this is pretty much how i do it too, full flaps and +3 trim, though maybe 1 out of four or five times i find myself veering of the runway for some reason :/ even with tail wheel locked

against any russian aircraft right now (i.e. cold war relics) and the goofy stealth fighter theyre making the f-35 will win, bvr at least lol. so what happens in 2030 or 2035 when it goes up against stealth drones? and thats only 15 years away. the one poster talked about the f-22 sneaking up on an iranian f-4 from behind, so why couldn't theoretical drone stealth fighters or new manned stealth fighters coming out of turkey or asia, whether china, korea, indonesia or japan do the same to the f-35? now its a infrared missile (or more likely some sort of infrared locking future laser pod) dogfight. the most likely scenario is, against a developed enemy, there be a few manned stealth fighters and a whole bunch of drone stealth fighters (unlike the f-16 will be able to pull like 40 gs) it will have to deal with. it just seems to me the f-35 will be either even or obsolete like battleships about 10-15 years into its (full) operation life.

same here, i have zero desire for a sfm plane, never tried any of them that are sfm im for you guys getting f-117 but id rather get a multirole (cough Mitsubishi f-2 cough) or air superiority , i think we need to mix it up with these f-15s owning the day. but we have to wait i imagine for them to finish the mig29 and su33 before that

military surplus fighter jets are actually pretty cheap (i used to go through this monthly planes for sale magazine at my airplane mechanic school and i couldn't believe how cheap i could buy a mig for), its the fuel and especially the maintenance that makes up for it lol

firstly i never fanboy it out and kiss butt and defend companies esp when it comes to software. we all payed money and everyone has an absolute right to opinion, and id love an update too. that said though we're all very anxious to fly the C-101 as its meant to be flown (efm and bombs :pilotfly: ) and im dreaming about hog hunting with it on the 104th. BUT lets put things in perspective here, last update was month ago right? if it was march yeah but a month here. doesn't hawk and half of FC3 still have sfm? people are complaining its "part time" but lets be realistic here, is the non-steam c-101 going to feed kids and pay bills? (hopefully mirage f.1 will :D) im grateful theyre dedicated to make this happen despite having to work for a living and their personal lives. as much as i love aviation and simming/gaming, i wouldnt be able to do a project like this. theres also an unsubstantiated baseless rumor going around that ED is waiting for DCS 2 before next update - so feel free to put me in my place if im spreading lies lol

id rather see the f-16 as a full fledged sim since theres bound to be enough info on it now as a compromise i think the jap F-2 would be an awesome FC3 addition :D DCS is in serious need of some east asian birds

so i noticed blue had a mig-15 (at tbilisi-lochini) on able archer this evening and squee have to take it up for joy ride, however it spawns at whats looks like a helicopter launch area. no prob just gonna taxi but there was a literal tank (well, bmp) and two gents with aks blocking the taxiway! the noob is strong with me so is that normal? i mean dont really see how to get past without doing a little life fire test and see how mig15 cannons do against bmps lol

id take either f-102 or the f-106 :D but f-106 has a gun, either way if it ever happens (i think razbam has made one for fsx) air-to-air nukes is a must

yeah i was going to say, the real thing is a typical regular military plane under the skin.. making it wouldnt any more difficult than any other fighter for dcs, probably easier since it doesnt have a radar. while it would have a cool factor at first the more i think of it it probably get boring carrying two bombs and pretty much baby sitting the autopilot for the entire mission even though retired they still go up occasionally http://intercepts.defensenews.com/2014/11/we-now-know-why-the-f-117-is-still-flying/

i was thinking similar, only with starights i would assume red would also get su-25, mig-29 and mig-21 (to simulate the f-7). regardless whether nevada or persian gulf im looking forward to driving a red mig-28 or any type of mirage. really though with the typhoon (and f-15 and f-18 and no mountains to hide from them in, no idea how thats going to work for the reds over open ocean, not that im complaining i like fidelity and i like a challenge :D anways with an su-35, i really cant imagine anything like that happening as much as id love it. with the info available dcs would pretty much be making a fictional fighter that at best would approximate what an su-35 can do (or not do)

id voted for C and would really like the european nato scenario. but personally i like alternate history/fictional scenarios in general (there was much glee on the day i got il2 1946). but perhaps option B would be better to simulate a nato invasion from turkey or black sea thats seized coastal assets? a plus with C (or a revised nato attack B scenario) is that the bf109 can be used with the czechs (and romanians) and nato of course was still flying p51s at the time

i have to wonder too how much further it's "stealth" or rather stealthy characteristics will be compromised by its external payload, and how often it would be equipped with external weapons in combat situations... id imagine it would make sneaking up a little more difficult
