@BonerCatmight i suggest rather than just giving a sort of half baked opinion on the matter maybe outline some cons as to why you think this is bad? IS the model not good enough? is it a PITA to remember to have to take out chocks before engine start? Perhaps adding it as a ME option? wording things constructively could make it seem like you have concerns than not having a leg to stand on just saying I dont like it.

[ED's SIDE] Tarawa taking off position issue
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to kirk7312's topic in Resolved Bugs
Alright guys, i think youre getting a little worked up over something very minor here with all those !!!! points. So if |I'm understanding this correctly, the AI in a HOT start, will start from a parking spot normally but if you start HOt as a client or as player it will start you at the front of the boat? -

[USER ERROR] IRMAV does not uncage - NAV to A/G mode
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to vctpil's topic in Resolved Bugs
Did you save your .trk? -
@DanielNL i dont know what to say man, not sure how to approach this any other way than being honest with you. That was a terrible attack profile, from the slow speed to the clumsy roll in im not surprised you missed and had inaccurate fire. Also anyone else want to tell me why people feel the need to always press the feckin CMBT button. Its an EMERGENCY system not ALL THE DANG TIME FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO BUTTON. Daniel. Try that again but this time I want you to follow some steps - starting alt is going to be 8000 ASL= TGT ALT @ 350kts and everything is set up and ready to go extend to 10nm point at tgt maintain 350kt@8k+tgtalt at 5nm ( left or right depending where threats are) i want you to offset 30 degrees off your heading maintain 350kt@8k+tgtalt when the target reaches the forward canopy from ( the round frame) it should be roughly 45 degrees off your L or R roll in and put the pipper over the target in the shortest time possible and HOLD IT maintain above 70% throttle to operate gun or whatever the density alt is STAY ON TARGET you may notice that if you were trimmed out at 350kt you may be putting forward pressure on stick... good once in range, simultaneously fire the gun and let the stick go neutral, then perform defensive maneuvers and extend. Show me that this does not work for you and well take another look.

I think there was some logic change for the Anti Radiation missiles recently however I will look into it further. Report. Trested in CB and OB. No issues locking up SA 6, 8 , 15, 19 or EWR at 12nm in caged, roughly 9-8nm in uncaged. Check you have IR Cool on after you fence inandf give it 90 sec. Then A/G mode, MA on, select gun MPCD button 10 and then SA with MPCD button 10 again. Note this was done from 12,000 ASL + TGT, slight 5 degree dive was initiated at 15nm. Try this out, make a short.trk file showing your work and let me know if this works for you or not.

AI flight is always a weird thing in DCS, usually they can defy physics up to a certain point to either catch up to you etc. Marking AS INTENDED and moving to RESOLVED

[RESOLVED] AV8B goes supersonic after dropping 10 GBU-38's
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Xpendable's topic in Resolved Bugs
So on the attempts you showed there, I did not see you indicate what % your throttle was at, only on the unarmed take off. I dont use full throttle unless im maneuvering or taking off. Attempting this with 80% to 90% throttle I was unable to exceed M0.97 and even there I received severe buffeting Regardless. The Harrier is not meant to go supersonic. It is capable of going supersonic and definitely can go there with the trust it has. HOWEVER, there are many many MANY indicators and guides to tell you you should not attempt it, and if you are going that fast you should be reducing your speed immediately. Just because you can. Does not mean you should. -
[FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION] Tarawa Optical landing system not working
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Gone1Crazy's topic in Resolved Bugs
OK, well I need a much more detailed explanation as to what youre doing. Are you just attempting to go in and land? Are you contacting the tarawa to get landing permission? Are you in line to land? Also with everything, you need to provide a short .trk demonstrating the issue. -
That is indeed one of the restrictions when entering with unlimited fuel selected. IF thats the case, then you probably want to set your wet weight to below 22500lbs prior to adding weapons in the ME. Marking as USER ERROR and moving to RESOLVED

Aiming Carets incorrectly placing above VV
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Freefall231's topic in Resolved Bugs
We all learn something new, glad you were able to figure it out. MArking as USER ERROR and moving to RESOLVED. -
Rgr, shouldn't need to keep it at 0 so bring it down until the problem occurs, then revert back to the value before the value at which it starts causing issues. Marking as USER ERROR and moving to RESOLVED.
-
Ok, so between myself and others I've had try this as well as consulting an actual aerodynamicist, I can now say with confidence that this is intended behaviour due in part to elevator position ( which includes current trim) as well as roll inertia. Marking AS INTENDED and moving to RESOLVED.

