Dont get me wrong, I am not questioning plans or bussiness of ED, I am not agree with the silence about Hind and other projects. If small independend developer answering on questions When like "It´ll be done after I get it done", etc. I totally understand. But is ED a small developer? I really dont think so. If they "had a balls" like I wrote before, step up and tell the truth about Hind and some plans for it, maybe we would not be happy, but at least we would know what we can expect. As a fair answer I would take it humbly. I understand, developing and working on simulator like DCS, is difficult to make and keep up in line but this kind of behavior to customers who spent quite of few money is not right. It is unproffesional and disrespectful. If I take studios around Kingdom Come or Witcher or Mass Effect, there was exceptional communication with comunity. Thinking about strategy and bussiness plans is not everything. What about thinking about being better in comunications to customers?? Today it´s a standart in game world - developers diary, interviews, short documetaries from development. We have nothing and if we ask for something, we get just a answers for children. That is what pissing of me. I am not bouncing my head to table for not having Hind - I am bouncing my head to table for "I dont care" behavior from ED.

Did you noticed? A few studios show up their upcoming aircraft during Christmas. The only thing ED did was hype video (despite everything was great), witch indicate a simple future. After Hornet hypes and his neverending updates, the Falcon will come with same unnecessary turmoil lasting another year or two. Did ED like biggest studio and developer cannot work on other projects (yes - Hind for example - did we not waiting for some info for long time??) and show us some progress? I am tired of Hornet Hornet Hornet Hornet again and again and what I can look forward in 2019? Falcon Falcon Falcon again and again. It´s really shame that developer like ED for last one + years never has the balls to step up and tell some relevant informations about upcoming projects. We were at some serious expectations and now is our thread in chit-chat room???!!! That is ridiculous and after all these years I am not afraid use the word offensive. The only light at the end of a tunnell is upcoming Tomcat I very looking forward. Maybe I will shut up with my sickle for couple of weeks :). Have a nice rest of a Christmas and Hindy new year ;-).

That´s something I though and wanted to write something similar, but I changed my mind on time... But it´s changes nothing on fact that mainly from first ED´s post I feel like he would to say "Screw you, stop asking stupid questions, shut up and be patient." Wich is again nothing we can do about, but much more hurtfull. I mentioned twice that we are not asking release date, but only o few facts about development. Answer is same as everytime. I am sad. Hip does not help me anymore...

