  1. Sadly still having problems to get VP to work with my Warthog HOTAS and DCS. The VP log is showing I'm understood but it doesn't seem to get through to DCS as there is no response. I've added an entry to the profile to make the gear operate and that seems to work fine, it's just all the radio commands that are ignored. Anyone know of an obvious mistake I might be making??
  2. Oops Should have been running as Administrator. All OK now.
  3. Sorry to put this here as well as to Hollywoods support contact. I've just purchased VAICOMPRO and keen to get this working. I’m unable to see any profiles when I run Voiceattack, almost certainly because my DCS is in a different drive to the C: drive and Vaicompro is not initialising. You suggest ways around it in your manual but they depend on being able to access your “Configuration” menu, which I can’t as it hasn’t installed yet. Catch 22 Anyway around that?? Thanks in advance.
  4. Mine is in my C/Users/ {my name}/Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Config/Input/A-10C/joystick/Joystick............lua
  5. Sorry should have been more clear. I have checked the controllers in the windows app, but from the drop down I can pull down and assign a new button, but it simply doesn't function in game.
  6. Well I'm glad you sorted your's out, but with my Warthog I still have a major problem in 2.5 Whilst the control works well, when I try and assign a new function to a button press it does not respond at all. I am unable to change any button functions. Those that are already assigned work ok but I cannot change them.
  7. As above let it plug in and go play with it. But I've always found I need to check the assigns in game as I always need to reassign the trim to the stick top hat. Additionaly you'll have some spares. From memory,S4 on the stick, Button 1 and 2 on the throttle are all available and not used by default. Enjoy your Warthog, simply the best stick for A10-C :thumbup:
  8. I think that you should also point out that this only works at the moment for those VR users with a Nvidia GPU. Hopefully it will be available to those of us with AMD cards at a later stage. (fingers crossed)
  9. That resolution setting has no affect on what you see in the HMD. Ensure you have "Auto detect Oculus Rift" box ticked in Options then close and restart DCS, with your Vive powered up. I don't have to start SteamVR, it auto starts.
  10. Thanks Hollywood. I should have made it clearer. I was on a Instant action trying with Easy Comms OFF and Vaicom was working correctly but no response from my wingman to any commands. Also none from ATC even though I had the correct frequency and overflew the airfield?? I checked the radio freqs but not the I/C panel so I'll take a look at that.
  11. I think I've found out why I was getting "Invalid Radio" most of the time. I've got a UK Keyboard and in order to get the \ key to work using Vaicom in game I have to add to the General settings in the options list, OEM102 (the name of that key on my keyboard) as an additional key to the \ key. May help others with the same keyboard. Now I don't know why but if I select Easy Comms off, although I am transmitting messages properly, nobody, including ATC are responding (even if using the F keys) Seems to work OK with Easy comms on. (and yes with it off I have checked I'm using the correct frequency.)
  12. The two in the OP were taken at the same time of day but someone added a third to show what it looked like with a third party mod, and that one was at a different time.
  13. Oops You are right!! I must have accidentaly left Flat Shadows OFF. I've now edited the OP to show Tree Shadows. Thanks :megalol:
  14. Though I'd recreate one of the update views that Wags put in his recent post (here) and show them side by side for comparison. The "present" one was taken in 1.54 beta with everything on max at approximately the same spot and at about the same time of day. Present View Version 2.5 View Looks far nicer I think......:pilotfly:
  15. No not alone Dogman. That happens to me quite a bit and have yet to get to the bottom of this problem.
  16. Yes I agree, having to started Win speech recognition and then use something like wordpad is laborious but as far as I can see, it's the only way to do it.
  17. Thanks Hollywood. Yes that's me LOL Infamous.... Doing all the above and have sent you PM Thanks a lot Loz
  18. Yes thanks for this. I have been using a "renderTargetMultiplier" : 2, in my Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings and with the in game multiplier in Elite Dangerous set to .65 it gave a much improved FR and AA. I had assumed that the slider in DCS did the same (ie: to offset the 2.0 in vrsettings with .5 on the slider) but after seeing your post, did a test and with 2 in the vrsettings I sure enough get much better AA and clear text but it kills the FR as the .5 in the game settings does not offset it. Come on AMD, want to see what your 490x is going to be like. (time for an upgrade) :noexpression:
  19. Sorry Hollywood, I've read all of this thread and I'm still only getting my wingman to respond to "Rejoin" every now and again but most of my transmissions are not being understood. I start the sortie with "Start Mission" I hold the transmit in for a good while, I've run Win 10 speech recognition 3 times and still very poor success rate. That is with a normal headset. I have even less success with my Vive. I'm getting a bit frustrated now on what is I'm sure a great piece of software and profile. Anything you can recommend?? Cheers :(
  20. Dr Phibes, have you released the RAF Training scheme for the L model yet, and if so where? Edit: Disregard I've found it in 1.54 Beta. Thanks for a great skin. Well deserved Rep added :)
  21. If you look through this thread and many others, you will find that a lot of people comment on their performance and make no mention of their Spec making their comments virtually useless to others trying to gauge relative performance. It takes two minutes to make a change to ones profile signature to show at least CPU and GPU. That is the point I was making.
  22. Well I don't know what is different with your setup vs mine but I can definitely use the camera whilst in DCS I have tested it on 1.5, 1.54 Beta and 2.02. You must, of course, have it enabled in the Camera settings of SteamVR specifically the "Allow Camera For Room View (System Button Double Click) It is then selectable with a double press of the "System Button" on either of the controllers, (if you have them turned on) or more usefully, the one on the left side of the HMD. I've tried taking a pic through the HMD eyepiece to show it with my Iphone but it's difficult and doesn't look very good, but it certainly works very well. It works well enough that it makes typing easy in things like Elite Dangerous Galaxy map, when entering a Star System in the index.
  23. Pretty sure he means if you have used the HMD already to do a "walk around"
  24. People putting up performance details without showing at least what CPU and GPU they have is a total waste of time. Get them added to your sig please.
