mach then start the climb?
  20. Look at the wing line and you will see the bump that is on the F-14 and not on the Mig-23.
  21. I hope to see a 17 in DCS but I would really like a 19 and 25. Interestingly enough not much is said about tactics used against the Phantoms and the 17s would bounce the Phantoms and then the 21s would strike. Would make for an interesting dynamic.
  22. The Mig-17 was the primary air opponent in Vietnam.
  23. No. The E-Shop will now be running on the EDGE of your wallet!! :D
  24. The original Mig-23B was called the ducknose. I would hope they would model a later model Mig-27(like a K model or M if material is available) instead of the early ones since they had more capable equipment on board. The cats term could be, Hellcat, Tigercat, Tomcat. But the blurred picture looks like a Tomcat. So lets hope for a Mig-27 an a F-14.
