Don't know why people keep saying he's using SLI. I have had confirmation from Tribalinstinct that this was single card (980ti) as he has sold the second card. In any case Steam VR does not use SLI yet.

DCS on the Vive This guy called Tribalinstincts won a Vive Pre in a competition and has demoed lots of games on YT. This is his attempt to get DCS running, but be warned he is very new to DCS. However shows it does run. Watching it now for the first time so don't blame me if it's rubbish. LOL Edit: Well as forecast he didn't have a clue but you can see that it does work with DCS and in second part with ED Elite Dangerous.

How do I get Black Shark 2 to run with the 1.5 Beta. I own and have the serial for BS1 (download version) and also the upgrade to BS2 but try as I may I cannot get it installed and running on DCS 1.5. Can anyone please give me a step by step guide on how to do this,.

Is that the full on stutter where it almost freezes between frames (which is what I get with model visibility ON) or the micro stutter. If it's the later I still get that.
-
Probably not being updated automatically. I had to run the updater manually to get it to update.

If you have changed your AMD drivers recently, check that you've enabled CrossfireX for Applications without a profile. (As per note 2 in first post of this thread) A mistake that I made :music_whistling:
-
Yes I am definitely running in true full screen with CrossfireX. When it is enabled and running (as confirmed by Afterburner), having Model Visiblility= ON causes massive "stuttering" / dropped frames. (again confirmed by the Frametime graph in Afterburner) Yes it does disappear when going back to borderless window because then you have disabled CrossfireX. (It cannot run in a Window, borderless or not) :(

The Model Visibility ON/OFF option is in the panel to the right of the main options page. (System ... Graphics)
-
Well done Pappen!! That stops the MEGA stuttering in Crossfire (Turn off Model Visibility) Many thanks. :D

Thank you very much. That was exactly the fault. :)

Catalyst 15.9 Beta and Crossfire with 1.5?? Anyone else using Catalyst 15.9 Beta with 1.5 and having problems with getting it into Fullscreen and hence Crossfire working? The drivers installed and are working OK with other titles but now in 1.5 I can not get it to go to Fullscreen!! Left or Right ALT with ENTER "flashes" the screen as if it is changing but it doesn't and stays as a Borderless window. Anyone else??

I've just tried setting FRTC to 60 (took me a google search to find that it was a recent addition to the Performance section of CCC) and tested it out in one of the A-10C training missions (where the stutter with Xfire is absolutely dire) to no effect. All other settings and driver as SkateZilla's above. Still trying to get to the cause of this :book:

LAlt works for me too but don't count out RAlt + Enter, as some have got it to work with that combo. Could be a motherboard, GPU or Windows version thing.
-
Could well be, don't know for sure BUT I tell you what we could do with!! Someone from ED to make it plain what we need to do to get 1.5 working with Crossfire!! What's the use of having a Bug and Problems forum if nobody from ED replies in them.

I think you should point out to people that it may be Left Alt plus Enter that's required to get into proper Full Screen mode, as for a lot that works (myself included) not Right Alt plus Enter. Even following your instructions and after getting Crossfire running, the Stuttering is a show stopper for not only me. Any reason for this?
-
Welcome to wonderful Crossfire......................... (Anyway at least you now can get it on, perhaps we'll get a fix for the stuttering sometime.)
-
Can we set a command line parameter for proper Full Screen startup?
Loz replied to Loz's topic in DCS Core Wish List
No, you would have thought so wouldn't you but all it selects is a Borderless Window which stops SLI/Crossfire second GPU from functioning. :( -
All maxed with only DOF off, I'm getting 80 -100 FPS in IA on A10C (top sortie selection) That's with Crossfire enabled (LAlt + Enter to ensure full screen) where previously on Single Gpu same sortie I used to get 30-40 FPS 50" Panasonic TV as monitor at 60hz, and looks fantastic. Only down side is dreadful stuttering that I've yet to cure!!
-
Have you tried left Alt and Enter? Right Alt Enter did nothing on mine but the left worked. For some stupid reason the default setting is Borderless Window and Crossfire will not work in a window.
-
Picking a theme doesn't stop the stuttering in game though, unfortunately. :(
-
Anyone found the cure for this? I get massive stuttering when in Crossfire with one exception, Instant action Huey in the Hover it's solid as a rock and only occurs when I get going. Happens with or without DOF. Shame because it's otherwise spoiling a greatt FPS increase now that Crossfire works. GPU driver 15.7 Rig in Sig. Edit: Fixed eventually. Some have already discovered thsi but here is a summary. 1. Make sure you are running in Fullscreen mode by pressing LALT (OR RALT) + ENTER. 2. If you can, monitor the performance by using something like MSI Afterburner, to ensure both GPUs are working If they are not it could be that you need to tick the "Enable AMD CrossfireX for applications that have no associated application profile" in the AMD Catalyst Control Center/Gaming/AMD CrossfireX section. 3. And most importantly (as this takes away the mega Stuttering) in DCS World 1.5 Open Beta Options, set MODEL VISIBILITY to OFF. Thanks go to Skatzilla and Pappen for their help (Reps inbound :P) This has been tested with AMD Catalyst Drivers 15.9.1 Beta.

It was Left ALT + ENTER that gave me FullScreen and brought my second card into play (That is the standard key combo for it, not RALT) but I am now getting horrendous stuttering, which I've yet to find out what is the cause. (Not cause by Depth of Field) Using 15.7 AMD drivers