As I expected: When it is at a state to start sharing more information we most certainly will. -NineLine/Norm EDIT: We are eager to share everything we are working on, but we need to balance it as well. Razorback, I cant say it better. I think you and I have very similar Hindache :). I am much older guy since I first fly Black Shark years ago (and yes - we all are :-) ). Today, I have at least some awareness or imagination, what ED have to care about and what they must control. I totally understand. But this case is not simply normal. Let´s say, that I have a company for developing some kind of IT stuff and after I make an offer and sign up papers, I never say a word about developing to my customers. Am I looking at it wrong? Yes, its very lighten, but I think I am not wrong. The hoppless fact is, that we cannot do anything. I swear to Hind, that I wrote something on fb after release some update. Not offending but simply questions. It´s nothing, I know, but I think we deserve a little more after all theese years. It is not a monts it is years. Even if they would write We now froze this project, because we join BST to us for use their abilities for our own interests - it would be something we can count with. But i dont think they will be that honest or (more probably) will not respond at all. Maybe we should lift some kind of wave of Hindwanting in public :smilewink: If I would be a troll, hater, or whatever any kind of jerk, I would say - I am your customer, I buying your produtcs, for good sake I am giving you my money and not a little and I am prepare to give you more and the best you can give me for my questions is mockery silence or evasive answers for months and years? Is some kind of politics in it? You dont want to / must not to develop any other "russian stuff" ??? ETC.... I heard some opinions like this :doh: Yes, maybe I would reach something, but I am not this kind of person. Probably it would be a worse and I would make a fool from myself. So let´s be sad and in expectation for next couple of months and years till ED lower themselves to finally give us something about Hind... Hi again... I was silent for couple of monts, but now I cant hold my hands :). I simply dont understand. I think us, Hind lovers, are not only a few. How could be a such a monster problem to face a comunity questions and give us at least some answers? The last info about Hind is from December 2017. Last comunication from BST was 1st June 2018. I know they are part od ED now, but still. In every second post from ED are questions about Hind and we have nothing. If anyone step up and say Yes, we are working on it, we have 3D model and base of cockpits, now it looks like this (picture) but now we are have some problems with this and this and we have to develop this and this and we expecting beta around autumn 2019. I would not say a word. Comunity would be pleased for some information and stay still. BST comunication to fans was not the best for all the time, but it was at least some. I really hoped, that this will be change a little after they become a part of ED. ED should inform comunity about their upcoming projects. Phantom fans are in the same situation, but they saw at least a few pictures of F4. We have litterally nothing to look for. I know that this cry not helping anything and in 30 minutes I will go to make some tea and fire up Hip but...my father is a Hind and Hip pilot and I love to talk about flying and systems Mi-8 in DCS with him. He shares it with me much as he can and I am simply sad and to excited to possibility of Hind in DCS and we have still nothing for years. Who flyes helicopters in P3D knows, that best helicopter for P3D is Dodosim 206 and know they are working on improved HD version of 206. There are a forum and developer is in touch with fans and give them some feedback from developing. Why we cannot have something similar? I dont mean this offensive, I really appreiated they work on Mi-8 and F18 (which I am not interested in much) or other modules, but we are here too. It depends on what historical period you want to simulate. Mi-24 definetly belong 80s and 90s, the times, when Ka50/52 was only as a prototype or times, when Ka50/52 was sending to fights only in very small ammount. Besides those two types works in cooperation till this day in modern conflict - including V or P versions (dont deny more or less modifications). About that - i dont know if it will be a game changer, but I hope so. Maybe I think yes. We have to consider the fact there are many fans, who look up to Mi-24, their armies have this type and that is not only a few fans, I think there are waiting hundreds and hundreds fans for Mi-24 - including me.

I know - stupid question, but - do you have maximum throttle and both generators on?

I can confirm that - playing the Oilfiled campaign and game runs smooth for 5-7 minutes and then stuttering comes. Sling-load operations are almost impossible to do.

You know - I dont want to throw dust on Phantom lovers, I dont want to at all. They are same fans of their type like we are, but it seems they will have infos about making of on regular basis from begining and we have simply nothing. Nothing to look forward. Now I am just sad about fact that we will not have Hind till end 2017, but much more I am curious whats the deal. I really hope that someone from BST read this and try to do at least something about it :)

Yeah, but no one told about cancel Hind project. I believe they are much more further than Phantom with Hind but.... According to a part of interview you posted: They could work on Hind as only next helicopter, but if they are working on Phantom and Hornet, and posting info and pictures about them, I still wondering why they are so quiet about Hind. Every information is better than silence, while their others project are promoting. But I would like to say I dont want to be offensive to BST (I am still excited about Hip), just simply dont understand it and there´s no answer to more and more questions.

I doubt this is a problem. If they are posting info and pictures about phantom, I dont think take four five screens and a few sentences to calm down Hind fans would be a problem. Maybe hyena is right: But again - even in this case would be some info help and fair to a comunity. After all - they would answer to all Why and When question and take down that fence of silence. And in my case, I would be nice and patient Hind fan again :-).

Yes but this is the first time I read something from BST about release of Mi-24. Still wondering, how comes they post pictures of F-4, which they said that they just start work on, and dont post some pictures of Mi-24 which is developed for months/years. But that is infinite question :). The truth is, that this year BST comunicating to comunity much much more than ever and that is good.

I´ve done some another testing with my father next to me (test pilot Mi-8 and Mi-24), with the real checklist and real flight manual. I apologize for little miscounting. Only thing I can confirm right now is very slow increasing RPM of main rotor till around 40%. Because is too slowly, "Auto ignition ON" goes off very very late, real pilots would interupt startup long time before. This should not take a long time with testing at Belsimtek itself to see my point, so I hope they will fix this, or write some explanation. Thank you Jiri

