What I don't understand: If they put so much effort into this stick, why don't they make it a long stick? In the end the A10 stick is mounted on the cockpit floor! If this is going to be an option offered by thrustmaster I'll buy one!
I'll start with building a panel to see if I enjoy the process. Over time it might become a pit. My problem is that I don't have any tools here in the UK so I have to go shopping first.
I thought about starting with this panel:

It looks fairly easy to build, so just the right thing for a beginner like me. Thanks again for the link Chibawang!
As you can see on this image, the left panel is anything but a flat surfce.
If the information about the excact shape of the consoles is not out there, would it be possible for ED to post the cockpit dimensions?
Thanks y2kiah, that's part of the information I want. But I'd like to have the total dimensions of the left side panel and the angle between the inner and the outer half. But the information, expecially on the linked site is very good, thanks!
The simped pedals are very good piece of kit. They are very precise and rock solid. I think the very high quality makes up for the missing toe brakes. No significant wear and tear due to hall-sensors as well.
Get both! I have TIR4 and am absolutely happy with it, I can't imagine the TIR5 improvements to be that significant. Safe that money for the rudder pedals!

I have all buttons assigned via the SST software and only the axis commands I have set ingame. I'd also recommend to do the profile yourself with SST. Good luck
Eddie, that's what I thought when I saw this add for the first time. It certainly is no cooincidence that Thrustmaster has choosen the A10C controls as their new HOTAS and that DCS:A10C is due next year.
