I'm not a fan of the F-35, but what are you smoking. He said that the plane doesn't have the full software uploads. But it will by 2021. That it gathers all the situational information faster that any other aircraft. The plane is in operational testing, I'm sure the A-10 wasn't up to pare when it was in operational testing phase. Like he said collect all the facts before making stupid comments.

You have to add them in the mission planner under the aircrafts payloads

@sithspawn I just re-watched wag's September 6th Q&A video and he says the ED is in line for releasing 1.5 later this month. Then he goes on to say the ED is set to release anytime from mid September to late September. Now that it's mid September does that mean Anyday now there will be a update to openbeta?

Man that fob looks great, and I have a question. I'm developing a several missions for a campaign I'm designing. Now there's is one mission in said campaign where a FOB falls under heavy enemy attack where the enemy actually breaks thru friendly lines creating a broke arrow situation. Triggering a call for all CAS aircraft in the area. With planes flying in from everywhere. Now my question is can the fob be designed as a very large scale FOB or is it just a template of one size?

No not really ED could allow map installs strictly thru their own installer, hence map designs can be submitted just like user files if approved that map could be added to the map download area and a price would be set and the portion or flat fee can be paid out to the creator. Everyone had the same argument with apple when apps were in the thought process, and apple designed a pay system for third party app developers. It's could work for DCS.

I agree, I'd like to fly missions over areas like Korea(both Current and Past), Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, the Ukraine, Bosnia, etc. And I'd also like to fly planes and Helicopters that are currently in DCS that aren't flyable, as well as that's are not including 5th Generation planes. Classified or not if other sims have them with all the bells and whistles so should DCS. the F-18C is still classified but yet its coming. Look DCS is great, but it could be so much more. Also take off in Germany and fly into Bosnia for a mission and back, or Kuwait into Iraq, etc. Another thing the NTTR in the desert of Vegas isn't the only area training exercises are run, there's California, Hawaii, Off the coast of Florida, Georgia at Fort Benning, I can go on, I know this because I've attended at least one in all those places.

LOL The Rescue run with the Blackhawks were designed as a medvav of the Forward patrol, but I need to make is so the Enemy doesn't wipe them out fully. -

By all means this is not the finished product, but I said I'd post this. Be aware there are AAA hidden By every airport that's red. Enjoy RW-A-10C Retake Poti-01.miz -

Triggering Cruise missile strike thru F10 radio option
Punisher74 replied to Punisher74's topic in Mission Editor
Thanks will do, to be honest it's the first mission in a campaign I'm designing taking place in 2014. Similar to the Ukraine incident, but with a spin that the U.S. got fully involved. The mission will be called troops in contact the retaking of Poti. I'm flying it tomorrow to see if the all the trigger fire correctly. And the vehicle movement timing is correct, so you're not just continuously flying over the city waiting for the ground forces to trigger the triggers. Since the battle starts when the recon patrol is ambushed. I wanted the mission to start while the pilots in the air and not on the ground at the airport starting up. if it all goes well add realtime voiceover and so on. Will post mission if all well tomorrow. -

Triggering Cruise missile strike thru F10 radio option
Punisher74 replied to Punisher74's topic in Mission Editor
When I added the destroyer I added a trigger action to fire on 3 points. Figuring the radio option when pressed would launch them. Much like you would trigger a push of a air strike package. -
I'm creating a missile where towards the end Id like to trigger a cruise missile strike on a compound. Which would trigger a escape buy a general. No I have on on destroy command to activate the general running. But on start of the mission the destroyer launches the missiles without my order. How do I setup the trigger so f10 fires them.

I'd build yourself a Gaming rig. Gaming on a Laptop isn't the way to go. I build my rig for around $900 and then added a extra video card and Ram for another $250 later on. And the Thrustmaster Warthog Stick and Throttle later for $415.00. See below for specs. the best site for buying parts is NEWEGG.com the 2nd best is tigerdirect.com. Good Luck.

Thank you I hope I will not have to do that every time, because it would be quiet annoying if one did.

I have a issue when using dynamic kneeboard in DCS when in missions I created the mission data that is being generated for the kneeboard is from the Campaign not the current mission I am about to fly. Is there a fix for this? Also I added the list of missions I created to the dynamic kneeboard and still the same issue.

Windows 10 does not like some of my hardware
Punisher74 replied to Zimmerdylan's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Sorry to hear that, I actually gained performance in DCS upgrading to windows 10. As for my hardware everything went fine too, all gear and there software transferred over fine. Good luck. I've had and will continue to have MAC's, but I only have a PC for DCS and other flight sims. And as for windows this is the best version I've seen ever. I still will not us my PC for browsing the web and downloading things other then from trusted sites like DCS but I enjoy this version -
Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Punisher74 replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Peterp I love your fix for the views but for some reason in the f-15c, and the a-10c the top of the HUD is cut off I need to duck down to read the upper part of it. Is there a way to shorten the pilot's height or neck size 1 to 2 inches shorter, without losing the separation of eye and pivot points? -
I'm running the fx8320 @4ghz which covers that lack of 30% at adds some. Making the results for my machine better that the results shown. But I get what you're saying
-
The 970 might be a over expensive workhorse, but this low end card as you put it can hang. The results speak for themselves Single card: http://www.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/270xoccorecl2kqzrgasmy.png Crossfire 2x http://www.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/overclock5osqyxrgkw.jpg Overclocked with the standard AMD gaming app at 1120mhz and 1400mhz memory clock.

If that's the case skate then I'm not sure what I did because after I installed the 2nd card my frames went for the 30's to 65 just confirmed it on my last flight at 12:46 to 2:43 in the a-10. From cockpit. Now my OC settings are the same as before, so I know it's not that. And as for a entry level card its specs are up to 4K on one card. So I'd say medium range card. The architecture on the 280 and up are less MHz then the 270, but the bits jump to 512. Now the Only reason I haven't jumped to the newer AMD cards is that the 300 series is the same as the 200 series just renamed. Except for the furyx and will as I do have the money to spend 650 for 1 card is outrageous. And since the human eye cannot see a frame rate cannot see past 120fps it really doesn't make sense when DCS 1.5 gets released in 1 month. Unless it's released earlier in open beta, but you'd know better on that then me. Now you think windows 10 had something to do with the increase in frames in DCS? The other thing I did was use the catalyst control center to hand the graphics calls to anti-aliasing, and all other image texture filters, lowered the pre load radius, trees amounts, etc. turning off vsync, Tssa, MSSA, anti-aliasing in game so the GPU handles to call rather then the CPU. Those were the things I did. But if those aren't what did it, then my assumption would be windows 10 improves performance to the point where the bottleneck is less then in windows 7 or 8.1. Anyways this will all be a mute point in a few weeks.

Only in dx9 in dx11 or even dx12 the 270x leaps forward. Newer AMD cards are designed for the newer DX versions. On a DX11 game I'm getting frames in the range of 120 with no dips. Without vsync and running in xfire high 180's or 190's DX9 is not supported in any AMD card passed 2011. DCS 1.5 is a much needed upgrade in software. Current DCS version: Now just today I adjusted the settings and with one card I'm getting 60 frames with high textures just lowered the water and shadows to low and scenes to medium, range to high and textures high in OC mode. That's flying in view from the pit. No texture mods. And I also achieved the impossible by running 2x GPU W/xfire Managed to not lose frame rates with both gpu's on and with 1 GPU on and 2x memory on in OC mode.
