  1. You can try this free version here http://www.dafont.com/digital-7.font
  2. I work weekends.. I'm at work right now actually. But reading news like this while at work can make the day (or night on my case since I'm a night auditor) way better
  3. Great news! Much much better than no news. Good to know that work on F/A-18C is ongoing too. Friday is now officially the best day of the week.
  4. Either drugs or expired painkillers
  5. :megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol: Man I nearly spilled my coffee Good one:thumbup:
  6. Have a check if you have the latest Bios update. Maybe it needs an update. If u already have the latest one then it's possible something is conflicting???
  7. That i5 is mainly the reason you are having low frame rates. Even if you buy a new GPU, which by the way is going to need more power from that 600W PSU you are still not going to see more than 5-10 fps rise. My 2 cents.
  8. :worthy: Another two hours and I'm home :joystick:
  9. So true! My house is directly beneath the localizer capture and I remember one time I was running outside the house looking up to this Transaero 747 flying around 1500-1800 feet to line up on final and misstepped on the pavement hurting my knee really bad  That teached me never to run while looking up :megalol:
  10. I remember the project manager Alex "PilotMi8" Podvoyskiy had a flight with the Huey in Arizona and he commended the need for rudder: "The only major discrepancy in our model as far as balance in flight is the position of the pedals in level flight. In the real thing the right pedal is pressed in about 1.5 - 2 inches at speeds of 80 – 90 knots, whereas in our model the pedals are almost neutral. Because of this, Nick sometimes had to correct me in level flight to center the ball." Here's the article http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105440 As long as it's more realistic now then I'm all for it.
  11. Just a heads up to all the whiny comments that expect nothing else but pure perfection to the very core from the first day - It's still a beta :D

    FSX vs. A-10c

It is fun. If you fly big realistic airliner addons, some nice scenery addons and a good weather addon, throw in a couple of engine, instrument or hydraulic failures and a realistic traffic addon it suddenly becomes very interesting to the point where your hands start to sweat. If you are a real pilot as well with access to Jeppesen charts then the realism goes over the roof. I love FSX, it just that it has been neglected for a number of years and the "cracks" start to become bigger with many addons now becoming more and more system demanding, you can't push for more than 30-40 fps even with the best rig on the planet.
  13. Damn!!! I just came to work. :cry_2: Hopefully there's improvement on the Huey too.
  14. I got the H70. There's no way to know if the pump works. But even if it doesn't work the temps shouldn't go above 90C.
  15. It's for pre-ordering and as a bonus you get access to the beta.
  16. That's amazing. Belsimtek proved to be an excellent 3rd party DCS developer which raised the bar for the rest to follow.
  17. And I'm working as a receptionist here
  18. You need to trim. The higher the speed the more trim downwards is needed, it has nothing to do with your joystick. Look at your control settings in the option menu to find out your trim buttons and you can assigned the trim on your hotas as well for easier use.

    FSX vs. A-10c

FSX/FS2004 community is still very much alive and way bigger than DCS / FC community. FSX is all about civil aviation and it represents a very nice and realistic way to train in navigation and procedures as a RL pilot with PPL, CPL or even ATPL. It only needs the proper system requirements (as all sims and games), to spend a few hours for proper configuration of settings, hotas and addons and you are on your way. Also with some external addons such as REX for realistic weather conditions its very much near perfect if you also have addons like PMDG :) But I wouldn't recommend it to fly fighters.. it's not made for that.
  20. I'd go for EVGA. Better warranty and overall better performance. It's a bit more expensive but for a good reason. Also, I'm not a fan of AMD and Gigabyte but that's your choice, depends on what your CPU is.

    The vortex trap

The whole thread is pointless actually because the module is still a beta and as Viper said the VRS it's still WIP.
  22. When all your concentration and brain power goes on to fly the aircrafts and kill targets the last thing I'll pay attention to is the terrain right now. But, the actual Nevada map for me is not so important, the most important part of the package is the EDGE terrain engine which will unlock new features (currently very hard or impossible to make) and solve a large number of performance and terrain issues (e.g. tree collisions) in the current engine. Plus it's going to be 64bit exclusive and (fingers crossed) true multicore and improvement of ATC. This last one is very important for me because it brings the immersion to a whole new level.
  23. Until I learn how to get from point A to point B they will release a couple more patches and all those issues will be long gone.
  24. Or Nevada EDGE :lol::lol::megalol:
