  2. Увидим ли мы в DCS более поздние варианты мустанга? Максимум наддува 67"hg в DCS на фоне отчетов о использовании 81"hg уже осенью 44го как-то не впечатляют на фоне доры напичканой по последнему слову техники 45 года. Как минимум 72"hg было бы очень не плохо увидеть.
  3. And so? And why they had to modificate it? Why they didn't have it from stock and had only 56hg? In DCS we have P-51D-20NA from 44. Another guy DIVED. Nice proof. So you ignored other what i said. You ignored my statement that in game engine isn't dying even after 15 minutes at 67"hg of normal cooling... I think it's useless to continue this conversation, you will keep crying for 81" hg no matter what.
  4. Ok. So I open this report and...: So basically this guy dove and increase speed to much more than mustang can fly in straight flight. It would be really strange if he would overheat his engine at such speed, lol :lol: Moreover it's november with almost winter temperatures. Change temperature in your mission and you will be surprised :music_whistling: And the last, in this report a modification of mustang is not mentioned. So we have a specific modification for an interception of V-1 here, nuff said. Moreover "+25 lbs./sq.in." so it means previously they had only 56 "hg? Lol, just what we have found here :thumbup: I will repeat: it is not dying after 5 minutes. I flew with 67"hg for more than 15 minutes without any problem. It looks like you overheat it by slow speed and it's die after it.
  5. Just flown and tested. In straight flight engine with emergency power not dying for more than 15min(I'm too lazy to check for a bigger amount of time) at any altitude. Even in gentle climb it's not overheating. Just don't lose speed dramatically. Or you thought you can use emergency power endlessly at any speed? Also, here is the test results: At 0 alt dora(+MW50) faster then mustang for ~40km/h. At 3000m speeds are equal. At 6000m mustang faster then dora for ~40km/h. I haven't tested higher altitudes but I think result is obvious - P-51 is high-altitude fighter as it was in real life and designed for.

Engine: 1595hp max. t/w ratio: 0.46 2) Fw-190D-9: Dry weight: 3490kg Engine: 2100hp max with MW-50. t/w ratio: 0.60 Guess which one accelerates faster? :) And moreover dora's max power is at low altitudes while p-51 is good at high altitude. Forget that myth about the astonishing P-51 destroying any german fighter without any problem.
  7. I really hope that damage model will be fixed and I will not see a mustang receives a few mk-108 shells and flies away like nothing happend. I really discouraged when dora fire mg-151, hit mustang 3-5 times and mustang not receive any critical damage.

  10. Hm... Looks like it really was all about the weight. 1-2 tons of fuel + 4 missiles or 4 unguided rocket pods are too much for it... Thanks everyone!
  11. There is definitely something wrong with landing gears. Starts in 1.2.11. 1) Gears are too fragile. Even when I'm landing mig very-very-very softly there is almost 100% chance I will broke landing gears. And it's an aircraft which can use unpaved airfields? Really? 2) The tire of nose wheel always explode and it doesn't matter turned off or tuned on it's brake system. And it's shaking like a crazy in both cases.
  12. Господа, поясните как работает СОД? Сделал миссию, где параллельно летят русский Ил-76 и американский C-17. Наблюдаю обоих на экране радара. Включаю СОД, жму кнопку опознания - ответа ноль, на радаре оба отображаются как цели. Пробовал переключать каналы и режимы работы СОД - толку ноль. В чем подвох? Или это реально баг? В мануале толком ничего о СОД нету.
  13. Шасси у мига из сверхбетонных превратилис в сверххрупкие. Садить теперь надо совсем как пушинку. Из огня да в полымя...