Hello all, I would like to ask if anybody has problems I have during startup: - ignition time - push zapusk button and there is 4-5 seconds hang till revolutions start rising - "Autostart Acitve" indicator - according to flight manual it should be off till 30 seconds. In my case it´s about 40 - engine temeprature during startup - it reaches almost 850°. According to flight manual it should be 780° (in last Mi-17 I saw (my father) it was 650 - 700) - engine accelerations - according to flight manual it should be 3-6 seconds. In simulator is this value almost 10 seconds, with noticed hang at half of way to top and from there is 5-7 % difference between engines till reaching the top. - reaching idle after startup - it should be 60 seconds according to flight manual. In simulator is 70 - 80 seconds. Except ignition and acceleration is everything reason for interrupt startup. I wasnt fly Mi-8 for about 4 months, now I let DSC update what it wants and suddenly theese problems appear. I never met theese problems before. Tested at Sochi = almost sea level, outside temperature 16°, Summer season, "engine conditions" is 90%. Could someone confirm my "research" ?:) Thank you Jiri

Hello, I wasnt fly Mi-8 couple of last months. Yesterday I updated and go for some practics with Hip. I have two knowledges - maybe questions for developers: First: During AI-9V startup smoke and fire came out from exhoust but after a few seconds smoke freeze for another few seconds and then just dissapeared. It´s definitely not a big problem, but I noticed, so I want to share. Second: Everytime I fly with Hip in DCS I have to say that most exciting thing is pre-flight check and startup :-). And very slow banking during start up first engine which is very real (in Mi-24 is much biger I really looking forward to it :-) ). But after last updates this slow shake suddenly change to low amplitude fast shaking and that should not be like that. I never report some things like theese are, so I just simply please to fix or explanation. Thank you, have a nice weekend Jiri

So a little progress: Everytime I change some value in labels.lua, labels in game was never shown. So I replace it by a labels.lua from my last year instalation. Labels visibility are same as I want, but instead marking dot is another symbol but I can live with that. Thanks for your help, have a nice weekend. Jiri

Hello, kill me if you must and if you dont using labels :). I dont use DCS for couple of monts (since february I guess). I have a time now, so I fire it up, install updates and i Su-25T campaign I noticed, that labels (especially blue) have a very low contrast against ground. Months ago I can be sure with labels help, where enemy position is,it was helping with targeting by skhval, but now I just cannot see a thing. Is there any option to set labels contrast little up? Hello guys, cause I dont want to let slightly dissapear this topic, I would like to share a little progress here. Fortunately I find someone, who can borrow me PSU and RAM. So first of all, I had try to fix my broken Win10 to see if my Win7 doesnt do this fault. No change, crash a fer a few seconds flight in DCS, crash everytime save in Witcher3. Next I tried to move my games to other discs, SSD, HDD no difference, still crash. So I tried change my RAM for my friends and nothing change, still crash. BUT!!! I return my RAM, change PSU and everything going well and smooth for 3 days with no crash. I just want to ask you - PSU is in in guarantee for 4 months but I am not sure what proof I can use to show that my PSU is broken, has anyone some advice? Jiri

I will make test what BitMaster suggest tommorow maybe, I am out of time for it now. Year and half ago I changed my motherboard, i need it for new graphic card and buy a new power suplly for it, like I mentioned before in this thread. But how can I find out faulty psu, when I havent other? Is there any software to watch that? And when I did some test like you guys adviced, everything was ok, temperatures, voltage, and this stuff. Why for god sake the crash did not appears during benchmarks and stress tests?? Why I cannot simulated error situation? Why it appears only in DCS sim or Witcher game? I am sorry guys, I am so unhappy... I clean my machine every two three months, last time it was 3 weeks ago. I have updated everything I can, try rollback windows and it´s the same. Definitely I can make a clean instalation of everything, but without any clues and any assurance that it will be ok.

Hello, no bigger progress. My PC start restarting in Witcher 3 too. I found out, that it happened when the game make save game. Not everytime during saving, but if my pc crashes, is it everytime during saving. So is anyone who agree with me, that could be hard drive or memory? After move DCS to other disk (SSD), crashes dissapeared (I flew a few mission 6-8 hrs total with no crash). Now I will try same thing with Witcher. Witcher is now on disk,which I chekced with HD Tune Pro but no problem - everything is fine and game still crashes. Could anyone give me advice what it could be? Or confirm me foulty disk or memories? Thank you Jiri
