    Harrier poll

AV-8B because gun honestly im not going to buy a gunless plane, be it gr7/gr9 or some pre-gun F-4 phantom (and I love F-4s)
  3. pfffffft give me dumb bombs and optical sight any day :joystick: , never touched su25t and never will
  4. yeah exactly, for this reason esp with my limited time im pretty much done buying DCS planes for a looooooong time, last thing i bought was the hawk during their 70% sale couple months ago (along with some for friends). my project im beginning soon is mig-21 and EFM hawk, and sicking to mig-15 and the russian FC3 planes. much more rewarding to me work to become a master and proficient on a plane. i even have made audio mp3s of mig21 youtube tutorials to listen to while commuting lol as review i do think they need to make a dedicated fighter/interceptor as a free plane too to get more people into DCS, somebody had the idea of Mig29A as a free to play plane
  5. yeah, so works with 1.5? or is watermanpc just lucky? hoping to do some serious simming tonight but want to fly over some snow!
  6. very cool! im a huge fan of ace combat :) really looking forward to playing this when time permits for NTTR i'd like to see a belkan war scenario :)
  7. somebody needs i think to make either late 3rd gen or 4th gen red fighter, be it an advanced mig-23 or a full fledged mig-29.
  8. i was under the impression that the mig-21 was proven the winner over the f-104 during one of the indian-pakistani wars, but not sure if it was the f-104g variant the pakistanis were fielding
  9. Of course we are all looking forward to CC but i would be happy camper just to have EFM on EB for Christmas but sounds like CC is coming before flight model Anywho thanks for update aviodev!
  10. Have you guys been doing these tests at equal above sea level (opposed to AGL)? On black sea and neveda maps that is
  11. voted for panther! but need blue and red, so sherman and panther
  12. hmm shame no measurements of the panels, is there any measurements/dimensions the cockpit interior size in general out there?
  13. Yes comrade! our mig-19s will turn their lake of imperialist greed into an OCEAN OF FIRE! seriously though the mig-19 after vietnam only experienced combat in ground attack role from my understanding and just in bush wars with relatively limited use use in iran-iraq war, again in ground attack. pakistanis did modify theirs to carry aim4 sidewinders. best match up for it would be a f-104. ehhh change my mind, id rather have my vote go to something we could use air-air in multi, mig-23
  14. suicide!? SUICIDE!? Any loyal comrade would immediately volunteer to die for our GREAT GENERAL! Besides, be thankful you're not assigned to a Mig-15 unit! war isnt supposed to be fair :D
  15. from top 10 have to chose F-15E we do need a red plane. Mig-23 or....... if I only have one vote then... Shenyang J-6!! (or simply throw my lot in with the mig-19 votes) airframe is still flown by the north korean comrades, and it service history is long enough it is potential opponent all the way from F-86 up to our modern planes.
  16. yeah thats is what im starting to think, 4600 or whatever at area 51 compared to near sea level along black sea...
  17. im not really understanding, why has take-off seemingly changed so much? is it the terrain's elevation? or was the flight model that incorrect? took me forever to learn how to take off and land before, i haven't had much free time, but i gave up trying on the kurfurst after three or four sessions last weekend trying to figure out how to take off (I was so pround of myself when i learned how to take off and land the 109 before, now all over again :( ) i thought i had assist off, but maybe i was mistaken. perhaps i should just take a break from WWII DCS and stick to flying 109s on cliffs and stalingrad until more patches come that might alter the flight model more. sigh with my time constrants i want to actually pull off a complete cycle - takeoff, shoot, and if live hopefully land when i sim. not just die repeatedly trying to get off runway. i've already cost the fatherland about 30 109s learning the first time through just on takeoffs (probably 70 trying to land lol). it was rewarding first time through, relearning second time will be tedious. edit: myabe ill switch to dora if i have to go through this all over again, a peak at the dora forum and it seems it has had a little alteration as well seemingly to its FM. i own but have never flown it before.. are more changes expected to either aircrafts' FM? (assuming its an FM or physics update). i dont want to take a DCS WWII break quite yet, I want to give the spitfires some fodder when it comes out (rather, i wish to feed on spit souls while theyre still noobs)
  18. no weapons yet
  19. yeah those pics are actually giving me second thoughts lol, but i still have to fully learn let alone master the planes i fly now (and i only fly a portion of them) before i invest time in another
  20. inadvertentlyleaked by steam
  21. i would watch this [ame] [/ame] take off everyone has their own way it seems, for me what works is i do stick 3/4 right, 2/3 back slowly neutralizing faster i go, no trim, no flaps, and many adjustments via pedals to keep straight during take off with visualizing feedback, not that im aware of but i only play on fullest realism settings good luck training! the fatherland will need all pilots at their best when the spitfire comes out
  22. i voted yes, or at the very least sell separately cheap like $3.00 its basic enough with just enough punch, it would get a lot of people into DCS I think who aren't interested in flying a ground attack plane or who simply cant afford. my machine was actually a very wonderful gift from my friend at a time when i was low in money and paying off debt. others who are younger than me in college or highschool most likely have machines which are gifts as well, Mig29 only needs like a $30 thrustmaster to fly
  23. awesome!!! thanks so much :)
  24. hey guys, my long term dream is a kurfurst pit. however, until i free up the time to make it i at least want to position chair and pedals to the proper height and locations they would be. the problem is i have been searching online for weeks for the dimensions of any 109 cockpit and cannot find any at tall. closest i get is this nice australian man selling the factory blueprints on ebay, which im probably going to buy eventually anyway but not quite yet. i want to sim on my bf109s but until i get a weekend off to start the i pit i still want to sit in that "formula 1" bf109 position whilst flying :pilotfly: so what im looking for is, if nobody has the dimensions for actual seat, roughly how (metric or english) high should my behind be off the ground (kind of hard with that dip in the seat) and how far away should pedals be from front edge of chair
