  1. I have never seen anything like that with the enlargement... I wounder if folks are seeing different things because of different graphic set up/resolutions? IMO I like the small enlargement, it works well on my system. They ground impostors are not ridiculous and really only are visible on flat terrain, and the air impostors are very small and only show briefly before the regular rendering comes into effect, but I am starting to think results may vary.   2. Hi Greg, what people are looking for is a definitive statement that LEAVU and SA enhancement mods like it and armament mods are strictly forbidden. I know you just said it and Xcom said it as well, but it is not on the Buddy Spike Blue Flag page and it is not in the SOP yet, or on the Blue Flag 6 announcement post. Please understand this is not a complaint but an observation born of well over a decade of campaigning in various sims, if you don’t spell it out completely and definitively casual mod users will claim ignorance and use these mods. I know that there is nothing at the moment you can do to enforce it thru the server but by making it abundantly clear that mods are not allowed and considered cheating you will then force people who use them to either participate fairly or cheat since you make it very clear that according to you guys, the producers of Blue Flag, using these mods is considered cheating. Again I know that you can’t enforce it at the moment and that some folks will cheat, but they will also have to face that fact and it will keep at least some people from using them.   6. Yeah I am getting weird stuff with the Radar as well, both with BVR and CCM. It seems that in CCM mode I cant get it to cycle thru the different Radar parameters like it did before, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am trying to see if a key binding is interfering with it since the last patch, but so far I havent been able to track anything down. I have also seen the same issue nomdeplume is, however if I cycle thru the RIO on the PCA panel it seems to reset the radar, though it is still a major pain since any delay in locking a target is bad news at best...   7. Yeah this is a real bummer, I am hoping the "improved multiplayer with dedicated server support" in the 2016 roadmap addresses this. A combination of the present system, a moving ground supply system and a supply system that Sierra proposed would be really cool, pushing each side into more interdiction and adding more complexity to the campaign, though the present system is really good with the limits placed on DCS by its netcode, if you don't coordinate you have a hard time taking targets. On a side note, but talking about Lag, is there a way to test if a specific module causes Lag? The reason I asked was that yesterday I was flying around Sochi and there were 2 Hueys flying around and both were rubber-banding all over the place. Nobody on the server has a ping higher than 245 (and there was only 12 or so players) and neither of the Huey players were over 150. JD AKA_MattE

  9. No, I think the Mig is better in a turn fight as long as it is under 850 KPH, once things get faster the Mig does not have the control to stay with the Saber. Over all though the matchup, Mig 15 vs F-86 is one of the classics, like Spit 1a vs 109 E4, they two planes are very closely matched but are superior to each other in different ways so it becomes a game of trying to force your opponent to play your game while not playing his. The best part of campaigning is that the situations are very different than what you find in a dogfight server, the overall objectives requires folks to compromise their aircraft's strengths to achieve the objectives and the interaction of ground units, ground ponders and air defense cause a very dynamic situations (and lots of FUN). The one thing I think will come out of a Korean campaign is the fact that the Saber is a true multi role fighter and it excels at it. I am already thinking of a Korea take 2 with the Mig 21 vs F5, that would be a blast as well. JD AKA_MattE
  10. Yes she is very competitive in MP, just remember you don't have as many missiles so you either need to get in close for guns (which she excels at) or break contact once you have taken your shots. Once we get Auto lock she will be even better. JD AKA_MattE

  12. The Flack in DCS can be a bit much for WWII aircraft, that looked like it was radar guided flack (the bursts were really close). JD AKA_MattE

  14. I would like to make a request and a suggestion. Can you please roll back the Operation Blue Flag 5 map so that there are more Blue bases available? I know the round is over and it is just for fun/practice/test but there are only 2 bases on the map for blue now. I would also like to suggest that you make multiple fighting areas on the map during the in-between time before OBF 6. For example split area’s 4 and 5 between Red and Blue so that the red have everything from Sukhumi airfield to Sochi airfield and the Blues have from the Sukhumi-Babushara / Senaki-Kolkhi FARP down to Batumi, then do something similar around PAK’s 1 and 2 and then Split PAK 3 down the middle. This will give short flights, good practice sessions and lots of fun before the next round. Thanks JD AKA_MattE

  16. There is the ACG JETS server which is MK2 vs Mig 21 that is a lot of fun, but just a dogfight server. You will find some very skilled Mig 21 pilots on there so it is really fun. There is also the BASIC or BASIS (I cant remember what it is called) server which has the Mig 21 and Mig 29's and ground attackers like A-10's and Su-25's along with AI fighters, L-39's and AI bombers.   17. Yes, I have been practicing attacking a defended airfield against ZSU's SA 3 ad SA 9's and if you come in low and fast it is very survivable. I am just trying to find the sweet spot in altitude that allows for the Mk 82S to arm before they hit the ground but is low enough to not get launched on. JD AKA_MattE
  18. YoYo have you found a minimum for the Mk.82S? It seems online if I drop them very low they dont go off. JD AKA_MattE
  19. Landing last night at Beslan was spooky, no runway lights and once I was down all I wanted to do was shut off my Nav and gear lights to not attract attention. Then having the choppers flying in and out while I was refueling gave the whole thing great immersion and feel of landing at a just captured airbase. Great stuff! JD AKA_MattE

  23. I have been killed repeatedly from the front by R-3R's launched by Mig 21's and I thought it is suppose to be rear aspect only as well, but the R-3R is quite efficient at front aspect kills. That being said I find the match up against the Mig 21 is a lot fun right now. JD AKA_MattE

Did it last night, needed to see how a Mig was able to sneak up on me, the Tacview matched the track very closely, certainly enough to show how he was able to get in on my 4 undetected and where I made mistakes. I can see if you played for hours on end it could be a problem but I got into the habit of rebooting on a regular basis when there was the memory leak so now I still do it (or the game crashes) so I can segment the tracks. Works for me, your results may vary. JD AKA_MattE
  25. You guys know that you can just play the track from your sortie on that server and then use Tacview right? It takes a little time but it works fine. JD AKA_MattE
