  1. Does anyone know from which release the Lua DLLs originate from, ED's naming convention "lua.dll" differs from the lua5.dll or lua50.dll from the Lua binaries. Checking the _VERSION variable (export.lua) it states 5.0.2 but was it Release 2 or the 5.0.2 standard. I'm trying to use a external module being called from Lua export but I'm getting a memory issue with the version I compiled against the lua5.dll. Also can ED or a beta tester verify what version is going to be used in black shark? If 5.1.2 is going to be used I can stop work on the mod I’m playing with for Flamming Cliffs and start with Lua 5.1.2 in prep for black shark, it'll make life a lot easier. TIA :helpsmilie:
  2. Why not set up a board to run the event, one member from each squad and democracy can prevail. Board votes on the suggestions and the decision is final :)
  3. Hi All We have a bunch of US airforce tankers and awacs parked outside work and I noticed a few additional panels on the E-3. Anybody know what they are, under the nose and on the sides behind the cockpit? Stock version http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/ic/awacs/index.html Version on the tarmac http://www.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet_media.asp?fsID=98 (first pic)
  4. I use it in the following ways: 1. Disguise a heading, height change 2. Trash Missile (turn it on release chaff turn it off outside burn through range) keep and eye on the smoke trail if you can see it. 3. HOJ from hi altitude with 7Ms or 120s at max range. Not many ppl will expect a 60+ sec fight time to get them. But with friendlies flying around with jammers on all the time you can't often use it. Is the burn through range (LOMAC not RL) of a 120/77 the same as for fighters or are active missiles not affected by ECM at all?
  5. It's on the website, you basiclly copy the export.lua and tacview.lua files to the export/config (something like that) and it will create a tacview file in your lockon/temp directory when you fly a mission or play a track (note: This should happen when you hit the record button but it didn't for me). Unfortunately it will only work with local games as all the servers have the export option disabled due to possible cheats. So what you have to do is record a track when flying online, play the track and then you'll get a tacview file in the temp directory. see http://lomac.strasoftware.com/lomac-acmi-en.php "How to install this ACMI"
  6. Think he was messing with your mind :)
  7. Happy birthday Drac!
  8. No I believe Wags was eluding to simultaneous releases on Mac OS X and possibly Linux in the near future following in the footsteps of EA and ID Software. :detective:
  9. :cheer3nc:  :xmas:  :prop: :yay:
  10. I fly on there and it's very tempting to just hit the F2 key to find the NOE migs in the hills. But on the downside it seems to get me killed more often.
  11. Ah yes, it's the TACVIEW file no? I can't see the track there unless I'm going blind?
  12. Well that's nice, a lot of us would like the lockon track as I think you said you would provide. What's the big deal sheeeez.
  13. RF 1 track track track, nag nag nag. Have you lost it?
  14. Yes, the last gun fighter :) http://www.cloudnet.com/~djohnson/index.html
  15. Any body have tracks of blinkers in action?
  16. I only use the jammer to disguise a change course, height, etc in the F-15 and trashing a long range EM launch or two. But I have thought that I have seen it in use on 504 169ths and the RAF server, but never having seen a track its a bit hard to tell. It looks like ppl are using it more sparingly, just after going into STT for a second or 2 then turning it off. Is there a track available so that we can see what it actually looks like on MFD in different situations?
  17. Ahh ic lockon bug. I fall to sleep by the time I get half way through the briefs :) You forgot about the advanced ETs too. How fast does one have to strobe the ECM to break lock or trash a missile? Would this do it for a ch stick? TOGGLE( D1 ) = JS2.B4; SEQUENCE WHILE( D1 ) ; CMS.B50 = TRUE; CMS.B50 = FALSE; ENDSEQUENCE
  18. Yes, I don't understand how the SA-11s are getting shots off when there is no Search Radar tracking you first, it seems the first indication is a luanch warning.
  19. Thanks, found this article, guess Db's alone are not enough to distinguish between them. http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/printer_288.shtml
  20. Hi All, This may be an old question but the search feature doesn't appear to be working for the forums ... Anyway the story goes, I was happily flying along at 40000k ft in the 169th server, set up for a max range HOJ attack (AWACS range and hostile declared) when all of a sudden I get a beep beep beep on the TEWS, a 29 symbol appeared on the TEWS display locking me at my 3 o’clock close . I immediately go into a hi G diving spiral decent looking for ET smoke trails (panicking actually), and manage to get visual on the "bogie" once passing through about 8000ft. Lock him up in bore site mode and bingo it's a friendly SU-27, argh! So why does the F-15C TEWs display Migs-29s and Su27/33 as 29s?
