You guys are killing me, I am sitting at work... Can't wait! JD AKA_MattE

I have seen my RAM usage go over 9 GB, if you dont have a ton of RAM having and SSD will help, but I would concentrate on RAM (first) and a card that has lots of VRAM (second) if you are going to upgrade. JD AKA_MattE

Blue Flag's Round 8 is up for testing in the server. YES! I was starting to have some serious withdraws! JD AKA_MattE

Five mile? ;) Just kidding. Impressive with the Mig, I am lucky to get them in a 50 meter radius, guess I need to practice more. JD AKA_MattE

I would think both sides having the Mustang would work out. There are some good Russian camo skins for the Mustang that would make it very distinguishable from a bare metal Mustang. I am really looking forward to Korea, I think it will be a blast. On a side note, Sniper are you really in UT? JD AKA_MattE

[CLOSED] Slanted side view when using TiR in latest 1.5.4. OB.
Jugdriver replied to Art-J's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
This worked for me. I deleted the options.lua and relaunched DCS (wile changing a parameter in the options each time) several times without success and then pulled the deleted file from the recycle bin and added the lines and put the file back in and was up and running. I actually have had this issue for a while with the stable build but there was a work around, now I know the fix. JD AKA_MattE -
(as mentioned above) ATM there is no IR/Radar slave, so even though your radar has a lock and can give you range guidance the IR seeker may or may not be locked on the target (no tone no lock). At the point where you have a radar lock on the target try to maneuver so to position him near the top center of the HUD (the boresight cross not the CCM boresight) and the IR seeker will pick him up and you will get tone. Sometimes If I have visual on the target and have cleared to engage him with IFF I will forgo the radar lock and just lock him with the IR seeker and estimate the range, it keeps his RWR from lighting up with a hard lock. RGR, With the lack of updates from ED I have started to lose track of what has been fixed internally, updated or not. Thanks JD AKA_MattE

I think they are still working on it, though there has been improvement from a couple of patches ago. That being said I still see situations where the target has not notched but the radar loses lock (usually while in TWS/PID mode) for no apparent reason. JD AKA_MattE

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 7

I agree as well. Red is more coordinated than Blue, don’t get me wrong we (Blue) can get our $hit together and we have good GCI’s but I think Red consistently is able to coordinate well and make strong gains because of it. The pressure that Zero 1 and friends were able to put on Sochi the beginning of the last day was tremendous. JD AKA_MattE -
I have been killed by folks flying Mig 21's firing R60 M's from the front multiple times back when the Mig 21 vs Mirage servers were popular (when the Mirage was new). One of the guys even commented that he was surprised he was able to lock and hit me with it, I am not sure if LN toned it down since but they certainly have good performance for a "limited aspect" missile. I am feeling pretty confident we are going to see an all aspect AIM 9P4 as Mattebubben mentioned it fits for the time frame of the Tiger II. JD AKA_MattE

Did I miss the new Hud Scan? Ahhh, helps to read! JD AKA_MattE

Ohhh good idea, though I have added it to my start up procedure there have been a few DOH's! JD AKA_MattE

IN! Looking forward to dueling with Mig 21's! JD AKA_MattE

I have a quick question regarding adding these lines to the keyboard and Joystick .lua files does it mess up those files when there is an update to the Mirage? JD AKA_MattE

And Nice Job Thunder! JD AKA_MattE

Greg, Xcom, Ciribob you are doing a great job, keep it up. Thank you! JD AKA_MattE

No Worries Zeus, the Mirage is still my favorite ride. Thanks! JD AKA_MattE

I have had the same issue, I notice if a target was locked then dropped it will not switch modes so I cycle the RDO and it works again. Just remember all this practice with the radar, acquiring targets and then reacquiring them is going to make us really fast! JD AKA_MattE

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 5
Jugdriver replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
I believe they want to off so that unscrupulous folks cant exploit it, not for realism. I have my fingers crossed that there will be a fix/update for IC and maybe even a fix for this exploit tomorrow with an update. If there is a fix for this exploit then the enlargement will be turned to small, at least that's how I understand it. JD AKA_MattE -
Hi 104th guys, I don't think the 104th website registration is working, I tried to make an account and it told me that it sent a registration email but I never received it (it is not in the spam folder either). I have tried to resend the confirmation email with no success and I double checked the address and it is correct. Thanks JD AKA_MattE

Maybe they were not paying attention, or you were very sneaky... :) 7 miles for ClOD and around 4 miles for BOS, so 20 Km for the impostor would be farther, but remember the speed differential in the aircraft (WWII vs modern jets) makes a huge difference. The short rendering in BOS is unrealistic IMO. They way I look at it is that at 20kn or 10 miles you had a fighting chance, I take it you were lower than the MK2, F15 and A10 so they were silhouetted against they sky and you where against the ground, so much harder to see? I can see how the impostor makes it easier to see those contacts at 10 miles, but isn't that the point, easy or not? Dont get me wrong, as it is now the enlargement/impostor system is not is not ideal and I really expect ED to improve it, but the ability to spot an aircraft at 20km/10 miles (and not much farther) without having to zoom in substantially I think is a better scenario than the normal visuals where those contact would have been invisible without you zooming in considerably, but that is just my opinion.