Aiming Carets incorrectly placing above VV
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Freefall231's topic in Resolved Bugs
Perhaps entering it as 22 is as a positive value, did you try preceding it with the - key? Illl check iwith the SME to see how this actually works -
Right but if it starts rolling at that point then if the roll rate is not stable but increasing, then the roll lift and intertia would overcome gravity would it not? IM not an aeronautical engineer but knowing the basics of aeronautics and using logic thats what I would deduce.

do either of you have a dead-zone set on your sticks? The AFC compensates for external forces and attempts to keep the aircraft in the attitude and bank it was set. What may be occurring is that the stick is moving ever so slightly and the AFC is picking that up and attempting to compensate for it. If you could attempt to set your dead-zone at say 20 for the two axis and try that way. Make sure you save a .trk of that flight in case it does occur, if it doesn't then you can reduce the number by 5 and try again to find your ideal dead-zones.

[RESOLVED] Fuel Probe toggle key binding no longer works.
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Mezsh's topic in Resolved Bugs
Sorry getting back to the forums after the updates, cannot moderate threads ATM but has been reported. -
THe CCRP behaviour for the Mirage is correct, it seems backwards but is correct in its behaviour. As you see the indicator say rise on the left and lower in the right, think of it as you need to dip your wing in that direction to drag it back down rather than steer towards it.

most of those have been passed over to ED as the team was unable to find a solution for them. TTT= Time To Target TOT= Time On Target

Alright, if you came here looking for updates on planned modules, sorry but there is none outside of what was mentioned in the Q4 update. Major work is still on hold until we feel current modules have been finished. However moving on to the holidays, the team has been very hard at work on minor bugs and polishing features either not present, or had a stand-in system until the full system could be implemented. AS of today, these are the fixes that have been submitted to ED and are currently undergoing testing in Closed Beta. RAZBAM Changelog AV-8B NA: - Don't reset stick pitch position to centered when using keyboard commands to match behavior of other DCS aircraft - SKID WCA no longer illuminates with parking brake engaged - Aircraft will now taxi roll on idle power if brakes or parking brake is not applied or nozzle deflection is not used to control taxi speed - Parking brake will now be engaged by default for all ground start missions - Added F-14A to the RWR library - Nozzle stop now moves in steps based on the lock locations - Nozzle lever now will latch slightly around the hover stop to simulate hitting the hover stop - Enabled show/hide VR body (and force stick and throttle visible when VR body enabled) - Enabled mirrors clickable - Enabled show/hide stick and throttle clickable - Merged missing command definitions from keyboard to joystick - Included Mission Route Plan page in the kneeboard. - Bugifx: selected weapon box remains after store depleted - Enabled: Mission Editor Waypoint Properties. Now it is possible to set a waypoint as target zone, IP and to define offsets M-2000C - Added F-14A to the RWR library - Added F-14A to the RDI library - Don't reset stick pitch position to centered when using keyboard commands to match behavior of other DCS aircraft - Bugfix: TDC waypoint range and bearing info display condition - Bugfix: HSI knob decrease value - Bugfix: ADI "pôle" mode not working on INS failure - Bugfix: PRET keeps blinking after alignment is finished and INS is set to NAV - Bugifx: INS decimal value - Bugifx: INS short alignment - Bugfix: INS off has no impact - Update: HUD altitude display conditions - Update: HUD RS arrow display conditions - Fix: External 3D Model. - SELH behaviour improved - Added VTB heading tape indicator behaviour - Fix TDC position should reset to range 7.9 and azimuth 0 when switching from search mode to scan - fix HUD RS Arrow update Included with this post and attached is a description of the TOT or TTT for the Harrier. A new feature which will eventually be added to all of our modules either as a rudimentary system or integrated with the NAV system. While we might not all get to spend time with our families this year, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We're a family here so make sure to check in with your wing and make sure everyone is ok. Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year to you all. Stay on top of 2021, stay on it's 6 and FOX 2. [AS INTENDED] TPOD / IRMV MAV / Moving targets
RAZBAM_ELMO replied to Biga42's topic in Resolved Bugs
This is INTENDED. IRMAVs do track moving targets but IRMAVs are not aircraft sensors. Their locks are not system designations. So once the system moves to the MAV, it does not continue tracking on another system updating it. Marking AS INTENDED and moving to RESOLVED. -
Thankyou. I will look into this further.
