A friend told me that not putting the Gear handle to neutral will make CM not responding. Possibly a bug since I don't get why a hydraulic system can affect a electronic, but he said he tested it and works that way. Maybe try that. Also try to hit the button a couple of times. Occurred to me sometimes a single press and hold action will not fire CM.

Maybe at high stick deflections yes. Not with so small inputs and definitely not at all speeds and AoA, NO WAY. Imagine a real aircraft being so sensitive what a disaster would be in a tight and stressful fight. And one more thing M3 hasn't justified that a delta wing cannot go past 15-16 AoA. Go past 15-16 and AoA will jump to 20 for a stall. Sorry but the improvements form on patch to another are very faint.

This has nothing to do with the FM in 1.2 or previous patches. However this may be right to the numbers it feels totally wrong flight. Nothing natural about how an ac is flying. The inertia is visible at low roll rates, as you increase the roll rate arcade mode is on. Fly with SAU stab on and see what inertia is. I can fly and roll any aircraft here in the sim or other sims and the Mig-21 is rolling like there is no other axis that combines the roll movement it moves like the rudder is not there. And easy should not be a word at birds like the this.

Yeah I know, it was a plus since other variants could carry it under the fuselage. Would love to had it under the fuselage too. A gift from LN. Hoped that the M2k would get the Exocet using the same logic :p

How could most of us know? We fly couches and arm chairs with wheels. I can only tell that FM's prior to 1,5 where a lot natural for me. However Dolphin stated that we where flying the wrong plane and that this is closer to RL/Sim. I am sure the are trying to do the best but I can't say I am 100% sure that this is right. I asked Dolphin about the SAU stabilization system and he replied with this https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3098799&postcount=50

Yep. BTW I love how the aircraft behaves while on the SAU stabilize mode. I even dogfight with it, I don't use it on T/O and landing tho. Anyone tried? Feels way more smoother, in control and enjoyable.

There is not info on the ASP for a locked A2A target. You should look at your radar display for interception of the target. Although if you lock a ground target using the Kh-66 the piper will stay on that as long your are in gimbals (don't know if realistic or not).

Expensive for most. Haven't tested. It is a luxury atm for me and a lot of ppl. 2D is just fine. DCS's closure rate feeling was always a bit off if you compare to other combat sims out there, modern or not. You just have to lower significant the FOV to understand it which has its own drawbacks.

Same train here. Not satisfied. But can't comment that the devs are looking to satisfy customers that are looking more to a game than a simulation. The biggest problem M3 is facing in my opinion is while they are trying to set the correct numbers for the Mig's FM they are loosing ground on how the aircraft should respond inside the simulation. Stick inputs in RL vs Sim (where you feel no force especially in a aircraft with no FBW system) differ. Short stick with no FB will make users to overuse the axis thus a need to ad "weight" on the inputs is needed. The F-5E has a very similar logic where it uses a stick command (ofc not present on the real jet) to release roll limitation which is enabled by default to simulate the "weight" we are looking for.

I am not seeing those yaw oscillations in landing or T/O configurations with the new update. However big pitch oscillations happen in flight, pitch trim 1/1 seems very strict and while rolling feels much better in small inputs the FBW feeling is still persistent, there is still no weight on wings calculated, whatever the payload may be (tried A2A, A2G full allowed T/O weight). Slip indicator is inverted. SAU stabilizer, at activate still gives left or right aileron input. Overall a better patch.

Make 3 wheel landings and use parachute, works until we get a fix.

I own no NTTR and multiplayer is great but has nothing to do with a campaign. I hope that BST will make one, us my opinion and how DCS handle releases makes a campaign mandatory for every DCS module and since you pay the same price with other modules that come with one.
-
Sales came wallet was short but I was brave and grabbed that lovely bird. All nice but why there is no campaign on Caucasus? Searched everywhere and nothing to be found. Are we waiting for BST to make a move or what?

Exactly the above post. Very good representation of the "problem". I am using SAU STAB for all my flights to get the feel of what is was supposed to be.

${1} The most aggressive display I've found on youtube and the landing wow.

Forcing the nose down at about 115 knots, that some guys mentioned above, will keep the nose wheel intact tho!

They usually fly low to avoid detection, flank you and try to degrade your advantage over radar and in DCS to be able to see you, since contrast of air frames and light does not favor us in DCS. For an F-5 pilot to go low and use his maneuverability advantage over the Mig I found it complete logical, but for an Air Superiority fighter like f-15, 27 etc I can only be sad about it. However forcing F-5 to climb to fight you is the best, plus forcing the to reject the radar coverage of the ground will make GCI to have them in his picture.

Saitek X 52 standard built. I fly any other sim or module with no problem.
-
Still moving the stick slightly will force me to roll more than I wanted with my curve setting already at 35, I own an x52 and I don't plan to change it or use extension. Back in 1.2 we had a great FM in all aspects and I don't think an insane roll rate plus overdone sensitivity can characterize the Bis or any fighter that uses only the pilots inputs and not a computer.
-
Hopes for the best! Versions 1.2.16 and or 1.5.3 is a good place to start :D
-
I tend to use the SAU Stabilizer system to make the aircraft behave as I like makes maneuvers and flight more smooth and accurate, but still for me this is not a solution since at low speeds the dumbering (landing etc) of the stabilizer will create response problems.
-
I would return to the old binaries if someone could tell me how without using all of my activation's again. Not because it was accurate or this is inaccurate cause I'll never know the numbers but cause the former was closer in what I think a plane acts on the air and I back up everything VIFF posted.

The current visible system is the most horrible that exists in comparison to any other flight or combat sim and if you read my post you will see that I have my own style of flying. Yes I won't find a bunch of guys to fight but the few I'll find the fewer will become :p

90% of all my Mig kills are with R3R flying high and taking the fight Head On, Dive and re enter the fight with energy. I really don't understand why ppl fly so low always, especially with the mig. You are vulnerable to everything you can't see or has wheels and guns, IR missiles and you can't gain any energy. Fly high and use your advantages. I can't agree on the current FM's greatness tho.
