How do I get rid of this on my screen?
-
someone tryed to export the mfcds to another screen in the FA18C ?
Rickety replied to Capt Zeen's topic in Home Cockpits
+1. Dofile this and dofile that. I'm lost. Is there someone that can share their working and completed lua files? I have Helios working(switches and buttons) but no exports of any kind. Left DDI is blank in cockpit. Would appreciate some help. -

Bravo  Thank you for this! -
No apologies needed with all the time and effort you put into these

Thanks David OC. I have that check mark checked in the settings and I understand how to set snap views. My problem is when I first enter the cockpit on any mission. By default I enter with the view I posted above....like I'm sitting on the floor. It doesn't do that when I enter the F-15: Is there a default view file somewhere I can delete? Edit: I got it. Thanks for the help. The snap views you mentioned put me in the right direction. There was a saved "snapview" file in my saved games folder. I deleted it and it is back to normal. I haven't set any before but like I said I know how. Maybe I made one by mistake.

Every time I enter the cockpit, I get this view. I have to raise my seat all the way up just to see out of the HUD and then zoom way in. I'm not sure what I did to get it this way. How do I reset this view? It's like someone ripped out the seat and I'm sitting on the floor!

As usual great job! Looking forward to this one.

I like it. Something like this can be printed out for handy reference. -

Thanks to the 104th for hosting this and thanks for everyone involved. Look forward to more tournaments. The commentators made it really fun to watch. Great job Hook and Manawar. -
If you have to resize it at all make sure you hold down the "Shift" key or the panels will get jumbled. See tutorial: [ame] [/ame] You can skip ahead to around 7:00 where he talks about resizing a panel.

Hi AstroEma. It might not be the ram. I had 8Gb in mine and the gauges were slow. I recently upgraded my rig to 32Gb and it is still the same. In older versions of DCS the gauges in the A-10C were flawless for me but not so well with the newer versions of DCS. For my experience with Helios and the gauges not working at all, it always came down to something wrong with the export.lua file.

You're welcome. Sorry, can't help with the gauges. I have the same issue myself.

The export.lua file should be placed in C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts. I'm not sure if you have the beta or alpha installed(I have both). Mine looks like this for the alpha: C:\Users\Rob\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Scripts. I created a "scripts" folder for both alpha and beta and placed the "export.lua" there and it works for both. If you don't have a "scripts" folder in your "Saved Games/DCS" folder, create one and place the export.lua there. VERY IMPORTANT Also check this page(but don't worry about the TARS stuff). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102034 It states: The change introduced with DCS World 1.2.3.9871 is that the file "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Export\Export.lua" and config.lua in the same directory is ignored by DCS, but used by both TARS and HELIOS. Instead DCS now looks for "C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua". You can also try to use the "export.lua" file that came with Capt.Loz 2.1 profile and place that in the "scripts" folder you created/have in the saved games folder. This worked for me. Try to run the game without starting the Helios profile you created if you haven't tried this already. This will show the all of the viewports on your other monitor. The "digital clock" may be hidden behind Helios and not in the correct spot? My Digital Clock looks like this from my monitor.lua: } DIGIT_CLOCK = { x = 2284; y = 667; width = 80; height = 85; } Hope this helps.

I've noticed this too with him just sitting on the runway. One time after I shut down my engines he started rolling again. I don't know if this works all of the time though.

Rest in peace Blooze.

Yes, it works for both.

Sobe. Once you have a successful connection the command line will change to "disconnect from sim". The "connected" box below "presets" will be checked showing you are connected too. Yes, if you close the command box it closes Leavu. -

When you set up the windows in Leavu, did you use the adi ball for the rwr or the mfd? -

There is no ".exe" for Leavu. The file you need is in the Leavu folder. It is called "LEAVU2". It is an "Executable Jar File". Find that file, right click on it and select "send to desktop"(create shortcut). Go to your desktop, right click the shortcut and click "open with", and select Java. Then follow G3's readme from there. -

I'll try to help as best as I can. I'm not the smartest either. I spent a lot of time testing this, editing that, pulling out hair :) I'm running windows 10. I did not download any service packs. I could not install the Java - jre-8u71-windows-i586 x32 file as it would not install. 1. Not running Leavu as admin. but DCS I am. 2. I followed the installation instructions in the readme from G3. I extracted the Leavu Client to my G:/program files folder(I have multiple drives). Then I extracted the dll folder to my desktop. I then opened that folder, cut and pasted the 6 dll files into C:/windows/SysWow64. I extracted the Fc2 "export" folder to the games config folder f:/programfiles/dcsopenbeta/config. The "export.lua file then gets copied and pasted to your scripts folder in c:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta 3. I did not download any service packs. I could not install the Java - jre-8u71-windows-i586 x32 file as it would not install. 4. Most of the problems I had was trying to get Leavu to run with DCS. Once I tried the newer Leavu that G3 recently posted, it worked. Once I downloaded this newer file. I started over from scratch(new shortcut, making new windows, sizing...etc). I may not be sure but I think most of the problems stem from the "export.lua file. I've learned from messing around with Helios that if the export.lua isn't right it won't work. Let me know if you have any other questions.
