Yes, I have been practicing attacking a defended airfield against ZSU's SA 3 ad SA 9's and if you come in low and fast it is very survivable. I am just trying to find the sweet spot in altitude that allows for the Mk 82S to arm before they hit the ground but is low enough to not get launched on. JD AKA_MattE

YoYo have you found a minimum for the Mk.82S? It seems online if I drop them very low they dont go off. JD AKA_MattE

Landing last night at Beslan was spooky, no runway lights and once I was down all I wanted to do was shut off my Nav and gear lights to not attract attention. Then having the choppers flying in and out while I was refueling gave the whole thing great immersion and feel of landing at a just captured airbase. Great stuff! JD AKA_MattE

I have the same issue and another member of my squad as well. Only happens with the F-15, every other module runs smoothly. It is more pronounced online for me. JD AKA_MattE

I have been killed repeatedly from the front by R-3R's launched by Mig 21's and I thought it is suppose to be rear aspect only as well, but the R-3R is quite efficient at front aspect kills. That being said I find the match up against the Mig 21 is a lot fun right now. JD AKA_MattE

Did it last night, needed to see how a Mig was able to sneak up on me, the Tacview matched the track very closely, certainly enough to show how he was able to get in on my 4 undetected and where I made mistakes. I can see if you played for hours on end it could be a problem but I got into the habit of rebooting on a regular basis when there was the memory leak so now I still do it (or the game crashes) so I can segment the tracks. Works for me, your results may vary. JD AKA_MattE

You guys know that you can just play the track from your sortie on that server and then use Tacview right? It takes a little time but it works fine. JD AKA_MattE

I suggest going with a TV. I am at HD resolution on my TV (1920 X 1080) and DCS 1.5 and 2.0 look awesome. I could use NVIDIA DSR to scale it up (which I do with COD and BOS) but it looks so good at 1920 X 1080 that I don't even bother. As for the Snake.. I honestly wish I could turn it off. But that is some good advice and great screen shots PiedDroit, I will work on using the snake to predict where my shells as going to fly. JD AKA_MattE

I have had the same issue, except my game has crashed a couple of times instead of recovering from the freeze. Sometimes it runs smoothy sometimes it is a lag fest and big freezes. I hope after 2.0 becomes offical they will spend some time on the net code. On a side note I have been getting smaked around by the R3, even in head on shots a couple of times. I think our Mig driving friends have taken a shine to that missle and the IFF feature. JD AKA_MattE

RGR I have been doing it the same way, but I dont have the 530 mapped yet so I am much slower to lock and fire. Any luck with 530 shots other than head on? So far I can just hit head on targets. JD AKA_MattE

I had the same issue and the Alt + Enter worked. Just a note I have "full Screen" checked in the graphics options. JD AKA_MattE

The satellite images don't do it justice, besides those are shot at a considerable height, we will be flying much lower. Search any park or monument I mentioned and look at the images, that will give you an idea what I am talking about (or to the left of the nose of that F-16). The screen shots look very monochrome, but they also seem to be shot when the sun is low in the sky to show the awesome shadows so I think that has something to do with it. JD AKA_MattE

I know that the NTTR map is still a WIP but I was wondering if the colors of the map were going to be tweaked? The reason I ask is that I live fairly close to that area and travel down there constantly, the colors I have seen in the many screen shots and videos are not quite accurate. there is more red in the rocks (check out Valley of fire State Park which is less than 50 miles from Nellis). Also the area around Charleston peak is a forest so it should be somewhat green and a lot of the sand is lighter in color, more like a dirty cream color especially in the washes, also the shoreline around Lake Mead that has been below the water line in the past is white and forms a distinct ring that can be seen from the air easily. The eastern area of that map is one of the most beautiful places in the country, there are two national parks, (Zion and Bryce) and three National Monuments (Cedar Breaks, Grand Canyon - Parashant and part of Grand Staircase Escalante ) not to mention numerous state parks and wilderness areas; The Tushar mountains to the east of Beaver are over 12,000 feet high. On the Nevada side of the map there is Red Rock Canyon Nation Conservation Area and Lake Mead National recreation Area, both of which are quite stunning from 30K feet in the air, not to mention Nevada is the most mountainous state in the US. I know it is a flight sim and we are not there to sight see, but I hope there is an improvement in the colors so the area can be more accurately represented. Please take my post with the utmost respect, I truly enjoy DCS and only want to help make it better, but the area represented in this map is very close to my heart and I would love to see it look incredible in DCS!
