My Crossfire 2 x R9290x is only working on the primary, nothing on the second card. (EDIT: This was before we all found out it was running in Borderless Window mode by default) Did you set anything in the CCC to get it to work? I think you'll find that until DirectX 12 only the memory on the primary card is addressed. (This has always been the case for both SLI and Crossfire.)
-
Yes thanks I followed the instructions for the CMD install and it worked for me too. :)
-
Check your module manager and I think you'll find they are there but with no activation serial numbers and because the net is so busy you can't update them, or at least that's what I think is the problem with mine. Anyone know of a way to insert the serials without connecting??
-
Okay I've discovered why I can't fly anything but the 25T. That's because the modules although loaded had no serial no:s attached and I couldn't do anything to solve that. Now like the others above I can't input the modules via the net probably cause it's too busy. But still no sign of the second card in crossfire working?? Doesn't seem to be any settings that affect it. Perhaps has to be started with an addition to the command?? (Oh and I am trying in Fullscreen)

Trying to get into my cockpit of the A10c on instant action but does not allow. I can watch the AI fly it but F1 key has no effect. Same when I create a mission. A10C module is loaded. Also my second card (Crossfire) is not functioning. ??

I think the vertical rate of descent should be approximately 5 times you GROUND SPEED for a 3 degree approach. :) But even more accurate would be GS x5 plus 10%.

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

2 x MSI Lightning 290x @ 1080 Mhz with EK Waterblock (not crossfired for A10C Roll on EDGE!!) -
Is that you in the video. If it is, it looks very much like the DK1 which is only 1280x800.

Yup Just 2 MSAA but after reading your observation, been back and compared the Screenshot on my PC compared to that from imgbox and there is a slight softening. Don't know why. What I can say is that it's the best looking A10C that I've ever reproduced and that's including Dell IPS monitors (24" and 30") As for the touch screen I haven't decided yet. The monitor is vast and I can't place the touch screen physically below it, and with the screen to one side it is too far to reach without a stretch. (and I have long arms) Added to that, my CPU and GPU would be pushed to run the res required to output Helios and maintain a decent frame-rate. I shall have to experiment, but it looks like the end for Loz's Profile for me.

I've already got the second watercooled 7970 so I've been waiting patiently for Edge for a while now. I hope the transfer rate is not a problem as I've already seen some great 4k on my monitor, running on Xfire. Crysis although very taxing looked superb so did Bioshock Infinite. Thing is of course you don't need high MSAA with this sort of resolution, 2x is plenty. 3840x2160 screenshot above was with 2xMSAA and looks pretty good to these old eyes. :)

No I didn't see any at all. It's running through the DP output at 60Hz. It varied of course but my standard check has always been, instant action/Easy-East Georgia-Spring, as soon as it comes on Autopilot on, TGP on and watch the fps for the run over Waypoint 2. With this I was getting 40 FPS with the borrowed 290x (single GPU) at 3840x2160, the rest of my setup is in my sig. This is with all settings on high and Mirrors down. I'm very pleased. It even makes flying the Huey easier somehow. :)

Saw what you did here, oh over 6 months ago, now Greg and was just waiting for a decent sized 4k monitor that did 60Hz to come out. Well it finally did here in UK on 1 May and I bought this straight away. http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/viera-televisions/led/tx-50ax802b.html I reasoned that a 50inch would be, in terms of real estate approx the same as taking my four previous 24 in monitors and putting them in a square setup, but without the bezels. Trying this convinced me to go for it and I haven't been disappointed. Like you I've kept the touch display for general use but haven't integrated it into DCS yet. (not sure that I will) Here is my layout now And here is a full screen ingame screenshot. You can just make out that this is at 32fps with every thing set on max, mirrors and TGP on, but I was borrowing an AMD R9 290x to try out, rather than my usual HD 7970. The rest of my spec is in my Sig. It is super smooth and looks beautiful. Roll on Edge. Cost substantially more that your set, £1899, but along with the 6 year warranty and the excellent reviews that it's had, I think it is great value (ie: a lot cheaper) compared to the dedicated 31" monitors by Dell and ASUS and a lot larger for sure. It is also excellent for general windows use too, as you can layout the equivalent of four full size 1920x1080 windows for viewing. As a TV it is probably the best that I have ever owned with a fantastic picture and many great features. Of course there is virtually no 4K content yet, but that's not why I bought it. All in all, I am very pleased that you gave me this idea all that time ago.

Don't know why I don't get email notification of this thread (probably haven't subscribed) BUT I may well have to take you up on your kind offer Cowboy, especially if you get DK2
-
This looks sooooo good, I am finding it hard to resist the DK2. Come on CV1 show yourself.............
-
I'm in!! Hello all. :) :smilewink:
-
Very very tempting. Palmer had said at an interview earlier this year, that the DK2 and CV1 would be the same just one released earlier than the other. But see this VIDEO When interviewed with Endgadget, at 3:10 he specifically says that "DK2 is NOT the consumer version." "If you are not a Developer do NOT buy it" (his emphasis to camera, not mine) "CV is going to have Higher Resolution, lower weight, higher framerate, and will be better in so many ways." ".......CV will be 90Hz or higher" Methinks, a new higher res OLED screen is for definite and for that alone I am going to punish myself and wait for the CV, just hope it's not too long.

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
This is where mine is ""\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Cockpit\Scripts\AN_ALR69V\indicator good luck -
Ooops Well that solves that then doesn't it. I don't usually have water at more than medium. With my multi screens it does have a big hit. Thanks for pointing it out though. :)
-
After Wags' cryptic comment : "You may also notice another improvement..." I am not really up on the new model SU-33, but the water around the carrier, plus the wake and wave look very different. Shot in game using Edge perhaps???
-
Well I for one would really love to have a 4k 55 inch to run my A10-C with but as you point out in your other thread, with regard to other uses, a monitor that does it through the latest DP or HDMI cables with a higher refresh rate would be best. So I'll keep my eyes open for something like that. In the UK Samsung is making a 55" 4K TV for just under £3K which would do the job (I think, Tech details in the manual don't say what version of HDMI they are using) but for now that will have to remain a pipe dream :( By the way why are the textures in your picture of the A10 so "weathered"?

How-To: Set up a 4-screen, T-shaped display in DCS
Loz replied to GregP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That's a good point that you make, maybe I installed a later version! What version of SoftTH are you using? The latest one that I know of is the 2.08b which you can get here -
How-To: Set up a 4-screen, T-shaped display in DCS
Loz replied to GregP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This may be worth a try because I'm sure that I was having this same problem when 1.2.7 first came out and I installed SoftTH. I think I cured it by uninstalling both the .dll and the config, and then re-installing. Hope it works for you as mine works as expected with 1.2.7 now. -
No there is no way that I know of and the question has been asked before of Gadroc (the maker of Helios) What you could do is place your monitors one on top of the other and put the resulting combined resolution in the Graphics setup. This should allow you to see the flight instruments in the lower screen. A bit like here except he is using a wide screen monitor on top.
-
Nice. When I first looked at your picture, I thought Wow what a big monitor, but then noticed the "Lilliput" on the secondary monitor and the size relative to the top of the keyboard that's just visible. Great setup though. :)

Just put up a 9 min video showing my setup running the Huey on four screens using SoftTH. Not too much laughing, please, over my flying skills, or lack of them. I do have proof that I was a much better pilot when I was younger. Honestly. :music_whistling: As some, who have used my profile, will know that I'm an advocate of Helios, but with no useable data downloads I've resorted to SoftTH to enable my touch screen to be used.
